That's interesting that David described Scully as Mulder's "human credential." I never thought of it quite that way. It definitely seems fitting though. She keeps him grounded in a way that no one else can. He's totally obsessed with his work on discovering the paranormal, conspiracies, aliens, etc... and his love for Scully is really the only thing in his life that comes close to the devotion he has to this cause of his. As shown pretty explicitly in "Pusher," Mulder would sooner blow his own brains out than hurt her.
I love this video. It's amazing that Mulder and Scully have such as relationship that surpasses the physically attractive alone. I would love to be in a relationship built like the one between Mulder and Scully. It's really beautiful that a simple "touch of a hand could be the same as making love in another series", to quote Gillian Anderson. They are more than best friends, yet they also possess qualities unlike that of a typical T.V. romantic relationship. LOVE IT!!!

Yes, the one where in the beginning Scully is getting dressed in the bathroom in the middle of the night and leaving Mulder's apartment, leaving him sleeping naked in the bed. If you listen to the director (Gillian Anderson's) commentary on the DVD, she says that this was the episode where they actually spent their first night together. Oh and sorry, I actually meant to reply to the comment ABOVE yours, to someone who said they slept together in season 8.
i watched the show when it was on, and then at christmas i got all the dvds...i did the same as you and had am xf marathon. rekindled the flame, and now my xf love affair is even stronger

@dranweshaghosh It is the episode "paper heart" from season 4. Same here ! I've been addicted to the x-files since I was 11. In France it first aired in 1994 and I looked at it a year after. I only could see the 9 seasons in English when I was 24 !! And God knows how badly I wanted it !! ;o) I remember going to the Sussex when I was 12 and looking at it on TV.
@NEXTLOVER yeah i noticed that about gillian too, she seems very down to earth! i don't get why she isn't a bigger star! mulder is good-looking but i always thought gillian was too hot for him
season 6 is def the best i have watched mostly all of the episodes in season more than 10x xcept 4 the one's called like "one son" "two father" (somthing like tht)

It's hard to choose just one but in my opinion the very best are the 4, 5, and 6. But then again they are all great.
