LOL oh MAN I remember "The Dry Look" like it was yesterday! My brother used that stuff so much, it made his hair start to fall out! Good Grief "oriental houseboy" - imagine trying that today on television - YIKES!!
@FredFlix I read you loud and clear, unfortunately. Sure is a MESS there these days. I'm from Bodymore, Murderland (Baltimore) and it seems worse than ever. Your presentations are a BREATH OF FRESH AIR of flashbacks of better days! 😁
Brian's Keith had a zany Asian houseboy?! I'm pretty sure the butthurt brigade wouldn't let that fly these days. Great weekend flashback Fred, thanks 👍👍👍
@@peternighswander9629 Thanks, it's nice to know one of the oldest amusement parks is still open. I've lived in Texas most my life & have never traveled to that area of the US.
I guarantee I was in front of the TV the night the Charlie Brown and Riki-tiki-tavi showed. Great stuff! I just cannot see Superman with the "dry" look. I loved the White Shadow! Tried to never miss it. Another fine look at what was. Thanks Fred.
Sea Lab 2020 came out in 72 after watching a few episodes my best friend and I made up this game where we would turn his bathroom sink water wide open and use towels trying to stop it, simulating an emergency repair of a leak in the underwater lab and of course water went everywhere, his mother did not appreciate our game.
Hi Fred as usual great nostalgia. The superhero Dry Look ad is hilarious. Fact:Did you know that that special John Ritter is advertising Who Are the DeBolts when on to win the Oscar as Best Documentary feature? Also, love the Roy Rogers hat. Could you imagine such a thing today? And many of the Whirlybirds episodes were directed by Robert Altman. Again, thanks for bittersweet memories. Scott
Nice job, Fred. 0:13 - "Next, in cullah". I guess Liz sometimes had a New England or NYC accent. This must be in the later years, after the neat integrated Chevy & Quaker Oats ads from the B&W seasons. 2:13 - I don't remember this game having any absolute clunks. Even the bad choices led to some kind of small prize at least. 6:23 - This special Wednesday night broadcast was on Feb. 14, 1979. A new episode, "Rally 'Round the Flagg, Boys", the last featuring Col. Flagg, was aired on a special night since CBS preempted the show Mon., Feb. 12, to show Part 2 of "Gone with the Wind". 6:53 - A clip from the fore-mentioned episode. My parents & some neighbors got to be in the audience for the taping of "Dolly & Carol in Nashville" at the Grand Ole Opry House. My mom even took a couple pics of the show from her seat, back when that was allowed. 7:57 - I recognize Dick O'Neill in that clip. He appeared on MASH 3 times as high-ranking Navy, Army & Marine officers. 11:05 - This is the first time I've seen Stanley Fafara outside his recurring role as Beaver's friend, Whitey, on LitB. He was Beaver's only friend who appeared in all 6 seasons of the show.
@@FredFlix Yes, he was able to be sober in his last years but unfortunately caught Hepatitis from a heroin needle and died at just 53 or 54 (I've read both.)
Two of the finest shows ever on TV: * The Bob Newhart Show * The White Shadow My dad's favorite: * All in the Family, especially the episode with Sammy Davis, Jr. My mom's favorite: * Dallas but only with Barbara Bel Geddes as Miss Ellie, NOT Donna Reed

Ahh Kennywood!!! That was a wonderful surprise to see the old ad, thank you Fred!!!!
My pleasure, Bridget.
Another treasure trove of great memories from a way different time. Thanks, Mr. Fred. Please keep ‘em coming!
You're aboard a non-stop time machine, Dave.
I used to live 10 minutes from Kennywood. Always went for the school picnic every year. Thank you for putting a smile on my face today, Fred.
Sure thing, NT.
Question: where was (is) Kennywood located? I'm from New England and haven't come across that place before.
Kennywood is one of America’s oldest amusement parks, and is located in Pittsburgh, PA.
So Freds Time Machine came through the Burg and he didn't stop and pick any of us up. shame, shame, shame Freddie............
@@jimamato456Thank you sir!
Thanks Fred!
That's when programs back then were good. Thank for your clips Fred
You're welcome, Debbie.
FIRST to comment and say Thanks Always for the fond memories!

You're not missing anything in the States, Nick.

Thank you Fred I had forgotten about the Charlie Brown motocross special! LoL! This was a good one.....as always!😊
Glad you enjoyed it, Chantelle.
Lol that Kennywood Rotor (Spindletop at Six Flags over Texas!), was spinning too slow, even with the film sped up to 2X!
An animated ad for Coca-Cola. Quite a treat. Thanks, FredFlix. 😁
You're welcome, Luis.

Great weekend flashback Fred, thanks 👍👍👍
You're welcome, Robert.
Wrong clip. John Forsythe's show Bachelor Father had the Asian houseboy. The Brian Keith show mentioned here was Archer, a cop show.
@ernestcruz6316
Oh well, short term memory lapses aside, I stick by the premise of my comment.
You will be happy to know Kennywood is still operating. Some things endure
That's good to hear.
Never heard of Kennywood. Where was it located?

Very nice. I really miss the 60s.
Thanks Fred 👍
At 2:41 I still like better the theme song from 1973. 🎵🎶🎵

OMG I remember "the dry look"
Love it, Fred. One of my very earliest memories of seeing anything on TV is Whirlybirds.
Never realized Roy Rogers outfit was so "flamboyant."

Every once in a while, Elizabeth Montgomery's southern belle accent would slip out like when she said "color". :)
How much would you think one of those Roy Rodgers hat's would be worth today in mint condition ?
