For those who’ve struggled with depression. This song really hits home.
This has always been my favorite song it’s always made me cry... I always love watching people reacting to it.
I feel like the angel with the black wings is the girls subconscious mind fighting to free her from all the pain... Its symbolic of someone who is fighting to come to terms with their trauma and breaking free. The man is symbol of trauma and the angel is symbol of her fighting back on the inside. As a survivor of child S/A this is a very powerful song and im happy you reacted to this video... I read somewhere he also made this song for his wife who was abused by a family member of hers and suffers alot of trauma from it.
The man the striped sweater molested her. That's why in her mind the restraints changed to his hands. It's why his hands were painted black and his handprints were all over the little girl and her room. I think the angel with black wings is symbolic, that he is a therapist or counselor who is teaching her how to overcome the trauma that caused her depression. I might be wrong and just seeing my childhood and what I have gone through to reach where I am now.
I think the same, but I am also a child abuse survivour. Maybe we understand the symbolism more
@@IPurpleBTS81 I understood it and I haven't went through any abuse. Some people focus too hard on the music to properly understand it. If it was silent, I can guarantee most would understand it.

i still struggle with depression and when someone says itll be okay its like they dont want to know or care to know and it is like a slap to the face, like a fuck you, and it hurts and they dont realize it. ive struggled with it for years and to be able to hear it in music helps to ease the pain. its why i love three days grace and this song really hits home. take care yall.

I used to deal with depression in my life and was very anxious and stuff, been to hospital for it.
Luckily i healed from it , used to have black angel dream once in my life, actually it was nightmare not a dream.
It's the Angel Of Death protecting her from the other man molesting her. Alot of people think the Angel Of Death is bad but it's really not, it protects from evil. I forget exactly what is said but its actually Biblical what is said about it.

You got it right. The dark angel represents death coming for her and it's meant to represent her father trying to fight for her to live and win his daughters battle with depression.
