$10,000 for a simple pcb is absolute insanity you got taken for a ride man. This is a keyboard pcb not a completely unique custom pcb for some experimental piece of electronics that has never been done before. ISO enter capability is very very common it's not the big deal made out here. There are pcb designers offer their services on geekhack in the $300-500usd range, such as Gondolindrim that made the pcb for the high end smith and rune iron180 keyboard which has even more features than your pcb such as alps switch capatibility and they paid in the $350-400 range for the design. Not to mention if you're not in any rush, there are so many resources and full out examples you can take inspiration from online that you could have just done this all yourself for just the cost of time and like $50 from pcbway

In 2018 there were many brands/websites selling ready-made PCBs or complete keyboards (most with ISO layout and on-firmware remapping available), open-source schematics and firmware running on hobbyist-programmable microcontrollers (ESP24/32) - with per-key backlight. Ducky is the first that comes to my mind, in the business since 2008, and very appreciated by customers. Cherry MX switches were all over the internet, red, blue and brown making the most appearance and available to buy mostly all year round. Cases, ok, custom design beats whatever is out there even today. I really can't explain how you managed to overspend the good part of $18K-$19K, or why. However, in the end it only matters what you have on hand and that you like it, congrats for managing to finish such a project, and thank you for sharing the story!
