    There have been a LOT of athletic PGs in the history of the NBA. Oscar, Magic, Kevin Johnson, John Starks, Gary Payton, etc. There are a bunch of ultra-athletic PGs playing NOW: D-Rose, John Wall, Lillard, Rondo, the list goes on and on. But for my money, Westbrook is the most athletic point guard in the history of the NBA.

      forrest Yeah because CP3 has never had the MVP of the league on his side, and CP3 should/would be in the 3rd round if not for that BS call in game 5. Westbrook couldn't even take CP3s team to the play offs much less the second round

      yeah but here u only see makes and not his misses wich are much more than durants lol, he is too selfish on the court those rushed 3pts, are all bad shots that he shoulnd take lol, okc is not winning a title if he keeps playing that selfishly

    • @ZuKaBLU
      @ZuKaBLU 10 лет назад

      im not talking abaout agressive drives, because thats what he should always do to score or go to the line, im talking about bad jumpers e rushed 3pt shots with a guy all over him, and always missing, shooting under 45 % the only way the thunder is going to win is if westbrook stop trying to do all the scoring and focus on being a good distribuiting PG because he and KD can score but if he doesnt get everybody involved i dont see then putting up the points they need to maintain a lead when they are on the bench

    Westbrook is the most entertaining player in the NBA. He's definitely a top 3 dunker, a top 10 player, and when his career is over he will be considered one of the best PG's of all time. He played 350+ consecutive games at the end of the 2012-2013 season, and he is very under rated. It's not Russell's fault that he takes a lot of shots, hence the only very strong offensive players in the team is Kevin Durant, Jeremy Lamb, and himself (Jeremy buries it when he's on fire). If the thunder got a decent starting SG or a Sixth Man that's consistent (like Ray Allen in his last two/three seasons) the Thunder would be unstoppable, and Westbrook's FG% would probably go up 4-7 percent because he would take less shots each game. His PPG would go up by about 2-3 making him an even more dominant player. Even his assists would increase by at least .7 a game which would help the criticism lower.

  • @29krazyk

    Proof to the point that Westbrook isn't a point guard. He's a shooting guard, more than anything. He's just a point guard because he wants to be the one controlling the offense so he can get more points and stats.

    The top three point guard in the game right now are Chris Paul, Tony Parker and Russell Westbrook period. Chris
    Paul is a silent assassin, always under control and never in a hurry. He runs his team's offense effortlessly and rarely makes blunders. His vision and passing ability separate him from most of the point guards in the league and he is consistently the only elite PG in the league with an A/T ratio aove 4:1. His impeccable handle and vision make him one of the best pick and roll operators currently in the game. And he can score any time he wants though he chooses not to. Defensively, he is good in the passing lanes but he rarely gets himself caught out of position. He knows when to gamble and when to stay with his man. He is a strong guard but bigger guys can post him up or shoot over him and athletic types can blow by him but his smarts and instincts make him a solid on the ball defender defender when he is playing his man. My biggest issue with Paul is his lack of aggressiveness in some game, which rarely shows up with Westbrook and Parker. And although he can score, he defers too much to his teammates to make a play instead of looking for his shot, even when they are struggling to score.
    Westbrook is the most explosive and athletic guard in the league. With his ability to get into the lane (pick or no pick), and his underrated mid range game, he is one of the best scorers at the position. He has underrated ball handling ability and a knack for finding guys open when he is attracts extra attention on his drives. And he has a knack for throwing crazy dimes to open teammates who cut off the ball and move around. Defensively, he is athletic enough to stay in front of most guards and tall and strong enough to play the post but he does get lost at times watching the ball instead of his man. He is probably the best rebounding point guard in the league right noand that including both offensive and defensive rebounding. My biggest issue about Westbrook is his decision making is erratic at times and he takes too many early shots and commits a ton of" head scratching wtf did he just do " turnovers but he is still great.
    Parker is the hardest guy of the three to evaluate. Because of the system and team he plays on, his stats and advanced stats won't blow you away like Westbrook and Paul. But make no mistake, he is a beast. He is the most consistent scorer of the three and can throw dimes with either hand. In the Spur's system, he runs off multiple screens to score and doesn't just attack in isolation or on the pick and roll like Westbrook and Paul mostly do. His dribbling ability is second only to Paul and he runs the pick and roll to perfection even though Duncan isn't the threat as the big man he once was. Parker has silky smooth mid range game and consistently is at the top of his position in % of points in the paint. Not to mention he has the best floater in the league and maybe even layups as well. Defensively, Parker is not as good as Westbrook and Chris Paul but he does not have to be with Kawhi and Green able to take the opponent's best guard. And that isn't to say he is a bad defender. He moves his feet on defense, doesn't gamble much and typically knows where to be in the spur's system. The only issue I have on Parker is he doesn't play as many minutes as the other guys and doesn't always guard his PG matchup.

    It looks like Westbrook has electricity in his body when he is playing. He's probably the strongest and most explosive PG in the league. But he's not the smartest, if he could only pass a little more to spread the floor, he would certainly be one of the most dangerous players in the league.

  • @hoopinboi
    @hoopinboi 10 лет назад

    In my opinion, Rose and Westbrook are the most DOMINANT Point Guards in the NBA. They've actually beatin up every Point Guard in the Nba expect for themselves. When Rose and Westbrook go head to head, its neither a win or lost cuz of their production and competitiveness on the floor.
    Westbrook might have more rebounds and Rose might have fewer turnovers, but their numbers are always close

      Kyrie Irving may be the most overrated player in the league next to James Harden. Doesn't matter how many points you score when you let up almost as many simply because you don't care about defense.

    I like these videos better when you dont show 3 replays of one play. Showingv the highlight once is enough

    I'd like to see a mix of his missed lay up, bricks and airballs. Hit me up when that mix is made I'll be Bella happy, someone out there with a few game can make this happen.

      Obvious hater is obvious
      Also before you say But it's true!!! AI missed a ton of layups and shots and so has a ton of the other great pgs pretty much you could make that mix of any player

      AI is barley 6 foot tall, I'm sure every player in the world has missed a lay up BUT maybe u just have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm talking going full speed, faster then u can handle looking like a clown, have 0%chance to make it lay up. I'm talking about close your eyes u have no idea where the rim is air balls. I don't want anymore reply to my comments unless it's a mix that I've requested.

      Watch kobe Bryant guarding Westbrook it's about 16 minutes long but you'll get a few chuckles for sure.
