Yes, their dancing is intentionally weird. It's hilarious and great at the same time. They have super creative choreography. You should watch their performance of Otona Blue on The First Take.
I happened upon them one day on RUclips and haven't stopped checking them out since; they're f****** insane. And very quirky and cool at the same time
Welcome to the world of AG! 8 years of content (dozens of songs, many TV appearances, a million concerts, huge Tiktok following with tons of zany skits, etc), starting when they were early-teens. Collaborations with some excellent musicians have given them an eclectic catalog of songs. And a couple of years ago they came to the US to create an EP with Money Mark of Beastie Boys fame. Their most recent EP this year brought them back to their original style with Japanese composers they've worked with previously. They are unique and I find their personalities to be infectious. Enjoy!
Great group the more you watch the more you will like them. I usually am totally Metal and hard rock but somehow they drew me in.
Suki Lie is a bit of a pun. It reads as “love lie” but at the start they sing “love hate”. It’s about cheating and romantic betrayal. I think the floating CGI heads refer to some famous Japanese horror anime

AG do all their own choreography and I think they are one of the most original bands working today.
Word play with suki lie to (su)ki rai which means hate
Im a Japanese fun of this group.
Normally, it is described with "suki" and "lie" in lyrics.
But there is a word "Kirai(it pronounced like kilai)" in Japan and that means "hate."
So, as a Japanese, we can feel like they singing "suki su-kirai rai."
