I find it extraordinary that this song resonates as much for redhappyness (below) who is a churchgoer as it does for myself, an atheist. It reminds me of the frailty and profound beauty of all things human; of the power of community even if we disagree; of hope amidst despair. Of one's connection to oneself.
I just notice that they recorded this on my Mother's birthday - August 5th. She passed away this spring, but somehow their voices make all the feelings I have about that come together like a lot of raindrops that make up a river
The simple tune, the 9th leaves that haunting open feel..love the tune, the blend of their voices...simply beautiful...almost celtic in nature....is there anything more beautiful than harmony...? Love it...love it...
I was alerted to this song by a recent radio interview I heard here in Wales. Thanks for posting this video. Wow, what a song ... what singers. Life affirming music I call this. Da bo chi ffrindiau.
One of the best trios I think I've ever heard! Saw them earlier this year at Luther College :) All of their talents/voices work perfectly together...all three of them are phenomenal, passionate musicians!!! This is what music is all about.
Its been sung during the internment of the ashes of Matthew Shepard. I’ve just gone to pieces reading the #bbc news editorial. Hearing this song performed leaves me speechless #erasehate #matthewshepard. Rest in peace beautiful man 😔
Tears down my face at the second stanza. I utterly remember getting my best friend out and carrying him: This is the sound of voices two.... Fuck me, I'm crying.
My music class is singing this song at our concert at the end of the school year and i can definitely say that there are gonna be tears shed.. Such a calm and perfect song.
I sing with Amasong, which is an all woman's chorus, and we're singing this piece! To be honest, this song didn't grow on me until very recently, and now, I absolutely love it. I actually went ahead and bought their "40 days" album, which is awesome ("Morning Dawn" being one of my favorites). Thanks for posting!
Dicovered these girls and this song in The Putumayo "Women of the world" record. I 've been touched by the sweeteness of their voice, the meaning of the lyrics...There is a French movie called "One voice/d'une seule voix" about Palestinians muslims and christians playing with jewish israelians artists touring in France in 2005 or 6, I think. This song could resume the message of the movie...
i'm performing this at a concert at a festival day thing with the best hip hop rap/artist on the island (he's really good at guitar and drums) and a teacher, and possibly and opera singer. we are all going to be singing and i'm going to be playing guitar (or violin). i'm just afraid my voice will be able to go that high (me being the only girl, i'll have to try really hard O.o) but it's a beautiful song and i can't wait to share it with my community!
Well, you don't have "Freedom" in accordance with speech. I WILL attempt to get into this, that's what RUclips is good for. Haha, you ask me to do you a favor and then you insult me, wonderful.
You need to fucking think. It's is someones point of view and opinion. You have no right to call someone's belief horrible. Oh and mind explaining WHY it's "horrible"?
How in the world are ladies this good not more popular.

This song is amazing. It's so simple, though beautiful. This song is so unique and has more meaning than most songs nowadays.
Luv this song. Were singing it in chorus. every1 luvs this song, were all like "Can you play One Voice and we sing along?" LOL
one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
pure, simple, profound, memorable and precious. It needs more people singing it. but more powerful without accompaniment.
I just notice that they recorded this on my Mother's birthday - August 5th.

What gives you the right to judge Illiscia for being atheist?
I second Cynic7321's statements
