Beautiful modifications. I'm interested in the Acewell instrument binnacle. Does this model Bonnie come standard with electronic speedo and if not how is the conversion performed, an electronic sender on the wheel hub? I have an '96 T'Bird with cable speedo but electronic tach.
Chris Heggie thank. The Bonneville has a mechanical speedo. The cable is replaced by a sensor and there are parameters to identify in the setting of the speedo ... the size of the wheel and the number of turns of the sensor per wheel revolution. Different sensors or cables are available for the same dial depending on the bike model ... just check with yours.
Looks nice. My 2005 is all stock cept no air box and bar end mirrors round. But like that look too. I really would like to get new headlight brackets and turn sigs, led. But that's about as much as I want to do. I do have side slashed slip-ons, that sound awsome, on it. But I kinda like having some factory look. Do you have the seat cowl to match your tank. Saw u have the bolt holes for it. I have one. Does give more the cafe look. Looks great though.
Bloody love that instrument . If your model is carbed does it run off the speedo cable on the front wheel . How easy was the wiring for the rest of the instrument . Does it come with full instructions ? And finally did you have to fab a bracket to mount it to ? Fabulous job though and a great looking bike well done
Thank you for the comment. Indeed it is with carburettor and the speedo works with a cable to the front wheel. There are enough instructions for the task to be quite simple ... it's a nice little job. For the speedo bracket it is quite simple ... I recovered the original one that I cut and reversed to have the right angle when sitting on the bike. At first, I had a straight bracket, but the angle was not good ... there are also photos on the net with this angle, only the speedo is not parallel with your face but more leaning forward and reading is difficult. The back of the bracket is brushed aluminum ... so it gives a nice finish a bit like the handlebar bracket.
Louis Ringuette Where does the power feed for the instrument come from . What source did you use ? Did you use the old output to the rev counter . Or use a wire with a output from the coil ?
The same power supply as the old system but the coil for the rpm ... not the original wire because it does not work. But it is well detailed with the kit.
Yes, a lot of information compared with the original one ... hour, oil temperature, ratio engaged, two kilometers contabilisers, seven screen colors, outdoors temperature ...

Hey, Louis!
Have a question: Where did you get all the brass/gold fittings for your bike? The brass/gold bolts 'n' stuff. Thanks!
It's in England, PB Probolt

If they looked that good from the factory I would buy one in a sec.
Thanks, me too because i dont have the bike today

I know this is an old video but the bike looks absolutely stunning, what are the exhausts please ?
