the entire sketchbook is so charming and colourful, i loved the use of paper scraps pasted in to extend the drawings, and the studies were very interesting to look at truly sorry that you got rejected, your talent and expression is amazing and i hope you get into the next place you apply, your skill and the visible work you put to achieve it deserves that
I wanna share something I overheard a few calarts students have said , they said that the admissions office told them that the sketchbook isn’t that important, I mean they do check it but they don’t look at every page they mostly skim through a few pages , the most important thing is the portfolio
So true- that's why I was sure to title this "application rejected" instead of "rejected sketchbook". It's just fun to post the video we all already had to film
I'm confused at how Calarts selects students. Some applications are so perfect that you wonder why they even need school. From what I can tell you've got range and creativity. The technical issues I would imagine that's what the school's for. So confused.
How did this get rejected??? They clearly don't know what they're dealing with, you're an astounding artist and any art program would be lucky to have you
Sorry you couldn't make it, but ur sketchbook is really cool!! You definitely got lots of skill

How I'd love to see a comic or a series in your art style
the human skeleton page still rocks
Thanks for sharing. That was fun.
I love your sketchbook 😍
Really good work!! Good luck on your journey :D
Rejection makes you a stronger artist! 👊🍕
