i dont get the hate. lets see what this guy can do, its a one year deal and if it doesnt work out hes probably gone with stiechen and ballard. i think our defense will be noticeably improved

The hate is because these "fans" want them to sign/higher all these shiny names because they think they'll be better because they're shiny lol

Idk about hate, but my skepticism comes from the Bengals defense being an unmitigated dumpster fire this last season. When you had people like Flus, Saleh and Dennis Allen potentially available, grabbing the DC from one of the worst defenses is the league doesn't really inspire a ton of hope. The fact that it's a one year deal also makes it seem like they expect it to not work out.

@NameTaken123 I hear that but gotta look at his body of work as a whole not just " what have you done for me lately" as far as those names you gotta remember people have to WANT the job can't force anyone. I'm just excited we have someone with a different mindset then " bend but don't break " we've allowed every team we've played the last three years to have franchise record setting numbers

@NameTaken123 well if that was the case we wouldn't be talking about him cuz he would still be with the Bengals. I'm glad he's here and gus is gone. Will be a fun team to watch and Defense should put Richardson in better situations

@frankbenji2138 yea sometimes a team just needs to shake things up, but yes I'm excited to see a different approach on the defense

Of course JJ brings up Carlies being from Mizzou 😉 I’m cautiously optimistic. I think this could also benefit Richardson’s development with the way Lou describes his experience in Cincinnati.

Ngl listened to old podcasts about Gus Bradley and the hopes for that hire sounds the same as this one. Only difference is we hoped Gus helped develop DL and this time we hope Lou helps DBs

The arguments are the exact same even the part of the colts having more talent than the DC’s past team😭😭

JJ's shoe being partially untied...triggered my ocd. Great interview though with the new DC!

Fun fact: It wasn't untied, those shoes just have extremely long laces for some reason.
