Had such a crush on Delta when i was young. Started playing the piano because of her. Now i am making a living from it. Nothing but good memories when i hear her older pieces.
Wow it's so so cool Delta's the reason you started playing! I can't believe I found you comment here that's so awesome! I hope you and Delta get more recognition for your amazing talents!! I love your work!
I have been living in Australia, and miss Delta is the best looking gorgeous lady, if I was young , Definitely I would send her bunch Of ROSES, that would be every weekend
I wonder why it didn't get a US release? This track, and the album it was taken from, "Innocent Eyes", sold well in Australia, UK and other countries. It is a great song and still one of my Delta favourites, but I think "Born To Try" is my favourite.
many female singers are glorified pole dancers but a few don't need to resort to that to sell their music, even without looking at her beautiful face this music is wonderful
We get it, y'all wanna look smart in front of random people so you show us you can Google a release date, but no one cares... Just enjoy the damn music, I was referring to the upload date anyway, a simple freaking observation would have lead you to that conclusion...
As a Latino that lives in the US, I have to say that Australia has so many talented singers and it makes me sad and angry that they are SO UNDERRATED here in the US and for those who had success, it took them years to experience some success here in the US. For example Kylie Minogue, she didn't make it big in the US until Can’t Get You Out Of My Head was released and became a huge hit in the US.
Kylie had some hits in the late 80’s in the US before Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, such as The Locomotion and I Should Be So Lucky. However, I see what you mean. ❤
“No accounting for taste” might be the thing to explain what u said, Americans don’t buy this type I suppose.😢 If they were born in the USA, things might be different. A singer born in: US>>UK=Canada>Ireland>=Australia>New Zealand, in most cases. I’m only mentioning developed ‘western’ English-speaking countries, no offense or other countries where English is spoken.😊
I didn't come here because of"Zoella",I came here because I wanted to...I come from an era where songs were actually great...Delta is a very talented beautiful actress/singer:)
Delta Goodrem, the sound track of my life, she represents wholesome family values, and no one dare say a cross word at her, she is held in such high esteem!
the video shows the typical youth life back in late 90s ealry 2000"s ... full of life joy realy friends and feelings ... not like today's life full of stress and technology ... I hate going out with friends everyone is staring and his her mobile ... delta I adore ur songs and ur amazing beauty
And here I am in 2020 with no way of communicating with 95% of my friends without my phone... I wish I could just talk to them irl but we have to keep to the rules to protect everyone and keep the NHS able to help the people who need it so I can pretty much only meet up social distanced with one person who lives near me as of now.

So proud of Delta. My niece is her best friend. They lived in Delta’s house in LA and now they’re back here in OZ. My niece had her own TV Show there. Interviewing actors and musicians and all about music and movies
I still remember watching this song on MTV late nights in 2003. At that time, there was no RUclips or internet, and where I live in India, we didn't have any source to catch up on International Music or Billboard charts other than the only MTV Channel, which only broadcast international songs late at night. Those memories were golden, and listening to this song again feels so nostalgic. Now we have everything, but the Billboard is full of crap artists. The 2000s were the era of powerful pop ballads ❤️.

@@LindokuhleNene-d8fI was just thinking the same thing and even Lotus Fm and jacaranda they used to dedicate songs now people barely listen to radio late at night 😭😢. Golden ages are no more
Never heard of this singer although she has apparently been in the music scene for around 17 years. Then I understood why - she is an Australian artist. They get way less international exposure than U.S musicians. Amazing how accents seem to melt away when singing. Just illustrates how music is the international language and common denominator of humanity.
Honest Bloke she's not 'masking her accent' her voice just glides when she sings. she's a real artist that can actually sing and play an instrument, so i guess thats why.
Delta is still recording music, a very talented woman. For other Australian female singers listen to Natalie Imbruglia, Vanessa Amorossi, Tina Arena,..many many more.
@@punkgirl687 It doesn't take away from the fact that she is an amazing musician - and one of the very best. It's always been difficult for the Australian musical world to get international success. I vividly remember an ARIA awards night in the midst of her cancer battle, and she was in the audience and Darren Hayes, former Savage Garden member sang this song so beautifully. Very emotional night. She sure is a huge talent.
When this song was originally released, I was like 'yeah not bad'. Then Darren Hayes did the acapella version at the ARIA's not long after and I realised how special of a track it really was.
this song can also be interpreted as a broken love song, so it could be about anything, that's what I love about this song is that it can be taken as a love song about romance, or a bond of friendship, or even about losing a family member, it really just depends on how you interpret it, it's an ambiguous song.
@@iamlinda100 That is a good point. I often get it popping up randomly in my head thinking it is a extremely popular romantic song and get surprised when I realise it is this one. True story.
I heard this song as a young child, before the times of RUclips. Whenever it came on the radio or on TV I would sit and listen so intently, completely moved by the emotion of it. I didn't have any way of looking it up or even remembering the name, and of course, it eventually stopped being played in public. What a lovely story!! It reinforces comments by other Delta fans who fell in love with her music as children. I know I can be a little stubborn sometimes
You might say a little righteous and too proud
I just want to find a way to compromise
Cos I believe that we can work things out
I thought I had all the answers
Never giving in
But baby since you've gone
I admit that I was wrong
All I know is I'm lost without you
I'm not gonna lie
How am I gonna be strong without you
I need you by my side
If we ever said we'll never be together
and we ended with goodbye
Don't know what I'd do
I'm lost without you
I keep trying to find my way
but all I know
is I'm lost without you
I keep trying to face the day
Lost without you
How am I ever gonna get rid of these blues?
Baby I'm so lonely all the time
Everywhere I go I get so confused
You're the only thing that's on my mind
Oh my bed so cold at night
And I miss you more each day
Only you can make it right
No I'm not too proud to say
All I know is I'm lost without you
I'm not gonna lie
How am I gonna be strong without you
I need you by my side
If we ever said we'll never be together
and we ended with goodbye
