- Winston Peters, leader of New Zealand First, spoke to Sean Plunket on The Platform NZ about the recent political events in New Zealand. Peters stated that he was not surprised by the resignation of Jacinda Ardern and believed that declining support for the Labour Party and the abandonment of core worker issues were factors in her decision. Peters also reiterated his distrust of the Labour Party due to the secret commissioning of three Waters and stated that he would not do a deal with them. He teased the possibility of an earlier election due to developing circumstances, but did not reveal any specifics.

It wasn't until Ardern's second term (without Peters to reign her in) that things began veering hard-Left. I seem to recall voters put Nats and Labour in a relatively even footing in the votes and peters had to choose which to side with, Since Nats had previously snubbed peters, they kinda sealed their own fate back in 2017.
Martin, this guy sided with the US, UK and France after a briefing with them where they must have shown their evidence for a chemical weapons attack in Douma, Syria. This has been disputed by 4 OPCW whistleblowers, witnesses/victims at the hague and by most peoples own eyes from the images they showed, that it was all fake.

I do not trust ANY politician. I treat them all as either known villains or potential villians.

So its not a question of why one should trust any of them (Peters included) its a case of: Which do you think has puts own country's best interests first and will do a good job.

I'm sure Chris Luxon will do OK but he doesn't exactly inspire me as a charismatic leader as yet.
Seymour has some insightful and intelligent things to say but he can't make his mind up whether he's a Right-winger or far-Left Liberal. He swings between the two without finding a centre and switches loyalties faster than he changes his undies.
Peters could be accused of similar tactics to a degree, but he IS far more centred and has mellowed with age and experience.

While it seems to me, more and more are waking up these last few decades, realising they've been living in a fake world, and begin to proactively do something about, it saddens me that still the majority remain spellbound...
...though, as wiser people have pointed out over the years, each small change has a snowball affect on the rest of the environment, so I'm encouraged that more are waking up, thus slowly, the majority entrapped in the matrix continues to reduce...but is it enough to see, in our lifelimes, a full transformation of socities that many of us are working towards.
One can only continue to fight the good fight, we may not see the fruition of just and fair societies ( in one's lifetime), but I think it important to sew seeds, otherwise the harvest will never occur, regardless of how dark reality becomes.
I have long believed that we need people like Winston, see no reason to change my mind.
But the problem is, people are still thinking there are only two choices (that will be propped up by "smaller" parties). Do your research, choose a party you actually believe in, you don't only have two choices!!
