I quite enjoyed that tour - everything is so new and shiney. Certainly different than the farms I grew up on! I had to google the price of a robotic milker - OUCH!!! I found their silage pits so interesting - I guess I remember them being underground. Another dairy farmer I watch just toured the Walker farm out there - that was interesting too - value added manufacturing. Be cool if all three of the families could get together and start their own processing.
All I see in American is the demise of the small family dairy farm such as my family many years ago. It is so encouraging to see young first generation dairy farming success. That sure looked like a wonderful farm family and operation. Thank you so much for sharing. The world needs to be watching what it takes to feed us all.
My wife and I LOVE watching your farming adventures. We come from an agricultural background and miss it. You and several other Ag sites allow us to watch and enjoy. Keep up the great work!
I am with Eddie on the heat. My side 74 with heated seats, wife’s side 68 with heat off. Greatest thing for my almost 40 years of marriage. Keep those videos coming down the track!
So very interesting to see different barns, robots and learn how everyone has a unique way of doing things!!! Thanks for the tour - your cousin has a lovely face (not a radio face). LOL
@@brianrobinson6136 yes that’s what veal calves seem to get fed is whole corn. I’m not sure why, but that’s what I see every time I see veal calves somewhere. It is dry corn. I’m not sure it’s very common to feed high moisture to veal. Must be for health reasons.

Funny taste of music😂
Very curious of the dimensions in that heifer barn. Looks like a great set up!! Building width and straw pack width?
Over all barn size is 61x228.
Pack is 30 ft. Scrape is 13 ft. And feed alley is 16 ft
What was the first pen in the heifer barn being fed? It looked like strait whole corn.
I believe that was their veal calves. Whole corn mixed with a pellet
@@EddyKoster-st3wb I didn't know that's what veal calves were fed. Would that be dry or high moisture corn?

Your correct about robot brands ......once you have picked one you must follow your cult leader blindly 😂😂
Do you all sell your milk to a corperation or is it somethkng you sell on your own?
Milk in Ontario is all marketed through the dairy board.
You have to start talking on our videos somewhere besides in a noisy car. I can not understand what you are saying, to much background noise.
Something must be wrong with your phone then. I could hear them no problem
@@ryanlesperance7926yea i could hear them talking no problem aswell
