- Former Argentinian TV personality Javier Milei was sworn in as Argentina's new president Sunday. He has promised to eliminate government agencies, favors outlawing abortion, and is a self-described anarcho-capitalist. He also calls global warming a "socialist lie."

Milei is a genius, I feel healthy envy for Argentina to the point that I would love to go to his inauguration...The problem, and that no one talks about, at least here is...THE INHERITANCE THAT GUY IS GOING TO RECEIVE!! In years of dabbling in economic issues, I have never seen a president receive 13 points of fiscal deficit and an inflation of 140%. Unfortunately, the only solution that occurs to me is a strong cooling of the economy so that the country does not explode into the air. I don't want to be pessimistic, but I don't think people will elect him again in 2027, the average person does not have basic knowledge about economics (especially in a Latin country, forgive my generalization) and as soon as they see that their income falls, They are going to blame Milei directly... Anyway, God bless Argentina.
That's the problem. Corrupt politicians wreck the economy, but the policies needed to fix the economy are hard pills to swallow and by the time they start getting things turned around the politicians who implemented them are voted out of office and new crop of corrupt politicians who promoise the people everything under the sun take office, take credit for the economic success and then implement the same policies that started the mess that needed fixing in the first place. Thus the cycle repeats itself.

If this happens, it will be a checkmate: Argentina will continue to sell products to China, but they will have to accept the conditions imposed by the US dollar. Thus, the Chinese regime will no longer be able to take advantage of the weak peso. Argentina has entered a very hopeful period, but also a very dangerous one considering the voracity of the red dragon.
