I realize this was a quicker budget rerelease on PS2, so I wasn’t expecting the main graphics to change other than a downgrade in clarity, but the FMV BGs from mpeg1 to mpeg2 I thought would be more noticeable, but it even looks like some detail was lost rather than an upgrade all around of the video playback.
i wish a switch version with both part 1 & 2

The PS2 is really struggling with those basic straight lines, isn't it? No wonder why they zoomed the camera out a bit.
Not that it really helps.
But the cinemas look like they're less compressed, so there's a consolation prize.
Yeah using Anti-aliasing on the PS2 usually halved the performance. So devs would have the cut the game the frames or resolution.
one of my fav games on ps2
the interlaced video on ps2 not helps, dremcast show 480p
A Versão do Dreamcast leva uma boa vantagem contra essa do Ps2 hehe
Both are
Amazing 😍
This game was really hard
surprised how much better Dreamcast looks vs PS2.
Ah yes, those PS2 "jaggies".
52:41 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

Right chu chu chu chu chu chu up chu chu chu
Dreamcast always looked sharper. But PlayStation 2 could do more polygons
Agreed, the PS2 had to use odd resolutions to save on memory. I think something like 640X224, 640X448 and 512X384 interlaced were typical with a few 480P sprinkled here and there.
Yeah the lack of VRAM and the performance hit from using Anti-aliasing killed the image quality on PS2. Though for some reason the PS2 had the most 3D 60fps games until the PS5/XsX.
The only difference is the higher resolution of the DC version (480p). What about loading time?
Exactly, people say dc version" is just "superior" or "more powerful" when its not
Dreamcast put 420p on VGA so always will look more crispy but with the ORIGINAL PS2 component cables the Sony console really looks amazing, will be cool if for this comparations use them
Eu nem sabia que tinha esse jogo pro Ps2
3:23 different VO??? I never knew!
There's talk of sharpness, I'd like to point out that it looks like the PS2 was rendering in interlaced mode (Thus the "horizontal lines problem"), which looks absolutely better in an interlaced display like a TV of the time, but it looks blocky and shimmery in a modern display.
Both versions are switching backgrounds with bad timing and they are worse than the other at different scenes. No winner there.
I don't think they were different VOs, I believe they were just different takes of the original recordings from the same actress that the people that ported the game didn't realize they had used. This sort of thing was more common in ported games back then than realized.
@@OKeijiDragon one of the voices is Ulala’s Japanese voice.
is a little reference but i agree
Playstation 2 sempre passando vergonha!
@@pires7spc Nem sempre...
Dreamcast e muito mais nítido e suave
Very clearly, the DC version looks the best! Better contrasts, more sharpness!
Always the dc, you will never get to see some game like god of war 2 or even any game using havoc engine in dc
Dreamcast Wins ♡♡♡
Dreamcast version looks better in almost every way
OK, so what I learned is that stages go on for too long.
This is starting to give me Ben 10 (2016 - Switch) vibes in terms of longevity
Faruzan miku color scheme + sugar conspiracy theory & follow me music video = harajuku tokidoki kawaii style hatsune miku for sale in new york only. Candace as ankha dance + ankha phonk = harajuku tokidoki kawaii style sandy dunes of egypt for sale in luxor las vegas only.
Whats bro yapping about
The one thing Sega got right with the Dreamcast was the color. DC has amazing color reproduction when using the VGA. I didn't watch the whole video but from what I saw the DC takes it for sharper visuals and outstanding color.
Lo único que acertó?
the only thing? Seriously?
@@andore_btt Yes! It didn't have enough memory, limited polygonal output, Seganet didn't catch on, should have launched with broadband instead of dail up. No DVD drive which limited sales. Audio wasn't forward with stereo output as the world started to move towards HDTV and high quality 5.1 surround sound systems. Media drive was limited in it's capacity and would have became an issue. The console was easily cracked and probably has better emulators than the PS1. Sega didn't have enough capital to launch the console. The Controller with the VMU was a cool touch, but six buttons, single analog, and I think it lacked built in rumble. There weren't a whole lot Sega got right looking at the bigger picture. I understand this and I'm a former Sega fan boy as I had the console, followed by Xbox in 2002, PS2 in 2005. Dreamcast should have launched for $300 with DVD drive, 32 MB/16MB of CPU and GPU ram. Add an additional 50 MHZ to the CPU and GPU cores and Sega would have increased the longevity of the console for $100 more.
A better strategy for Sega was to launch the console worldwide on 9-9-1999 instead of November of 1998 in Japan with horrible software. This would have given Sega another year to advance the hardware and software. Key components would have been the DVD drive, additional ram, and add 3 additional ROPs to the GPU with T&L and TEV shaders. A better controller would have been nice but not critical.

Y para qué quieres una máquina más potente si así y como estaba le daba tres patadas al PS2?

Simply the Dreamcast wins! the ps2 version is too blurry and seems to have lower resolution.
