Hey Scalewings, Spitfire next!
If that Turbaero turboprop ever comes to fruition it would be a cool 200hp powerplant
I often wonder why the US doesn't make a modern P-51, 1500hp turboprop, modern avionics and use it for ground attack... Like the super Tucano! Considering NATO used 70million + jets to drop 250lb bombs in afghan... something like that would be far more cost effective
I was thinking with certain fighters like the spitfire and bf109 that have a very tight wheel base and hard ground handling because of it if they could adjust it when shrinking it to 70% scale. But honestly it would be easier to do an aircraft with wider wheel bases first like the Hurricane just so you give customer the easiest planes to taxi so you don’t have to deal with extra repairs and taxi accidents
Seems like a great value at $320k! Looks like a fun plane to fly!
I imagine this is a very fun plane to fly. I am impressed by the quality and details. I noticed it has the gun ports in it. As light as it seems to be, it doesn't need a high-powered engine to fly it.
I am tremendously impressed with this company ! Had I the money (Lottery winnings) I would go to Deutschland nd help make my own...! Congratulations to you all !
I am so happy for you to bring back a Legacy Air Craft that Help change World War II. And turn out some of Our Greatest Pilots. And like to add a little though of making this Aircraft sell More with a little less Cost. Please Go to U S Composite Company and look at the Hybrid Fiber because they have a Special Fiber for this Awesome SW- 51
Why is it better than the carbon fiber honeycomb used?
Looks beautiful! Thank you very much for sharing! 👍👍👍
Well done !!! The rivet detail is brilliant. They dial-up the Mitty factor to 11, while reducing any QA rejects on the molded parts. Blemishes are a baked-in feature...not a bug. Overall, the kit development looks very well thought-out and the finished product appears to be an industry benchmark.
Really nice, love all the faux rivets and screws...
thats a sharp aircraft.
Wow! I love the mustang so this is a HUGE accomplishment!! I hope I can save up and after getting my pilot license I’ll purchase this mustang and live my dream!!
its crazy amazing
Correction - the factory is located in Poland, not Germany… beautiful plane.
A cracking Kit Mustang!
Looks awesome make a full size one.
As of Air Adventure 2023 the only option is builder assist which puts the airplane well north of $500K. I would have asked them about their production model. The last I was told that they can do a builder assist or kit.......but not both. Enjoy your Poland vacation!
this could have been four times longer. Awesome
ME262 next ?
Made in America!
All of the usa stuff is german anyways. Remember. The english only steal. Or make prototypes that never make it into product
No way, F-82E next.
SR71 😎
Maybe one day they can build a full scale replica.
That would be amazing. Even a 85%-90% scale would be welcomed. I did read up some on why it isn't feasible, but boy would that be nice.
It would be cool if it could be outfitted with drop tanks. Think of the range and flight times you could achieve ! Lol
I would love to see the Zero type 1 come to life.
Ask and you shall receive :) Have a look at this. They also have a Messerschmidt 109.

You gonna buy one?
😍
What was the wing spar made from composite or aluminium
Do they use Kevlar? I was also curious about the engines that they recommend for the plane. It looks like it would be a blast to fly. Where can I find the performance specs?
It looks like they got the scale small. Seriously, will there be a version without all the drag producing imitation rivet holes, etc.?
Anybody else wondering when someone's going to try to up the engine power on one of these with a mill fit to go chasing down an appropriate class at Reno?
How long will it last? There are Cessnas that are 60 + years old. Will UV /sunlight decay the material?
Why didn't you ask about/discuss flight characteristics? Stall speed? Slow flight handling? High speed handling? Does it fly like the original Mustang? etc.
ruclips.net/video/kwrZd8I-SDo/видео.html
Why fake rivets? It's cool for the look, but what about the drag? You could get something closer to laminar flow without the fake stuff and increase the performance of the wing.
With these warbirds it is often desired to get a mostly authentic aircraft. If you just want top of the line performance you get an aircraft that is designed to have top Performance.
❤
70% OV-10 👍
This is only 70% scale.
Is there an option for a 100% scale plane?
Ok i live on a lake do u have a flying boat configuration and I want 2 how much?
P38 lightning
😎😍😍😍👍🏻
can i get one to put a fuel injected V8 installed?
Two seaters available?
Yup
Is there a second part? End was kinda abrupt
We are working on a more in depth "How it's Made" episode NEXT. Coming Soon.
That’s for sure. The channel needs an editor badly.
There goes my retirement account.
PLEASE! Do another video and tell us more.
Them things got Hemis?
Maybe Vortecs in the near future , considering it's more readily available
Looks like a back yard operation to me for 3 hundred thousand bucks
Ironic that it’s built in Germany . It shows they respect a formidable foe of WW2. And I totally respect them for that. Likewise the bf109 was an adversary to be feared. Legendary German engineering. No doubt. And remember, there is a huge difference between Quality Control and Quality Assurance. Quailty Control is much more ineffective and expensive than Quality Assurance.
I suspect getting 51% approval in the US is going to be a challenge.
Shouldn't be, Germany and most other countries in Europe Including the UK and France which form the biggest GA community outside the US also adhere to the 51% rule. Lancairs and Europas complied...
@@Thinkflite I hope that is the case, but it sure doesn’t look like this kit leaves a lot to the kit builder.
Huh?
Imagine if they made full sized and installed turbine engines.
Imagine the cost to buy and operate such an aircraft.
You can buy one
It’s called a plyatus pc3 and it’s an airforce trainer
A guy in Idaho already tried it. I think it used a t-28 turbine engine from a huey helicopter.
No1 seems to build full size replicas they build 90% and I think 95% but not 100% surely full size is the way to go especially if you're already in the 90%+ size,
I don't know, it looks like a fairly chinchy operation over there...
No, this was not a "military aircraft" that is now a kit. It was never anything other than a kit aircraft.
The Rotax engine version isn't going to sell well in the US. If someone drops $300k on a mustang kit they want performance, not fuel economy. Start thinking hard about a strong V8 or VW V12 engine and you'll have a winner.
Is there a reason they couldn't just make a 100% scale reproduction with a Rolls Royce Merlin engine like the original airplane had?
If they fabricate The Mustang.Could somebody fabricate the F14 Tomcat?…..
Kinda odd that Germany is making p51s now huh 😂😂
Like ak‘s in the us😂
160hp does not seem like much if you were to have two people and a bag full of gas. But maybe it’s just me. 🤷♂️
Brian! Right at the start you still answer your own questions! And you continue with your suggestions.. WTF!
Brian: accept that EVERYBODY is a better speaker than you. And the engineers know their story best.
Let us listen to THEM!
That's what we attempt to do here. Let people tell their Aviation stories and get more people involved in Aviation. 🙂There is always someone better in everything that is done. But if you don't keep trying... you will never succeed. Fail Forward FRIEND.
What is the biggest reason not to build it 1:1 scale
Factory Tour!! ???????????? It's not a facrory tour its a bunch of pre recorded footage taped together..........
Couldn't travel over there in person just yet. Best we can get to you at this moment. 🙂
@@ExperimentalAircraftChannel I get that just watched too much NYCNC he does factory tours (walk through) so I got exited because this aircraft is awesome, wanted to see a little of how its made!
Wouldn't really call it a military aircraft. No gun ports or pylons. Not designed for military use. It's really no different than any other acrobatic propeller plane. It's just shaped like a P-51.
If to go to the lengths of reproducing the skin in such detail, why spoil it with such a modern looking cockpit interior?
Horrible music, really detracts from the video
I guess I've never been into scaled down aircraft, I don't see the point of it,, if you cant show up with the real thing, don't show up at all. If you wanna design and build a sleek high performance machine, just do it, don't copy a legendary aircraft.
There's always Zenith Aircraft
Can't understand the German accent English....
