I remember that Flying Saucer restaurant from the 70's when we took our family vacation to visit relatives who lived near Welland. Hwy 20 used to be so "out in the country" back then. Further back the way you started from there were some campgrounds we used to frequent back then, and when I tried looking for them on Google Maps a few years ago I couldn't find them since they were was much further east in Niagara Falls development that has enveloped them. They're still there, though.

Johnny, my most FAVOURITE peaceful, relaxing & SCENIC drives to Niagara Falls would start on the Lakeshore at Yonge St. I would AVOID the highway and follow the LAKE all the way through Mimico, Port Credit, Oakville, except I scooted over & took the Burlington Skyway to bypass Hamilton of course. Then back on the MILK RUN to Stoney Creek, Fruitand, Grimsby, St Catherines, to Niagara -on-Lake ....and finally Niagara Falls. ON the return trip it was HIGHWAY all the way. 😎Johnny you should try it....it’s like being in a Car RALLY.
Johnny, a very quiet ride, with little to no road noise. There’s nothing like a good sleep in a car, of course while someone else is doing the driving.

I enjoyed this. Would love to see you do an Autobahn drive next time you are in Europe (as you have the right driving etiquette). Hit some of those unrestricted parts late at night or early morning.
I used to drive on the DVP leaving my 4 ways flash on back in the 90 in the middle lane . Johnny.
It's up to the driver thought, maybe it's safer to drive like that.
My situation at that time was, My 92 Honda civic engine may shut down while driving.
So that 4ways flash warning. DONT COME NEAR ME , IT'S DANGEROUS 🤣 Keep out!

Now I am inspired to take a road trip. Finally got a car back in Sept and comfortable with highways now. And there are good apps like waze. Just needed ideas and an hour to an hour and a half isnt crazy. Of course it all depends on the stupid construction and traffic.
I live here in NF and recognized where you were as soon as I saw the first frame. I missed your livestream, but glad to see you weren't going to read the chat while driving! Johnny, you DO know that you should have turned left on to Lundys Lane (which isn't always easy) and then just turn right on Dorchester which leads you down to the 420. I assume you were going by your GPS??? Since you said you were tired , I thought you'd want the most direct route back to TO.
Drivers follow each others too close that's why accident doesn't happened in a vacuum. Where there is smokes, there is fires
Caught the tail end of this video as you were heading up Yonge St. Wanted to see my old neighborhood (Yonge/Davisville/Eglinton) and see the status of the corner of Y&E since I had not been up there since Feb 2020 at the Duke of Kent. Wow. What a joke. Still a mess. Maybe worse. I feel for a lot of the vendors who are cut off from their customers. What happened to this city? I see overdevelopment everywhere.

one thing i got to say be nice if the leafs could win the stanley cup---this year damn-------1967 was the last year they won--56 years and counting--omg-iam 71 so i remember the 1967 stanley cup parade down younge street
