you should totally do a vikings history game show putting Eric eager up against Manny Hill, I know it's now tough to get Eric on the show but this would be absolute gold

Best part about JJ is his ceiling and that they won't see it coming. His ceiling on his legs is about 80% of a peaked Lamar Jackson, his ceiling with arm strength as well as adaptability is equal to Josh Allen, and football iq coild be up there with Peyton Manning. He can be a risk taker, and in an unsupportive environment, a couple of early picks could potentially cost him a season. I would define his floor in that way, not being given room to grow through mistakes with risk taking.

100% agree with you about QB success. There seems to be a general media and fan movement to excuse poor QB play as a product of coaching or environment. Elite and great QBs transcend all of that. Even good QBs have a starter level floor.
If Spielman had drafted Mahomes, everyone would be talking about what a surprising offensive mind, future HOF and current head coach, Mike Zimmer has.
I would say that the coaching and environment can impact the QB by about 10% positively or negatively. So, a journeyman backup like Darnold might become a mediocre starter under KOC but he isn’t ever going to be the next Mahomes. Most of the guys that fail simply weren’t good enough. No reason to make excuses or rewrite history. Just move on.

Sam Darnold had a bad team and Bo WRs. Jamis Winston did have a team so you're wrong.

Wow if the vikings are adjusting their offense for McHandoff they better ramp up their running game. We averaged 38 pass attempts per game ladt year. McCarthy averaged 12 attempts. Huge difference throwing in the NFL and its way harder than in college. I don't see KOC changing his pass scheme at all. Just because we get 30 year old Aaron Jones he could fall off the cliff like Cook did. He is probably on his way down. We would also need a left guard for sure. KOC isn't running like Michigan did anytime soon. McCarthy needs to adjust to our play or he just isn't the guy and then he just becomes a guy.

Vikes should have hired you. Would be good to have someone with the prescience of Jesus Christ on staff.
