Matthew 24 Jesus says that the Rapture, or in-gathering, happens "immediately AFTER the TRIBULATION of those days", at His *visible return* , preceeded by great *signs* in the heavens.
That is not correct. The subject in Matthew 24 is the second coming, not the rapture, and the elect gathered are elect Israel from around the world who survived the great tribulation. Elsewhere in the same passage Jesus warns: Let them that be in JUDAEA flee to the mountains (v16) and Pray that your flight be not in the winter nor on the SABBATH DAY (v20). It is a big mistake to apply everything in the Bible to the Church.
