    Hey buddy, love watching the videos of you and J! Knowing that you're heading out soon on holidays, I have an incrediblely selfish ask: motor over, anchor, and shoot a panorama at that side of Snake Island we spent so much time at, oh, what, 45, 46, 47 years ago, on Island Hopper? So many memories of those days with our families.

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  2 года назад

      Hi Ken! Would love to help you out, but we are already well into our holiday cruise, heading down towards Lake Ontario way.
      Even though we won't be in the area of Fox Island any time soon, I can share a video I posted a couple years ago when we returned there with our kids in search of buried treasure 😉 Here's the link; ruclips.net/video/HS_-fvVr_AE/видео.html
      Apart from that, the closest I've come to Fox Island recently is when I moved the current Boogaboo from Cooks Bay (and then back again), early in this season fir the new canvas work. If you check out those videos (posted within the last couple of months), you're bound to at least catch a glimpse of that beautiful spot, as well as my reminiscing about the good old days when we were all so much younger. . .
      If you do get a chance to watch any of those videos, I'd love to see your comments 🙂

    Even if the scenery and routines are the same, you always throw in some interesting new tidbits (such as the comment about the duck bill valves, which caused me to make a note to order some replacements for ours to have on hand just in case). Question: You keep docklines affixed to bow rail, and they stay on even at speed; are they attached with a physical locking device (such as a fender strap) or just a well-secured hitch around the rail?

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  2 года назад +1

      As I believe I've mentioned many, many, many times, I like to keep everything as simple as possible. I'm continuously blown away by how many folks insist that doing things 'properly' has to involve extra steps, equipment and expense.
      We just throw them over and pull back through tightly. Easy Peezy.

    Nice, as usual. I think most still like to see wherever you go - even if we have seen it before too.
    With the new boat, do you feel any difference in the tracking at low speed? Also, with the increase in the length of the boat, do you feel any appreciable difference in the hull speed before throwing any wake?

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  2 года назад +2

      Yes, with the extra weight on the 370, the added heft definitely gives even more control at all speeds. Most appreciated when coming into and out of the locks.
      And she also throws less wake both on plane, as well as low speeds. I think that has a lot to do with the extra length and beam.
      All in all, a real pleasure to drive - even with some wind. Very happy with this boat 👍👍👍👍
