Wreck Elhawi Star

Almost 40 years have passed since the sinking of the "Elhawi Star" in front of the Rijeka harbor. It was October 1982, and the people were able to watch the sinking of the ship from their windows and balconies! The fate of the ship was determined, it seems, by the ceramic tiles.
Several thousand tons of ceramic tiles were loaded onto the ship, which, by all accounts, were not arranged properly.
Namely, immediately after leaving, not even 300 meters from port, the ship tilted and sank. In this accident, fortunately, no one lost his life.
