The funny thing is everything Kacchan says at dinner and after dinner ends up being a weird sort of compliment about how good Fuyumi's cooking is XD
Bakugo reminds me of Inosuke. They push themselves to be the best and show off. And they constantly get mad at others when they surpass them. The motivation they both have regardless of the conditions and consequences.
It’s weird, while I genuinely believe that Endeavor feels bad, it’s also kinda... hard for me to care? It all just feels like too little too late for me.

This man got so many chances for this "change of heart" before, but he *chose* to start changing only *after* he got what he wanted. Only now, as his selfish goal is complete, he started thinking about his family. And he still hasn't even done anything substantial for them. He just keeps running away, hoping that the consequences of his own actions won't come back to bite him. And it's sad that it's kinda working. He tormented his family for 2 decades, ruined Rei and Touya's futures, and still hasn't faced enough consequences for his actions. He didn't lose his family. Didn't lose his career. His sidekicks are still following him. And he never even cared about public opinion anyway. The only bummer is Dabi but it's not like he doesn't run away from facing him either.
He's an interesting character, but I just can't sympathize with him.
@@danondivanov8316 Feeling however you do is valid, but he didn't get what he wanted any more than Bakugo "got what he wanted" when he won the sports fest- they have the exact same response ("I refuse to accept this"). And what happened to Touya is absolutely still with him- he still leaves offerings at the shrine 10 years later and *agrees* with Natsuo that he "basically killed Touya". As for "doing anything substantial"- he's buying them a new house and giving them complete control over whether or not they interact with him, and I'm not sure what else he could really do.

and re: facing Dabi, he hasn't really been running from that- Hawks and Shouto decided the fighting line up over Endeavor's objections, and the more recent shots seem to pretty clearly be Endeavor pulling Dabi away from the fight to avoid collateral (and empower Dark Shadow). It's being drawn out for dramatic effect more than for any other reason lol
@@o0Evo0oHonestly, while buying that house was a good start, there’s honestly plenty of stuff he could still do. For me, the fact that he still seems perfectly content with keeping his job and wealth, in retrospect, really makes me wonder how much he wants to atone. And honestly, it really does feel like he’s been putting off the Touya situation, since even before Hawks’s plan, he basically ditched the whole family right after agreeing to help with Touya.
And sure, I’ll give it to him that he’s following Hawks’s plan, but honestly, that still only works so much for me, since he barely objects and he still needs Touya to come to him. It’s all just really messy to me.
I feel like I could get turned around on this if he plays a huge role in saving Touya, but as of right now, his “atonement” feels super disingenuous to me since it really feels like he’s done the bare minimum at this point despite making like, three speeches about it. 😅
@@natsuotodoroki Who does it help if he quits/looses his job though? His job is literally saving people lol and as far as his wealth goes, while he's definitely loaded he doesn't seem to be like. Luxuriating in it, if that makes sense? If nothing else, the kids benefit from it at least as much as he does
And objecting to the match ups would be counterproductive, since it would mean arguing *with Shouto* and being really stupid on a tactical level- they're prioritizing splitting everyone up, and Endeavor is by far the best opponent to pit against AfO
His atonement wrt Touya is a whole other issue, and it'll probably depend on what counts as "saving Touya," but I'd be really surprised if Touya never gets some kind of "Daddy loves you" affirmation

I highly recommend you watch the movies before season 6.
Movie 1 is set between season 2 & 3
Movie 2 is set just after Class A & B joint training.
Movie 3 is set just before season 6.
There is a scene at the end of season 5 that sets up season 6 and the 3rd Movie is before that but yeah.
I mean you don't miss a whole lot if you don't watch the movies but it is very entertaining, you also meet several cool new characters.
Movie 2 is set after MVA, Movie 3 is set during this arc
they just didn't show blackwhip in movie 2 to avoid spoilers since season 4 was airing at the time

@@Daniel-lq5qq technically they're not, but I did read somewhere that Horikoshi works closely with the movie writers directors etc... to fit the movies in certain places where nothing happened so it lines up well with his series so that they are what I like to call Soft Canon.
While not based from thr manga they do have important adventures for the characters and the creator works heavily with it to stay true bit canon.

It will never not be hilarious to me that Kacchan's temper tantrums become 100x less effective once he's confronted with Fuyumi's "Nice Teacher Lady" energy
+Rei's in the hospital getting treatment, she's not just locked away in there- they definitely know about her issues since her doctor agreed about keeping her husband at a distance. It's strongly implied she'd stopped trying to "get better" after Touya died, and didn't really start recovering until Shouto went to see her
I don't know if I could forgive Endeavor, I'm a see-saw when it comes to that, but I like to think that I can forgive, but never forget.

The end of this season and season 6 is god-like
I think Endeavor is more easily forgivable than your typical abusive person, because his life has been devoted to saving people in a way. I'm of the belief that Endeavor was initially a good person at his core who wanted to save people as a hero (even as an adult), but he let his obsession with surpassing All Might twist him into an awful person.

1. Endeavor slapped Rei in the manga
2. After the hot water, Rei desperately tried to heal Shoto's face with her ice. Suzy, you can't do that because that doesn't help at all. If you apply ice on a VERY bad burn it will infected your skin, making it worse and giving you permanent scars like Shoto's.

The movies are decent, but imo they are very skippable. I don't think they're anywhere near as good as the main story, and they have no relevence whatsoever to the main plot.
Bruh the moviesss are amazing :p and definitely shouldn’t be skipped and not appreciated just because they might not involve anything with the main story
