I really like Noelle. She is a great pocket character since she can buff, debuff, and hit like a truck. And she enables her own nuke in Break phase. She also has the 10% exp boost skill which I’ve been liking in early game.
I have gotten to the credits. My main game plan went as follows 1. Viola front Noelle back This was mainly to give Noelle’s elemental crush an extra debuff turn. Other wise, Viola debuff. Noelle big wind damage 2. Miles front Iris back Miles is primarily here to give Rampart to my merchant, buffing both defenses. Iris is here for attack buffs, and I’ve awakened her twice because I’ve pulled her so much. 3. Devin/Tressa (I just pulled her) and Camilla. The merchant redirects attack yo them and Camilla has a passive skill that grants small HP regen to her front partner when she’s in the back. I also have Tressa the Beast and Dragon Scarf for more Hp regen and SP regen so she can frontline forever. Camilla come in for a hit in break phase or to 4 hit a bow weak boss. 4. Millard front and Shelby back. Millard does group heals, Shelby does targeted heals. That’s thier main job. So let’s see how my strats measure up to this video.

A lot people praise Cyrus from being the best magic dealer in the game so he is someone to look out for. Next would be Therion from original Octopath Traveler aswell thanks to his 6 multi hit dagger combo. Last one I think is Agnes from Bravely Default franchise as fan favourite by the community

I play Another Eden, and a channel that covers that game has "should you summon" videos that give a lot of information from a f2p standpoint that can be very helpful to f2p, or newer players in account management and building rosters to suit thier needs. Again, I think this is an excellent idea. 👍

Amazing guide! You're my go-to when it comes to CotC tips! Currently at Master of All Chapter V, and I've hit quite a wall with a Req. Lv 50, while I'm still Lv. 40. I guess it'll take a while to Level Up. Any tips for Leveling aside from Hunts? (I wanna save them and take the Lv. 50 Hunt when I can do it multiple times, instead of taking the lower leveled ones for max EXP gain).

I have been grinding for EXP near Shepherd's Rock (Master of All Ch.V) which requires Lv. 50, and I'm still at Lv. 40 (while the others are Lv. 37-39). Aside from Hunts, I guess the only thing I can do is to grind mats while taking mobs to get EXP.

Also, will the two collab events be coming to EN? I'm a fan of Nier, and was wondering if I should save my rubies to be ready for the event. Elite caits have set spawns! As for the Nier collab, it didn't come to Japanese for a bit over a year (16 months to be precise), so assuming it's anything even remotely close to what they have planned for the EN release schedule, you have plenty of time! Bravely, on the other hand, came out around Month 7.
Favorite 4* is Camilla so far. She's one of my few awakened units, and I pair her with Lynnette. She's really fast, so if I switch out Lynnette to get the 10% attack buff, it will happen first in the round making sure my attackers get the buff. She also hits hard and bleed seems strong. The regen passive is great too.

I would personally like to get the more in depth hunt guide soon since I’m curious about the whole seal system and grading up 3.5 or 4.5* like do only certain seals drop in certain hunts or smt like that since I’m not confident in pulling my sofia to 5* lol

How hard is it to get multiple 3.5* characters to 4* without rolling? I have Rodion, Devin, Laura, Menno, and Trish in my team who are all 3.5*( The rest is lynette and viola) and I'm worried that the level cap will affect my gameplay once I reach into higher level content.

My current team is: Tressa - Merrit Lynette - Lucetta Cedric (3.5) - Meena Laura - Nanna My other characters are: Eunice, pearl, Jose, Guti, Conny, Carroll, Evelyn, Manuel, Menny, Rita (3.5), Saria, Jorge, Wingate (3.5), Kurtz (3.5), Felline, Aslyte (3.5) Is my current team good, or would I be better off swapping certain other characters into it? Also, should I keep pulling? I want to get Cyrus when he is released, as well as either Ophilia or Lianna (I have decided which yet), so I figured I should start saving now, unless I really need to pull for more characters.
I rerolled now like 7 hours in total, and got no 5 star not once 😑 And i get only 3.4 stars or 3 stars thats it, not even so many 4 stars 🙄 I am stop rerolling
Going for the master of all, but right now I am focusing on the side quest for extra rubies. My only 5* is theo and I don't think I will go for another pull. until I hit the wall of course. but right now I am quite content with my rooster. my rooster is just a standard. theo, meeno, ashlyt, bertrand, pia, trish, sophia and 1 fan 3* free. I have igrid but since I have bertrand and theo I choose for trish instead since I like her kit of having a healing option. not great but helped me a lot in some of the bosses. later on after trish maxed level (still 3*) I will level up igrid. nice video, my go to video for this game
You know what I want to know, going back to the "just rerolled Lynette and Viola 5* talk, should I keep pulling on banners like the Fiore/Sophia banner to get more try and get more 5 stars like those 2 or Theo. Or should I not? I literally don't have any of the "better" 4 stars you pointed out here like Lucetta, Sigrid, Ramona etc and I'm super worried about investing into subpar 4 stars.
I think that if you want to look for a few more units to round out your composition, now is a good time to do so, since the Step-Up banner has discounted rates. You don't necessarily need to pull all 5 steps, just pull as much as you feel you need.

But she ended up being my MVP on Ri'tu cup. I'd been using Rita for so long that it took direct comparisons to realize just what I was missing lol
Ah, just what I needed. There's a lot to take in with this game so it's not always easy to see how to evaluate a unit's kit. Good to know it's similar enough to the OG game. Adopting the philosophy of investing in the cutest girls is always worth it tho, so it's good the game gave me Fiore. Speaking of cute girls, nice taste in idols!
I have Merritt in my comp, and I can't seem to find her backline regen passive you were talking about! I've been using her as a frontliner this whole time and was about to start reconsidering how I use her. Where in her skill board does that show up?
This is a really well made an in depth guide thanks for putting it together! One thing I wanted to note is that, in the english version at least, Menno is referred to using they/them pronouns so you might want to use those instead of he/him when referring to them in the future

New characters do get added to the Permanent Pool (and thus the Traveler's Sacred Seal pool), but it'll take a bit (prob a month or two) after any new characters' banners end before they get added. Usually they are added coinciding with a new Story Update.
This video is about units that are just 4* as their max. 4.5* characters are categorized as full 5*s in discussions instead, and are not included in this video :) To answer your question, Yes they will be stronger though.
Hey wanna ask well its a stupid situation where i get sigrid dupe like 3 4 times but i use it for limit break,um can i still get awakening shard for that chara again or crafting that chara fragment again??ive been a fool and wasted it and regret that😫

Would I be able to get into mid to late game saving for the more must have end game units releasing later if I start with a Lynette, only a few 4* being Rita, Laura, pia, aslyte, ashlan, and lucetta? I have a dupe for Lynette that can be used later on I’ve heard it’s needed for a skill I believe that releases later on, I appreciate any responses and advice anybody can give
Absolutely, but it depends on your patience; if you're okay with not being able to necessarily clear the new content as soon as it comes out, and are willing to wait for later banners to roll or new equipment to come out, you can definitely get by with a less powerful roster.
More overall story is already in the works! Additionally, a new type of major content that's sure to keep players busy for a while are the Arenas, which are Superbosses! If you can defeat them, they join your team as a free 5*, but they're by no means easy :)
The biggest confusion I have so far is how exactly to get a 3.5 or 4.5 star unit to class up from guiding. I've had a couple 3.5's get the bump to 4 the first time I got a duplicate, but then I've had others, like Rodion, stay 3.5 after SIX dupes.

With that lineup, you're pretty set on 5*s. Potentially 4*s might actually be worth rolling for a few of actually, if all you have is Sigrid and Meena.
So question regarding Devin. I haven't been able to get him to 4 stars yet due to hunts not being kind to me in terms of seals of the trader (Doesn't help that I'm only getting 2 rolls per run since my influence isn't high enough), but is the tank supposed to be so _slow_? It's to the point where he's going after pretty much every other enemy, which ends up putting me in situation where the tank is grabbing aggro after they've potentially taken out a party member. Am I going to have to resort to a party member casting a speed buff on him in order to be useful?
Yea, pretty much all characters with access to Taunt are slow. Later Merchants that don't have Taunt are noticeably faster, and even non-Merchants that get Taunt later are also very slow. It's designed that way on purpose as a balancing factor, but they probably went a bit overboard tbh.
@@ShizukatzCotC Mmm, annoying. You'd think that drawing all incoming damage to themselves would be enough of a drawback. Besides, if they go last doesn't that basically waste a turn of a taunt's duration? Not like you can fix this or anything, obviously, just thinking out loud.
It'll be okay in the short term, but as explained in the video, you will eventually hit a bit of a wall as their lower level cap means they cannot equip higher level weapons and armor.
I’m confused. Merrit’s passive (which I haven’t unlocked yet admittedly) states that it gives the front a buff. I thought that means all the front gets it, so am I wrong?
Do buffs stack in this game? So if I taunt with tressa (also buffing) and then use Lynette to buff, do they stack because they are two different characters using them? Or is the stronger buff used?
Ah, I did have a question, though! I noticed 4* don't have Awakening Stones. How would you prioritize Awakenings vs. Level cap increase on 4*? I'm think maybe pick up the Awakening 1 stat bonus and then do level cap from then on. Thanks!
This is a bit of a subjective matter, depending on who you ask and what their priorities are. Some people will say to Awaken first, some people like going to 65 for the influence and then Awakening. Personally I like going to 70 first for the +1 BP and then Awakening afterwards.
@@ShizukatzCotC Mm, +1 BP does seem very useful. Thank you. Do people generally only bother with Awakening 1, or do they go all the way to 3 before maxing out level? (Last question on the subject, thank you very much for your time and attention)
Dupe 5*s automatically get converted to Awakening Stones. It's not bad persay, as you can get a boost by Awakening the character (note: do not Awaken Lynette if you only have 1 Awakening Stone, you'll want it for later).
Another great video. Keep it up! One question I have is whether or not I should be saving my gems or using them to do pulls. I feel like the party I have is working good. I've been able to do quests without any trouble, but I don't know if I should be trying to get more units or, because I'm fine right now, hording my gems for future chars.
My favorite 4* is Pia, I like using her AOE spear to scout for spear weakness and set up spear resist down to enable Tressa who I also love using, and her “Pika” voice line is very cute

Ah, just what I needed. There's a lot to take in with this game so it's not always easy to see how to evaluate a unit's kit. Good to know it's similar enough to the OG game. Adopting the philosophy of investing in the cutest girls is always worth it tho, so it's good the game gave me Fiore.

I have Merritt in my comp, and I can't seem to find her backline regen passive you were talking about! I've been using her as a frontliner this whole time and was about to start reconsidering how I use her. Where in her skill board does that show up?
Merrit's backrow Regen is on her 2nd passive. It can be found on her 3rd Skill Board and requires at least Lv40 to unlock.
This is a really well made an in depth guide thanks for putting it together! One thing I wanted to note is that, in the english version at least, Menno is referred to using they/them pronouns so you might want to use those instead of he/him when referring to them in the future

Hey Shizukatz, do new travelers get added to Traveler’s Sacred Seal? Or is it safe to pull from it whenever??
New characters do get added to the Permanent Pool (and thus the Traveler's Sacred Seal pool), but it'll take a bit (prob a month or two) after any new characters' banners end before they get added. Usually they are added coinciding with a new Story Update.

What about 4star units that can be upgraded to 5star? Is it safe to assume, they will be better than those that cant upgrade?

Hey wanna ask well its a stupid situation where i get sigrid dupe like 3 4 times but i use it for limit break,um can i still get awakening shard for that chara again or crafting that chara fragment again??ive been a fool and wasted it and regret that😫
3-4* units do not have Awakening Stones :) Only 5*s.

Would I be able to get into mid to late game saving for the more must have end game units releasing later if I start with a Lynette, only a few 4* being Rita, Laura, pia, aslyte, ashlan, and lucetta? I have a dupe for Lynette that can be used later on I’ve heard it’s needed for a skill I believe that releases later on, I appreciate any responses and advice anybody can give
Absolutely, but it depends on your patience; if you're okay with not being able to necessarily clear the new content as soon as it comes out, and are willing to wait for later banners to roll or new equipment to come out, you can definitely get by with a less powerful roster.
What's better for my party a 4* Helga or a 3,5* Devin?
I'd say that generally the Helga because she's 4*. Both are pretty competent units, but the 4* is a decent advantage here.

Additionally, a new type of major content that's sure to keep players busy for a while are the Arenas, which are Superbosses! If you can defeat them, they join your team as a free 5*, but they're by no means easy :)

Tressa has a 3 hit spear attack?
The biggest confusion I have so far is how exactly to get a 3.5 or 4.5 star unit to class up from guiding. I've had a couple 3.5's get the bump to 4 the first time I got a duplicate, but then I've had others, like Rodion, stay 3.5 after SIX dupes.
Ouch, that's unfortunately just bad luck. All you would have to do is pull the 4* version, and you missed six times D:

With that lineup, you're pretty set on 5*s. Potentially 4*s might actually be worth rolling for a few of actually, if all you have is Sigrid and Meena.

So question regarding Devin. I haven't been able to get him to 4 stars yet due to hunts not being kind to me in terms of seals of the trader (Doesn't help that I'm only getting 2 rolls per run since my influence isn't high enough), but is the tank supposed to be so _slow_? It's to the point where he's going after pretty much every other enemy, which ends up putting me in situation where the tank is grabbing aggro after they've potentially taken out a party member. Am I going to have to resort to a party member casting a speed buff on him in order to be useful?
Yea, pretty much all characters with access to Taunt are slow. Later Merchants that don't have Taunt are noticeably faster, and even non-Merchants that get Taunt later are also very slow. It's designed that way on purpose as a balancing factor, but they probably went a bit overboard tbh.
@@ShizukatzCotC Mmm, annoying. You'd think that drawing all incoming damage to themselves would be enough of a drawback. Besides, if they go last doesn't that basically waste a turn of a taunt's duration? Not like you can fix this or anything, obviously, just thinking out loud.
I mean, drawing all enemy attack to themselves isn't intended to be a drawback lol :>
Question: been playing. Most of these 4*s, I've been pulling are coming home as their 3* variants. Is this okay?
It'll be okay in the short term, but as explained in the video, you will eventually hit a bit of a wall as their lower level cap means they cannot equip higher level weapons and armor.

I’m confused. Merrit’s passive (which I haven’t unlocked yet admittedly) states that it gives the front a buff. I thought that means all the front gets it, so am I wrong?
Passives that read "Joint" (I think that's what it says in the Eng vers.) apply to the character themselves + the ally in the same row.

Do buffs stack in this game? So if I taunt with tressa (also buffing) and then use Lynette to buff, do they stack because they are two different characters using them? Or is the stronger buff used?

Ah, I did have a question, though! I noticed 4* don't have Awakening Stones. How would you prioritize Awakenings vs. Level cap increase on 4*? I'm think maybe pick up the Awakening 1 stat bonus and then do level cap from then on.

This is a bit of a subjective matter, depending on who you ask and what their priorities are. Some people will say to Awaken first, some people like going to 65 for the influence and then Awakening.
Personally I like going to 70 first for the +1 BP and then Awakening afterwards.

Dupe 5*s automatically get converted to Awakening Stones. It's not bad persay, as you can get a boost by Awakening the character (note: do not Awaken Lynette if you only have 1 Awakening Stone, you'll want it for later).

One question I have is whether or not I should be saving my gems or using them to do pulls. I feel like the party I have is working good. I've been able to do quests without any trouble, but I don't know if I should be trying to get more units or, because I'm fine right now, hording my gems for future chars.
If you're fine with your current roster, I think saving is fine as well. There are a few pretty cool characters coming up like Cyrus!

My favorite 4* is Pia, I like using her AOE spear to scout for spear weakness and set up spear resist down to enable Tressa who I also love using, and her “Pika” voice line is very cute
