Best dog ive ever owned....acted more like my grandmother than a dog... And I'm serious....even around my kids ...daughter was born and she left my side to stick litteraly to hers and watch over her nomatter where she goes... My Kena girl is not only our heart she is a clown, she is a protector, nurturer and our Family member...

@@AlexTematShe..and yes . I have owned many dogs ,American bulldog, American pitbull, Rottweiler, and hounds, I will say the staffy is the in my opinion the Toughest dog I have ever witnessed as of yet, except for one , but yes she was the most loving dog, a nurturer a best friend, a guardian and patroller when needed and fearless, it's like a switch ,if in a a loving environment and suddenly it is disrupted by violence or attack ,they are the FIRST to respond to the threat and will handle it. They must have exercise you need to socialize as puppies as well, they are very dominate but establish the leader and you will have a AMAZING Best friend and protector of you and your family . Sadly my Kena girl passed away 2 yrs ago and I was utterly heartbroken as was my daughter, I know own a doggo argentino and she to is a excellent dog but she will never be our Kena girl. I Highly recommend the sataffie..

@@AlexTematI'll tell you this.. I had 13 yrs, we were so close we knew what the other were thinking and I'm not joking when I say this.. She also saved my life when I had a heart attack out of nowhere. She kept me alive while I was trying to get to a hospital Everytime id start or would pass out she would bump and nip me to keep me focused on the wheel as I would veer off . I can only say this there's to much to tell of the bond we had it was supernatural and the only hardship you endure is the overwhelming and long lasting sadness of when they leave you and this earth. I still after 2 yrs cry from thinking of her.. And I'm not that guy who is a crier I am one of the rugged men you see and think whoa that guy was raised in a rough world... and I was..

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my 7 year old Ridgeback to cancer 6 weeks ago. My kids and wife were ready to adopt so they rescued two Staffy puppies, brother and sister. I told them I wasn't going to be involved in raising them. I just couldn't give my heart to another dog that soon. These two have me wrapped around their paws. When you see them first thing in the morning, you can't keep their tails from dancing . I'm writing this comment at 3:21 AM because the little ones are being house trained. I'm the one sleeping on the couch while the kids sleep in their comfy beds to make sure there are no accidents. So far, so good. I'm exhausted, but in a good way. I feel your pain and know that there is someone out here who completely understands. I'm a 49 year old guy who spent 4 weeks lost without my best friend. In the last 24 years, we have only had 2 months without a pet in our home. Those two months were very quiet and unfamiliar. Thoughts and prayers

Staffordshire bull terriers definitely need to be watched around other dogs. I used to have a male who only weighed 40 pounds and he actually killed a coyote that got in our yard and attacked him while we were at the grocery store. He still had it by the throat when we got home. We never had a coyote come that close to our property before that day that we knew of. He also injured a German shepherd pretty badly as well that was running loose and came on to our property. The German shepherd survived but was a bloody mess. He was okay with our cats and our female pitbull. Staffordshire bull terriers are actually the original ancestor to the American pitbull terrier. He passed away a few years ago at age 18 years old.

I live opposite a huge woodland, and can take the dog for a run when it's not hot, and the dog loves it. Mine is a blue, be aware blue staffys come with some skin conditions, usually. Staffordshire Bull terriers are THE finest breed of all. Once you have been owned by a Staffy, no other breed will suffice. Highly intelligent, intuitive, high level of emotional intelligence, quick to learn, adore their owners, utterly fearless and courageous. Athletic, agile and immensely strong. When I was 24, my Staffy, Ben, could physically drag me along the floor. I would hold his favourite toy, a rubber ring, and he would pull me in a series of shunts along the floor. I was 13 stone at the time, he weighed 40 lb. Just consider the power to weight ratio!

There is a lot of confusion with American staffies and pitbulls but the English staff is a separate breed and not banned. If you get a pedigree ENGLISH Staff from a reputable breeder, you will get a dog that has been bred from almost 200 years for NOT fighting but for being gentle and good with people. Dog fighting was made illegal in the 1830s in England, so ever since staffies have been bred for gentleness and sociability. English staffies are much smaller than American staffs or pitbulls, and are one of only two breeds recommended for households with children. They are in fact super common in the UK, Ireland and Australia, while the pitbull is a banned breed.

Also, it is a must that the family is sitt with them.

He's been bullied by many bigger dogs! He was bullied once by two Japanese Aikita's and the chavey owner was laughing at me! I told him atleast 5 times to call his bully Aikitas back but he just laughed at me! Let's just say I was gobsmacked what happened next! The owner was almost crying at me begging to call my bullied dog back! Ignorant cnuts he soon changed his tune! English Staffordshire Bull terriers are the best breeds in the world but if you bully them! Well you will see the consequences! Trust me! My 5 year old English Blue Valglo Staff protects my 10 nieces and nephews all under 10 years of age! They all Idealise him even when they terrorise him and when he's had enough he just runs away and hides or comes to me basically telling me he's had enough! No other breeds comes close to this

they were created as fighting dogs and at the time it wasnt a criminal organization so the dogs often didn't receive serious injury from fights gone too far. unfortunately thats not the case anymore. these doggo warriors are often fought to the point of serious injuries or death and its the same concept as prohibition. make the sport legal again. give the dog pads for vital spots and let them do it the old way. i mean if its gonna happen either way then it might as well be the way that is less damaging on the pups. take it from street fights to a boxing ring so to speak.
