I'm back from Cuba meaning I can finally upload videos again! There's another 7 coming over the next week! I hope you enjoyed checking out Uxmal, I loved it and it totally lived up to expectations! Sorry about the wind, it can't be helped! Next up, Chichen Itza! ¡Siguiente, Chichen Itza!
EZ Cambranis haha yeah it was baking but nothing compared to my Cuba suntan, coming soon! I loved Uxmal too, you'll see in the next one what I thought of Chichen Itza!
For some reason I loved Uxmal a lot more the Chichen Itza... oh yeah, I remember now... I got a heatstroke and I fell. Now I have a nice scar on my left eyebrow. I was taken to the nearest hospital, but they didn't have electricity... it was exciting... [sarcasm]
I enjoyed watching this so so much! I got to visit here when I was a very small child with my parents.... My father is dying... one of my earliest memories is getting to go here with my parents! I decided to google videos of the Mayan ruins to reminisce. Your video is the best I have watched! Thank you! I was about 4 when Mom and Dad brought me with them to see these amazing ruins! I wish I was little again! I hate my father is at this point in his life!!! I am with him every day now! I plan to share your video with him. Your video brought back so many wonderful memories! I hope to one day be able to afford to come here and experience this as an adult and enjoy the memories of being there as a child when life was new and my parents young! Thank you for posting this! Thank you so much for sharing!
Hey Kitty, thanks for your lovely comment! I'm glad it could have a positive effect on you. I'm sorry to hear about your father, i'm sure he appreciates you being with him at this difficult time. I hope he enjoys the video! 🇲🇽🇲🇽❤
Great video David! I hope you enjoyed your visit. I am glad you ended up in Uxmal and not in Chichen Itza. In my opinion, Uxmal is less crowded and with less tourism. You can appreciate the archeological sites better. I hope you have a chance to see Tulum in the Mayan Riviera. Catch you later! ;-)
I love Uxmal. :-) At 3:27 you can see the history of giving birth of the mayan. The human (face) came out of the snake (Quetzalquatl). At 3:48 you can good see the faces an nose of Chac the Raingod. In Uxmal they give no natural fountain water (like a river or lake) so they have to built water caves (collectors) under the earth, so rain fall on the collecting places and go down in the cistern (well). So Chac the rain god was the very importain god of the people of Uxmal to survive. I liked Uxmal very much, because it wasn't so crowded and not a tourist trap like Chichen Itza.
Absolutely amigo! Ever since I went to Mayan sites in Belize, I wanted to visit Uxmal. I agree about Chichen Itza, great history but due to it's proximity to Cancun I guess it's a good option for tourists on vacation.
Love the videos. I have not been to this site. I just sent my wife a text. We are stopping here in october always wanted to check out Merida as well... nice work!!!
