I can't understand why people would go through New York to get there just dues Detroit Michigan has a rich history in music we have always loved are southern Brothers and respected them as such. MC shy d DJ Magic Mike 3.2 who I didn't know passed away. Big Mike who I love so much ex-cons getting funky Geto Boys Devin the Dude one of the greatest lyricist from out the South Scarface Willie D just to name a few are all held in high regards from the north with love. A small piece of History that is missing from the chessboard is the Army. Navy .National Guard. Armed Forces. Marines. Brothers that was born in the North travel to the South for training and learning their trade. Brought back a rich Southern rap history during the Reagan Era. Tapes traded and sold on military bases made their way North in backpacks and overnight bags and suitcases. When my cousin came home from the Marine Corps he had the whole world in his bag and the sounds of different places on tape The South was very strong the message was not just New York. Please tell my story for me much love from Detroit Michigan your most humble servant Mr Harrison great interview. I still believe that Biggie Smalls should have dropped his verse against Tupac he would still be living because he would have known better to stay the hell out of California. The beef between Suge Knight and Puff Daddy was already cooked before it got to 2 Tupac and big.
TRUTH! I know when I was in the army I had my bag full of the music from the region I enlisted in(the South) but was born in the North
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you it's people out here that don't know the story it has to be pass down to the Next Generation I did not serve in the armed forces but I have family members that did and a lot of music that came from the south came off of those off those bases.
