- One of the top excuses for poor prospecting or reluctance that poor salesmen use is the quality of the data. They blame it as out of date or wrong. It's not their fault, it's the datas. Get me good data and I'll call, promise.
Yeah, right!
In these series of videos I prospect on data that is 5 years old.
Watch me cope with the data, make a 49 dials in 90 minutes and have 6 conversations at Director level.
Never blame the data. Look in the mirror if you want to see the real problem!
I'm not even in sales, and I watched it for half an hour.
"The leads aren't weak, YOU'RE WEAK" - Glengarry Glen Ross
I'M SO WEAK!!
Is this a personal call? 😂😂 - I wasn't expecting that, nor encountered that one before. But what's incredibly fascinating about that response is, he thought it WAS a personal call. Which means the opening was positioned incredibly well. Love the video!
Respect for sharing actual real calls. Sales is often glorified, but the reality is for those trying to make a name for themselves, they have to grind through like this. The hours, days and weeks add up and eventually, you have a ton of leads, new clients and a good understanding of the area.
Today im going to be going through 5 year old data *FBI kicks front door in*
Watching this with a sliver of info on TA you can really see when people are coming at you from the parent role. Almost attacking. Great watching you stay adult throughout. Also the stokes they give themselves. Fascinating.
I just really love this! Watching you make all my fears goes away and Learnt so much!🙏
just started watching your channel but love your conversation flow its opening up so many new ideas
Watching you makes me want to call!! Love it! I amd my colleagues use your opening liner. It works well. Thank you.
Who the hell is Benjamin down in Boldemouthe haha
Glad to see you resurrecting on RUclips too!
Just found this channel, I've fallen in love with sales again :-)
Welcome aboard!
Far from Vietnam but I am a big fan of you. Hope you have an online course in the future.
You make it look fun and so relaxed.
It is!
Inbound marketing combined with outbound professional sales people is a killer combo. Very few does both well.
This guy is a G, the commitment to the giggle at 11:42 was contagious to the lady on the other end haha
You are the Best, Ben!!!
In the UK you can search the companies name on companies house and see the name of the director.
"When are we gonna get the good leads?"
Todd Tangen the glen gary leads?
Yay new upload! Will enjoy this series :)
Hope you enjoy!
@@benjamindennehy I did!
One thing that I noticed helps my sales calls (found out by accident) is that I often get forwarded to the person's mobile phone. So when they answer and say hello, I respond with "oh my goodness, I didn't mean to call your cell, I was trying your office". That may sound weak, but I noticed that it disarms people, and I've gotten several appointments after that has happened to me. I wonder if that happens to anyone else, or if anyone does anything different when they get forwarded to a cell phone.
Definitely. Also Works in germany. Playing the lost one, looking for help disarms people
Next on the list haha
This is some gold!
Love it, thanks! When is the next video coming out?
Right now
Again I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!
Nice. Love it. Question: If you're prospecting for a company, would you still say "I'm alone"?
Yes
Do you ever leave Voice mails?
The leads are weak....... the leads are weak? You're weak!
Put that coffee down!
My problem is my list doesn't contain the names of the people I need to reach so when I call and ask if I can speak with the owner they figure me out right there and hang up. Sometimes I find the owner in LinkedIn but the info is wrong and I receive a response: "There's not a person with this name and there's never been, you have the wrong number" and I don't really know how to proceed from there.
I give several answers to this on my Telephone Prospecting Bootcamp

Great vid as per
Thanks!
Working on getting getting over sales call anxiety.
Do you have any methods that help you get over it? Or are you just trying to take as many calls as you can? Thanks!
@@noksber4254 Cold shower. Stay at least 5 minutes under cold water. I guarantee you - for next 4 hours you will be a beast, nothing will scare you. Firstly - after cold shower there is nothing worse than can happen to you. Second - it boost your dopamine for around 4 hours and that's a fact. If you can do the cold shower, you can do everything.
Just call. Nobody cares about you or your call. Nobody will remember your embarrassing moment other than yourself. Set a target of how many calls to make, how many decision makers to speak to and dial until you hit it. Without having quality conversations with a massive amount of decisions makers you will not become better in sales.
If you've watched a few more of Benjamin's videos, you'll learn about having a process. It's much easier to make a call when you have a process to follow. Not having a plan is a one way path to call anxiety.
You’ll be working on going to the job centre if you’re in sales and can’t pick up the phone. Get a process and get calling.
Thank you for uploading the earnest edition. However, Th first 15 minutes are a bit waste of time, would have loved to see more calls going through.
Just started selling Information Technology in the states & I fucken suck!
What's your mindset in cold-calling?
Javier Ruiz Confidence & always have a game plan try to find their problem always goes left man always fuck it up

Kristian was The team let me go for under performance.
@@debiddo9204 that's unfortunate man, have you stopped prospecting or?
I watched this for half an hour you are the gatekeeper butcher !
I’m the desperate salesman who watched the whole 30 minutes
how do you maneuver past the gatekeeper when you dont know the names of the decision makers lol

I don't think saying he or she's not in are they? Is actually a good line. That gives them the option to say no they are not. Also, saying ' its just xyz calling from xyx' makes it seem un important. I like some of what he does buti can see some basic errors here
Suggest an alternative. I'm sure folk would be keen to hear them
too bad you cannot do this in holland with the rules and regulations, you have to say who you are in full name, what company you are representing, why you are calling AND if you call at a right moment.... try a video on that following these rules? ;) challenge ?
Why? I don't need Dutch business. 😁
@@benjamindennehy nice dodging a question, absolute legend. What about for the sake you being a trainer and all?
@@spacepirate1449 He answered the question.
@@spacepirate1449 I know nothing about the regulations in dutch because I live in the states. He's already a trainer. And probably not the one for you. Find someone else.
@@benjamindennehy Brilliant answer. It made me laugh, not because it was funny, but it was obvious....and I didn't think of it. Big fan of your training.
