They also make the same machine with 2.5 to 3.5 stroke so if you had both with 2 batteries your are set for anything. Good alternative to the bishop wand system if on a budget

Great review! I watched this to order mine but I was wondering if your batteries had the automatic turn off when it’s at a certain angle. Is this a safety feature? Just wondering if they are supposed to be like this. Thanks!
Hi ... Thinking about buying that machine , can you tell me please if it's possible to work with a short length of needle ( riding the tube ) ? on other videos i saw that the adjustment of the grip seems to be short
Hi I don't see any problem with riding the tube if that's how you prefer to tattoo as the machine has plenty of adjustment for needle hang 👍👍👍

You are welcome and glad the review helped you...... I dont think you can charge and use the machine at the same time but if you have a power supply you can use with rca cord while battery is charging 👍👍

Whats up Sir, so I have a question I just bought this pen and will only use it for shadding because I use coils machines usually and will continue to line with a coil machine. Question is which of the 3 strokes should I use for packing black, color and light shading thanks. Pen came with Stroke 4.0-4.5-5.0mm
Hi there hope you like the machine as much as I do I would start with the 4mm cam as that's a good all rounder just remember to lighten pressure on skin for light shading .......me personally prefer 4.5mm cam and can achieve desired results with this cam using a combination of lighter pressure and less needle throw ........I also have another video of the torped after 1 year of continuous use in the studio 👍👍👍

Solid machine. Vibrates a bit much with the 5mm cam tho. I actually bought 3 of them and fitted each with a different cam. Kind of a poor man's shader, packer, liner set up lol.
Yep check the plunger from front to back for straight and plumb also put some lubricant on end of plunger before refitting.... Another thing to look for is the plunger the correct length as i had 2 that were shorter 👍👍👍
I used some metal, attached to the flywheel to balance the weight. It works, the machine no longer vibrates

I've heared it vibrates a lot. Is that true? I'm looking for a cheap but good liner, is this the one for me?
hi there mine is fine with 4.5mm cam fitted 5mm can be harsh but 4.5mm is sweet in this machine just remember to check plunger bar for true and also lubricate end of plunger as they are shipped dry ......once lubricated total game changer then with use the machine just gets better i use mine every day in the studio and am now 18mths into owning and this machine is still if not better than when i first got it 👍👍

Update… just got in some work on practice skin to try out the machine… with the 4.5 it is an absolute beast. Only about an hour on it so far but considering you can literally pay for this machine with one piece, I am super happy with it.

I am not sure as i make my own grips for the torped as i like a really fat grip to my machines 👍👍

@@bdee1084 i dont all i know that the bonus with this machine is it is a brushless motor so thats a big bonus in my eyes no brushes to wear out 👍
Is the balance of the machine with an additional battery good?
The balance I spot on ..... machine is so small anyway that with the battery it's still a very compact machine 👍👍
Is this better than the dragonhawk fold pro?
Far superior pal i had a fold pro and sold it after 2 months as it was a soft hitting machine the torped works and punches ink in with ease i am still using mine everyday in the studio and working percect 9mth later and would deffo buy another if anything happened to it 👍👍👍

@@alejandrofernandez-cr6dm I push 14rs no probs with mine usually around 7.5 to 8v ......a good skin stretch and steady movement works every time for me along with applying enough pressure to get needles to penetrate skin .......but in my experience 4.5mm stroke you don't need too much as it does it for you 👍👍👍

Yes pushes large needle no probs i often use standard 11rl and 14rs without and problems and i have the 4.5mm cam fitted 👍👍

I think the 4.5mm cam is the sweet spot for a good all rounder after using the 5mm for some time, nice review Andy

Is for real? The needle depth of this machine is 4.5mm to 5mm?
@@Odium13 not the depth of the needle. That can be adjusted to whatever you want it to be. 5he 4mm, 4.5mm, and 5mm cams are the stroke of the machine. From the top of the stroke to the bottom, the larger the number, the harder the hit.
Cambie de 4.5 mm a 5mm y me he quedado ahí en los 5mm y utilizo todo numero de agujas con ese recorrido

I have noticed, on low volt i.e 5.5v the vibration is a little hard that made my pinky at my tattoo hand, a bit numb after a while. Have anyone noticed anything similar?
I cant say i have...... But i also tweeked my plunger when i got the machine for what seemed best smooth running...... I do also have foam padded grips which may help 👍👍👍
What kind and brand of motor does it have?
To be honest i dont know the brand of motor although i do know its a brushless motor not a core m motor which is good 👍👍👍

Did you have to adjust the length of the plunger at all on the 4.5 or 5.0mm cams? I have to adjust the grip all the way out and still getting too much needle hang.
i had same problem pal what had happened is ambition had sent wrong accessory pack so i contacted them and and showed them its was too short so they sent correct ones to me pal

Hello how are you ? Query... if you can make lines, shadows and color with the 4.5 mm stroke... with the 5mm stroke you can make solid color and lines? I have a 3.5mm stroke pen and it's too soft, I like it for shadows, but I'd like to try something for lines and solid color
This machine isn't even in the same stadium as the bishop liner 😂😂 so tired of hearing that on all the other reviews of this machine.its a beginner machine to see if u want a longer stroke.i would use a xnet/ambition/hello over a pos machine like cnc/stigma/hawink/solong....but when u get to a professional level if you use a machine like this or mast your clients will frown....especially if they know anything about machines.....I went threw 3 of these before I said forget these budget machies and found my og wand bishop liner and packer...yes I had two shaders but sold them and kept usen my broncs....I love bishop and I love bronc...both absolutely phenomenal

Yo, you do realize this is an Ambition machine, right, a brand you just threw praise on in your comment? 😂 Not everybody has $2,500 bishop money to spend to get all three shaders. If you wanna have something that’s damn close to a bishop without the bullshit price, get this with 5 cams of the proper size from this same brand from 3.0-5.0, find the motor specs for this and then go buy that same spec’d motor from Faulhaber, and you’ll have damn near the same thing (if you can find brass cam rods of equal dimension - which I’m damn near positive you can if you looked around a bit - or even have some brass clones of these made if you have access to a cnc machine - this could be arguably every bit as good if not better than a bishop setup. I’m confident saying you could have 90-100%+ the utility of the bishop machines at 10-15% the cost, all in a single machine, one with even more versatility given it’s one machine with interchangeable cams - for those that may want a full range of hits for shading and gray wash capabilities etc. That setup could be made for around less than $200, battery included (you can get this machine from Amazon for $70 rn). You’re welcome loc
