But seriously, I can only imagine how surreal it must've been to meet Butch after your history with him as well as your admiration for his older work. Also, I'm loving your podcast with Veronica. I look forward to every episode.
I have a friend who worked very close to butch Hartman. He says even before everyone started hating him, he was always maniacal and extremely egotistical. To the extent that he full on believed butch had narsasistic personality disorder.
He says the only reason no one knew was because nickelodeon was managing his image. Now that he's on his own, cracks started to form.
At one point, both him and Butch were up for different Emmies. He got it, but butch didn't. The next day at work, the first thing butch says when he walks in the door is "hey how'd it feel to win an Emmy? I wouldn't know having never gotten one"

Maybe the true troll this whole time was Butch scaring Mark into giving him a normal interview instead of going through with his prank interview.
I'll give Butch this much credit; he takes care of himself pretty well. You wouldn't know he was a few years shy of 60 from looking at him.

Even though I dislike butch, I am amazed with how professional and respectful you were during the interview. Yes you did trick Him with your identity. But you didn’t ask him uncomfortable questions or try to expose him unfairly. I do not like Butch and how he acts and how he believes autism can be cured (it can’t, I’m sick of people saying That) and people like that make me uncomfortable as someone with autism. And also the whole Oxasis streaming service. But you conducted the interview so well and with so much respect and not invading his privacy.

I'm glad you could get your senses together and have fun interviewing Butch. Even though, despite the fact I can tell with some topics like the live action Fairy Oddparents reboot you couldn't really share your real thoughts about it.
Anyway just wanted to say I've been enjoying the podcast a ton, and I'm really looking forward to the interview with Hugh Neutron's VA.

I was actually incredibly confused as to how you were able to get an interview with Butch. Like I kind of assumed he wouldn’t want anything to do with you after how much you’ve dunked on him. I’d unironically like to see you do another collab with him.
I love how absurd the premise of the gag was, to actually have happened and then spurred more like it.
It reminds me of the video game detective work of Nick Robinson who’d constantly fly from California to Japan and back to talk to industry veterans (and in one instance the most popular American person on Japanese television). Honestly didn’t expect such incredible dedication from any cartoon discussion RUclipsrs; it’s delightful to see. Definitely gonna check out everything on Meeting Halfway, and I look forward to each future episode

Honestly I'm glad you guys just did a normal podcast instead of just fucking with the guy. He seems like a cool dude, just made a few dumb decisions in the past.
