    Such a humble dude with an obvious passion for what he does, and joy as he reminisces it. RIP Lloyd Price.

    Lawdy Miss Clawdy is a true ROCK ANTHEM - and Lloyd Price is a great exponent of the music. He made many great records and deserves his place in the Rock 'n' Roll of Fame.

    Staggered and Lawdy Miss Clawdy get me through their amazing melodies. Lloyd Price’s voice is smooth as butter. Seems like he was an easy guy to fall in love with.

    Rest In Peace Mr Lloyd Price🙏🏻. You were one of the ORIGINAL founding fathers of rock and roll! I was born in 1981 and I by the time I turned 7 years old Lawdy Miss Clawdy became one of my favorite songs! My dad always played alot of music for me and my brother back when we were growing up! Oldies, Spanish music, Motown, RnB, soul, funk and many other types of music!! I knew Jimmy Reed, Etta James, Fats Domino, Hank Ballard, all the way up to George Clinton, Funkadelic, Rick James, Prince, OH AND HOW COULD FORGET….. why James Brown of course!!! Shoot, I wanted to be the Chicano version of James Brown back in the 1990s!

      And Elvis Presley?

  • @khichfy
    @khichfy Год назад +1

    Elvis Presley imortalizou essa música que entre todos que a interpretaram a de Elvis deixa todas com muitas distâncias incluindo o seu notável compositor que só ficou conhecido graças a Elvis onde a gravou na RCA Victor em 1956. Nem a de Fats Domino chegou perto da de Elvis Presley!
    Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.

    On this day in 1952 {July 12th} Lloyd Price's "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" reached #1 {for 7 non-consecutive weeks} on Billboard's R&B chart...
    Two covered version have charted on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; Gary Stites {#47 in 1960} and the Buckinghams {#41 in 1967}
    Also covered by Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Paul McCartney {as a solo artist}, Joe Crocker, Dave Clark Five, Ronnie Hawkins, and Fats Domino {who played piano on Lloyd Price's original version}...

      Em 1952 ninguém conhecia e nunca tinha ouvido essa música que foi extraordinariamente popularizada por Elvis Presley na sua primeira gravação na RCA Victor em 1956.
      Só aí é que todos ficaram sabendo quem a compôs…
