I was born in 1981 and I by the time I turned 7 years old Lawdy Miss Clawdy became one of my favorite songs! My dad always played alot of music for me and my brother back when we were growing up! Oldies, Spanish music, Motown, RnB, soul, funk and many other types of music!! I knew Jimmy Reed, Etta James, Fats Domino, Hank Ballard, all the way up to George Clinton, Funkadelic, Rick James, Prince, OH AND HOW COULD FORGET….. why James Brown of course!!! Shoot, I wanted to be the Chicano version of James Brown back in the 1990s!
Oh, and Lloyd Price was one of the first artists/songs I liked to listen to, yep my earliest memories of MUSIC started with Lloyd Price! Rest easy Sir🙏🏻
