Thank you I am new to this I bought both 2 weeks ago and like both so far still learning so much info IT"S OVERWHELMING like you I'm lazy with my hair I'll put my hair in a ponytail/bun/pulled back with a clip in a heartbeat and I'm good I just want a wig I can slap on an go that's what I'm after The human hair one has bangs no problem it's truly a slap on and go the synthetic with baby hair just on the forehead area really thick (didn't notice when purchased) it's does it's own thing don't like that part and don't quite know how to style it yet I just brush in with hair doesn't look awful but need to explore what to do with it and I love my natural "baby hair" I don't like the forced look women are sporting (now some look natural and beautiful) because I love this wig and it's getting a lot of complements and questions not that I care what others think but it is nice to hear
I love synthetic! I’m lazy and I like to have perfect looking hair so synthetic wins! Plus I can buy 8 to 10 pieces for same price of human so it’s win win!
I prefer synthetic because some human hair is not ethically sourced ( easy to find info if interested) also synthetic styles last for multiple days once styled.
Both. Just got my first real hair ever and honestly, I’m overwhelmed! It feels nice and moves nice but it’s a lot of steps to keep! Synthetic, put on. End of steps...
This came at a perfect time for me! I've been considering purchasing my first HH piece and I've been trying to weigh the pros and cons. The maintenance and styling are scaring me off. I am a low maintenance girl and can't do styling to save my life! Thanks for putting your two cents out there.
It's an acquired skill, I think, so don't shy away from it. I think everyone should try it, truly. Also, I haven't forgotten just have been crazy job-wise and I have some travel coming up. Coffee soon! Hope this is the right Erin and you know what I am talking about, lol...
I used to HATE synthetic! Over the years I’ve learned the truth... if you know what you are doing you can tweak a synthetic wig to look natural. The style LASTS, low maintenance, etc. Synthetic is the truth!
Synthetic all the way! My hair is naturally curly and I spent so much on curly human hair wigs and they didn’t at all look as natural on me as a synthetic straight wig. Something about synthetic hair didn’t look as fake. Human hair didn’t look cute on me at all. Also the glue and the freeze spray broke me out when I wore lace front human hair wigs. Synthetic is easier
When I started wearing wigs, I was investing human vs synthetic and read this in the description of a human hair with: "perfect for the lady who misses the experience of stying her own hair." 😳 I live in Texas, too, and spent most of my life on the gulf coast where we had flat or fizzy humidity hair but great skin. I never want to fight my hair ever again, so I knew I would never "miss the experience" of styling my hair. That is when I knew synthetic was for me. I now have great skin and good hair every day.
When I had long hair I really didn’t like styling it, so synthetic hair extensions is the wayyyyyy to go. Also I’m a student on budget, so it’s more affordable
There’s pluses and minuses for both. I like human hair wigs because they’re more realistic looking and they last longer. I like synthetic ones because they’re easier to manipulate and they keep a style. I’ve spent a lot of money on both kinds of wigs, but if I had to choose i would pick Human.
LOVE THIS! I am soaking up all the advice as I am brand new to this world even though I have been losing my hair for about 20 years. I have purchased 1 decent synthetic topper which I love (and have ordered another 3, lol), and 3 SUPER CHEAP (less than 20 bucks) wigs that I think are only good for Halloween but maybe when I get really good that this I will learn how to fix them up and make them wearable. I am going to stick with Synthetic for awhile until I get really really great at wearing them and then maybe get a high quality custom Human Hair wig or topper for a special occasion.
Kelly, the first one I bought was from WigStudio1, it is the BelleTress Top Wave 14", you can find it here: www.wigstudio1.com/collections/hd-toppers/products/lace-front-mono-top-wave-14-by-belletress . I have since bought another one of the same in a different color and 2 others I haven't received yet. I joined a community group at The Corner of Hope and Mane and they have a try on shop for members so I was able to try the BelleTress before I bought it (free to try on, just pay shipping). That was HUGE for me. I am brand new to all this, and have only been a topper owner and wearer for 1 week, lol. But I have been losing my hair for a long time so I am definitely ready. It's harder than I thought it would be, though.... but there is a huge community of people out there waiting to help. RUclips videos have been amazing... have you seen any by Amber at FabricatingFringe (search for that on RUclips), or Taz at Tazswigcloset? CysterWigs is also GREAT and super helpful (the other toppers I have purchased but haven't received were from CysterWigs and her sister site WigCloseOuts). Pattispearls is also another GREAT resource. Good luck! Denise
Denise Sheets hey girl thank you so much for replying! Yes actually I’m following Amber on Instagram and am subscribed to her on YT as well. She is great. I’m new to all this too and my hair is in the beginning stages of hair loss. I’m doing my research and figuring out options now because in a year or two I will most likely need helper hair. Or during menopause I’m a little worried for that I’m only 38 but I’ve heard stories of women losing so much hair in menopause. It’s a lot more complicated than I thought it would be and sometimes I get so hopeless. My budget is tight so I can’t spend hundreds on hair.
Thanks ! For this video -I had waist length hair and started missing it so decided I would try extensions for length yesterday! My stylist wouldn’t stop commenting how much better and how much longer human lasts -but your references/facts are a great debate for it
OmG yes! I hate having the "red hue" in EVERY single color that Human hair has NO MATTER what you do to it. Annoying & disheartening in so many ways...
I wear toppers and am happy with synthetic for all the reasons you mention- but mainly because I don’t have to style it. I have lately been looking at hh but am not very inspired to purchase. My concern is that I want to wear it straight, but I only get to see the photos of curled toppers. I’ve contacted a few companies about this. But it’s a lot of money to pay without not being able to really see what I’m getting- in it’s straight form.
Synthetic all the way!! I agree with all your reasons 100%. I used to wear human hair. I started buying synthetic out of necessity to save money. I was so sure that I was going to hate it lol. I love it! So much faster, easier, cheaper, better colors, etc. I love that I have so many different looks ready to go on any given day. I have so many pieces to choose from. My current collection would cost a fortune if they were human hair. I literally have enough hair to last me the next 10 years for under $1000. It's like a dream come true! Plus, I get way more compliments than I ever got with my human hair pieces 😊
Just had a bad experience with a human hair wig, but all the synthetic hair I have is mostly just brilliant... and affordable! To get a decent quality human hair wig, you need to spend. And synthetics can be so silky and soft, you don't have to fork out for human hair for that. And I love playing with colours. I have blue wigs, rainbow wigs, pink wigs, purple wigs... love them for a bit of dazzle and fun! I also have hair my own colour and they're wonderful. I do have to say I prefer synthetic. Right now I'm adoring silver grey shades and have a few synthetics in that colour - some just straight, some with different coloured streaks added. And if you have a number of synthetic wigs for the price of one human hair wig, you have more possibilities. Besides, playing with wigs gives my natural hair a rest and, as you said, human hair is SO time consuming, wig or not! I always buy heat resistant synthetics so if I want to, I can change the style as I please. I've had wavy wigs which looked excellently better after a go with my straighteners - and vice versa. But synthetic wigs are just there for you, shove them on and go, don't waste your precious time styling when you don't have to - and for a really quick rush job, just put a headband around your lace front wig - et voila! Instant headband wig and you don't see any of your hairline - much better for putting up in a quick pony tail too. (And of course I always use a mister spray on my synthetic wigs before I use anything heated. Helps them last longer, besides, you'd never put a heated styler on your own natural hair for fear of damage, works for synthetics too, although all they need is a spray of water before you style.) Sorry for rambling, but this is my passion!
I totally get it in terms of the humidity, sleekness, and styling, (also my synthetic wigs last wayyy longer). I'm just so afraid of the way it looks in sunlight, plasticy. Synthetic is better for me at night, human hair in the day.
@@kellyjacobs4114 Yes, but do you know that most dry shampoos contain alcohol, which breaks down synthetic fibers? Worse, I wear lots of black for dress and formal occasions, and the dry shampoo falls on that black like snow.
I switched from human hair to synthetic. My first wig was Veronica by Jon Renau, my second was Blake. Blake was just perfect, i payed for her a sh!t lot of money, she is full hand tide, 100% human, lace front, everything.. but gosh, how much i got fed up from styling… and she was getting ungly and frizzy and the lace get fried.. and i my soul was crying for the money i spend for her including the JN care products.. Thn i just needed new wig.. i didnt had tht much budget for new blake so I got Mirage by Ellen Wille.. ok, she was also like 500 euro, but.. I am amazed.. mirage is HD wig, when is getting frizzy i just straight her with flat iron and is like new again, no blow drying, simple styling, realistic hair density, when i want some curls, they stay until I straight the wig.. Iam working as a nurse, i have a lot of shits and when Iam free.. i just dont want to waste a time at washing and styling a wig.. now i got at clearance Columbia by Belle Tress for summer and yah, iam really amazed.. I dont think so, tht I will ever come back to human hair..
I hope I will meet you one day and give you a hug. I cannot deal with my thinning hair anymore. But hair for women is so personal and so feminine, thank you for sharing and walking me through this process and making it normal.
Yes ans it's a bit unethical. Human hair wigs often come from women who are too poor and have no choice than sell their hair, a symbol of their feminity 😟
@@leila_de_hautjardin no its not unethical... lot of people donate willingly and for others you are HELPING THEM in exchange of just their hair! not their blood or kidneys! When ppl can sell their blood! and that's totally ethical, how is hair unethical?
Synthetic. I bought a HH wig last year and it was so heavy weight wise and this may sound strange but touching some stranger's hair gave me the creeps. Needless to say, I never wore it!
I have enough hair for toppers. I prefer toppers because they’re not as hot. I prefer human hair because with toppers you’re blending your own hair (I don’t have a lot at all & it’s super fine, but it still works, for now!) & it’s hard to blend synthetic with your own real hair...they don’t twist together & blend together very good. I do have synthetic wigs from when I first started my journey & they’re very nice ones, they’re just so hot & scratchy. My favorite wig I ever bought though is the wave cut by Hairdo.
Im sure totally me but never had synthetic hair not turn to horrid tangled mess even with all the expensive products and trestments and brushing all the time. Just always ends up trash after about 10 wears. Also heat safe synthetic is always heat safe but I can never style synthetic. Its always just stuck exactly how it comes. Def checking out pros and cons video. Thanks
I would love to kmow how you guys incorporated the wig look into your lives ...did you just wear one or informed colleagues...friends...etc before exposing yourself with one on lol ..big step ! Perhaps there is a video? 😊
I am a wig business owner. I started wearing wigs 20 years ago I was at necessity. I started out with synthetic. I did not like the shine that most of them have. Also I was with the long hair and I did not like after wearing them that they hear actually starts the part it looked wiggy to me. The short synthetic wigs from some of the companies I’ve dealt with were fairly nice they have gotten much nicer over the years. I wear Jon Renault wigs in the human hair. What I love about them is I get them in a beautiful brunette shade I lowlight them and then I highlight in the places that I want. I do have a awesome hairdresser who styles them. Nobody knows I even have a wig on , they are breathtaking. I see your reasoning behind hot weather but I have really not had any problem with my wigs even in the summer I wear them up also. I may try my hand at Racquel Welch rewind style wig I am liking to go maybe shorter. Thank you for your video you do a lovely job.
Absolutely agree - AND I detest “heat friendly” or “heat defiant”. They are hard to style and get frizzy, snarly, dead. I avoid them now, after a lot of experience with them.
I can afford to have either, and have a full head of long bio hair, and I prefer synthetic because I like the ease of style with synthetic plus humidity makes HH friz. I wear wigs because it’s so much fun to have a different style with my changing moods.
Human hair is the very best. I've bought some real cute synthetic wigs but they end up frizzing up & shedding. This doesn't ever happen with my Human hair wigs or toppers. They may cost more but they last so much longer it's well worth it. I don't have to purchase another one every 3 or 4 months. Synthetic has gotten very expensive lately, and then I've worn it one two or three times & it gets it starts looking frizzy. I like long hair, synthetic isn't bad for shorter hair.
I got a tip for the human hair discoloration that happens after a while. Dye it! I recently dyed my 1 year old topper with a store brought kit and the colour + hydration made it look so much nicer, almost like new. I've only tried 1 synthetic topper, but it was very poofy in the back, so it looked fake and just not my style :( I wish I could find a synthetic topper that looks perfectly flat in the back. Any tips? Also, any tips about transitioning from a piece with fringe to one without a fringe without your co-workers figuring out that you wear fake hair? I'm having that dilema now...
Yes! Adding color on top adds a bit of a coating and gets into the hair/cuticle (I might not be explaining this 100% scientifically correct) to fill it in and revives it a bit! Great tip. With toppers, many of them (esp the larger-sized ones) have permatease in them to help give shape. This can be tamed by aiming a blow dryer on low at the PT. Some Jon Renau has no PT and the BelleTress toppers I've tried don't, either.
I am 49 years old and grew up much of my childhood in Dallas so I know the humidity. That being said, I started off with faux ponytails in Texas in my youth and yes I agree the synthetic are way friendlier as far as heat in Texas, humidity etc...I still to this day prefer the ponytail as seen in my little thumbnail from Forever young wigs. I think it's called eternally young? lol I should really know considering I've ordered the same one for YEARS now and Amazon even sells it in shade 4, my shade. I love sythetic front lace wigs due to the color options and being a lace front they are more realistic. I was just seriously considering spending a grand on a human one until being reminded of all the reasons I don't do human hair! Great video. Thank you. God bless
My hair turns light during summer, and dark during winter. I personally haven't had any problems with it. The colour of my hair depends on whether I spend more time outside or inside, I always assumed it's the same with human hair wigs.
Synthetic all the way, I love it so much. I can throw my hair on, run a comb threw it and be done with my hair in under 5 minutes. Plus, it looks so real that I get compliments on my hair weekly and people asking me where I get my hair done.
i prefer synthetic better because its affordable, even though its basically plastic but there are lots of synthetic wigs that looks like real hair, so yeah, synthetic it is
I'm a synthetic hair fan because firstly I know that it doesn't come from people selling their hair in desperation, I saw this video in refinery which was just so heartbreaking to see all those woman love their hair but have to cut it because of fininacial needs so I know I won't be paying for someone else's pain. Secondly, the hair on the bottom of my head can go frizzy so it's nice that no matter what weather the synthetic hair can help hide that. Thirdly, I have never had issues with colour matching with synthetic hair. Fourth, they're just so much easier on my pocket, I can't get so much synthetic hair and I know it doesn't last as long as human hair but I swear it still works out cheaper.
In many cultures, where I come from as well, It's incredibly bad luck to wear someone else's hair as an extension. Cause they would have sold it due to a number of reasons like serious illness (like cancer), lost love, someone died, poverty as you stated, hair from the floor of salons etc. No matter how much it is washed and treated, that bad energy is not leaving. In India, we have weddings where hair extensions are unavoidable for hairstyles and 80% of us request synthetic hair, especially religious people. Wearing someone else's hair, even an animal's, seems icky to me. Like do you know the story behind that hair? Some people cut and gather their own hair over the years and then fashion it into extensions. That's also icky. Some people say "But you help them by buying it" You are paying to get bad luck is more like it. Hair and fingernails are also used in black magic in so many cultures. It's scary. Always go for synthetic.
That is so interesting I never thought of it as bad luck but that makes so much sense 😊 yeah definitely synthetic definitely the way to go in my opinion
I used to be anti synthetic until I actually tried a high quality one. Never looking back. The main thing I dislike about real human hair is I never truly know the original texture of the hair, even if the wig seller knows who’s head it came from! and as someone that has always never did their hair, it’s annoying having to basically learn how to do hair lol
You might want to look into vivica fox wigs and other african american lines like bobbi boss...freetress...sensationnel. there are some super cute high quality curly wigs in many colours ..lengths and styles
I have worn synthetic wigs and they are hot ,just bought my first human hair wig will be delivered tomorrow so we will see how I feel, I wouldn’t mind styling my hair I think it will be fun because I have never been able to style my wigs because they have been synthetic,so it will be fun to maybe flat iron or do curls or whatever.
@@elainew2230 Synthetic does tangle easily, it also sheds & they're much hotter. I love my human hair wigs. They cost more, but they last so much longer it's well worth it. They don't shed, look real & are so much cooler to wear & don't itch. There's nothing better than a good human haired wig.
I am new to wigs. I have significant hair loss on the crown of my head. I would like to know some favorite brands of wigs, and the price range. I am interested in chin to shoulder length ,in current hair styles. I have a Godiva Secrets lace front mono wig that I love, but thought it was spendy. I also have a Paula Young wig which I paid less then a 1/3 of the price of the Godiva Secrets wig. I am happy with both, I use them for different things. One for every day ,the other for good. Who has nice synthetic wigs for under $300.00? I would love a decent topper also. Got one from Paula Young, it was terrible. I should have had it cut or thinned maybe. Help!
Many retailers will sell for 20-30% off, are you on their email lists? Also, Godiva Secret Wigs whitelabels many (all) of their pieces...so you can find them for much less. My favorite synthetic wig brand overall is Jon Renau, simply because they make many wigs in the same color as my topper from them and I can interchange them!
Synthetic... human hair takes 1 hour plus and over time it gets tangled in all the wrong places...a total waste of money. It's best to buy 3 or 4 synthetics over 1 human hair piece that may look fab but in a short period of time will drive you cracy
I am just getting into all of this. But I bought 2 synthetic wigs. Haven’t used them yet. I’m kinda scared to. I just don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve been looking into toppers but they are so expensive. Ugh.
Look up Taz'swigcloset she is so amazing with wigs. You will love her, and Heather at cysterwigs.com also Kim all are on youtube. I hope this helps you. Good luck I found them and it helped me so much. ❤
Noooo don't be scared! What's your hair like? I bet we can find a topper match. And yes, you can cut down a wefted wig into a topper. I did this with a large toppers but the process is the same - you just cut off the wefts from a wig and keep the scalp base, then sew or glue some clips on: cornerofhopeandmane.com/make-topper-smaller/
My hair medium brown mixed with some grey and is about shoulder length. It’s not bad but it’s thin and no volume. I feel like in the next few years it will only get worse. I tried the wigs on and they look so un natural. Lol. I know I have to work with them but I don’t have a clue.
Thank you I’m am new to wearing hair but I’m tired of looking for a solution. I have curly and thinning hair. I have a topper but it’s straight and it’s so much work
Your link about the piece you are wearing in this video is for Blake Remy HH? I really love the colors but JR HH is just out of my price range! Unless this is a different piece.
If maintained properly, a lot of people say it can last for about 4-7 months of consecutive wear. But luckily they're much cheaper than HH so if you were in a pinch with your synthetic wearing out, it won't take much of a toll on your bank account!
I have had one for close to a year. (Not a cheap Amazon wig) Don’t over wash or over heat style them . Condition them periodically and they can last a long time. Also depends on wear. Do you wear the same one? Do you wear it all day every day? Longer wigs get worn quicker from brushing and rubbing against fabrics or collars.
Love your video! I do agree with everything you said; however, and despite not having hair since I was 4yo, so I basically know nothing about styling hair (my first wigs were synthethic) I prefere human hair over synthetic any time, I just could not deal with freezy fibers, I hate them, I need hair I can wear everyday and that it is long lasting, synthetics were not.
I guess if you can afford quality synthetic hair, it's a fun alternative, but not as much for someone who cannot spend more than $150-$200 every 6 months in hair. I mean, even for someone with alopecia, like us, hair is superfluous compared to a roof over our heads and food on the table. In these cases (and it's my case), a decent human hair wig that is well taken care of might last for those whole 6 months, while allowing for styling and color changes with no need to invest much more $ into it.
The Noriko Milan is not HD-fiber (heat-defiant), so you technically should not use heat tools on it. You can add some texture with steaming: ruclips.net/video/Y_gLXHNl4bU/видео.html
Suran Yoo, What is your favorite brand of synthetic? I'm about to purchase my wife's first wig and think I will definitely go synthetic since she spends nearly an hour everyday styling her natural hair. She's Filipina and her hair looks similar to yours, long and fine and thinning. Todd Annapolis MD
Mega Man hi Todd! My favorite brand I’ve seen in the market so far is Jon Renau. But the biggest problem I have with synthetic hair tbh is that none have a super realistic looking scalp (I.e. a silk top). JR is probably the only one I’ve found that I would wear outside the house but it’s still not perfect!
Synthetic... However.. I just got a top billing hair topper and the darkest is a very dark dark brown.. I have a almost black.. Can you dye it with hair dye?
My hair is thinning rapidly and I desperately need a wig or full topper. My biggest problem in finding the right topper or wig is color - I like you, prefer a nice medium dark brown but very ashy . So I bought my first topper from a local wig shop and ordered a human hair medium dark ash brown. It is not what I consider ash - has a definite golden hue. I hate it. It was expensive and I can't wear it and feel good about it. Even after several attempts to professionally color no one can get rid of the gold/red hue. With the popularity of ashy browns, I can't understand why so many Wig companies offer tons of warm browns but almost no ash colored browns and if they do they are usually one flat boring shiny color which scream WIG. Can you point any of us gals that prefer a true ash brown to a company that sells that ashy color range, preferably with some subtle ashy highlighting to look natural or what type of human hair wigs will actually take color and highlighting well - clearly the one I purchased did not? PS. you look fantastic in the ash brown!
Hello I really enjoy your videos. I am thinking about getting a topper, I have thinning around my hairline, I would say about 3 inches from hairline I do have a lot of hair but right in the front you can see my scalp, my hair is about 18 inches, I was wanting your opinion if you prefer toppers with lace front or without lace and which topper you like the best.
So sorry for the delayed reply - I prefer without just because you have to glue or tape the lace down flat. You can get Top Secret (now called Top Style) from places like Wigs by Patti's Pearls.
Have you tried Jon Renaus top style in human hair? I wear the synthetic version, but have really wanted to try it in human hair. I just want to be able to curl my hair.
Could you please guide me to a synthetic topper that really looks NATURAL? I am sp afraid that people would see that I am wearing "fake hair" Thanks alot!
What is the piece you have on in the clipped-up style? The part looks so realistic! As to your question- I don't know yet. Very new to all this. So far, I've just got one synthetic wig, which I adore- but I do wish that it FELT more like hh. Any ideas on which synthetics feel softest? Thanks for the great video- really appreciate you not padding it and getting right to the info!
I love human hair. I get silk tops with lace front kind, so the look is very natural. I find that every wig needs customization. They are usually too full for my tiny head, so I take out a lot of hair from the hairline to make it more believable. I enjoy the feel of human hair and the fact that it’s not shiny. It’s true, they do need some styling time, but I don’t do too much to mine, aside from curling bangs to the side and I wear at least 16 inch hair. I would like to try synthetic hair like Jon renau, but I’m a little scared about the upkeep. I had synthetic hair extensions years ago and they required a lot of washing in fabric softener and straightening to look and feel nice.
You might give it a whirl again, but ditch the fabric softener. It tends to leave a buildup which worsens the pieces over time. So glad you are enjoying your human hair!!
Human hair is better in my opinion. Its just that synthetic hair looks too shiny and fake when I wear it. Human hair just blends naturally into the rest of my hair. I care very much whether or not people can tell I have extensions on...so I wouldn’t risk it by wearing synthetic hair pieces/wigs/extensions.
Hello I defer from you in my case sintetic make me itchi in summer and get really tangle and ugly in less than 2 month i use 100%real hair I have my family buy it from my country and send it to me no mix and last year just die and keep using it the problem is the mix one horrible I spend lots of money and when to the pool and peace of junk tangle so bad beyong repear get reall hair from a people and make a wig it would change your mind forever and last longer 😘
To be honest I’m a frugal girl lol 😂. I like variety and long big hair... I’ve been wearing synthetic blends for years and if you take care of them you can bring them back to life. Human hair wigs I don’t mind having them if you can afford it. If you want a thicker density and longer hair these vendors want to charge you 400.00 up to 700.00 bucks. So for me I want what I want at a cheaper price and the synthetic companies are stepping it up for the frugal girls lol 😂 so if I paid 700.00 I have a collection of styles not just 2 wigs for the year. But that’s just me
Ok friends, are you a synthetic hair or human hair fan? Or both?! Let me know.

I just want a wig I can slap on an go that's what I'm after The human hair one has bangs no problem it's truly a slap on and go
the synthetic with baby hair just on the forehead area really thick (didn't notice when purchased) it's does it's own thing don't like that part and don't quite know how to style it yet I just brush in with hair doesn't look awful but need to explore what to do with it and I love my natural "baby hair" I don't like the forced look women are sporting (now some look natural and beautiful) because I love this wig and it's getting a lot of complements and questions not that I care what others think but it is nice to hear
I like human hair better
I’m a fan of synthetic pieces… love heat friendly over all!
I love synthetic! I’m lazy and I like to have perfect looking hair so synthetic wins! Plus I can buy 8 to 10 pieces for same price of human so it’s win win!

So true!
Synthetic! All the way. So sick of fading color and frizzier with human hair! And I wore human hair for 14 years so I know!
What is the best thing about synthethic wig that u love and the worst thing for human hair?

Young lady you're speaking abilities are always a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for helping the public with you tips 👍
Synthetic! I'm a hairstylist and yes, I prefer synthetic :)
Awesome!! I'd kill to have a good stylist to cut my pieces here!
I'm a hairstylist too ....synthetic wigs get tangled up so easily tho
@@leighannmcgowan5239 believe or not, human hairs are tangling to, sometimes even more thn synthetic
Your voice sounds amazing. It's so smooth.
I was on the speech team in high school. ;)
Odd comment 🤔
Love that you stocked up, haha!
Denise Sheets where did you buy your synthetic topper from? I have been looking for a while! 😖
Yeah, lol. I guess I jumped in with both feet. I sure hope I like the other ones (I only got one of the same BelleTress, the other two are different)
Definitely synthetic! They always ask me how I keep my curl pattern. Synthetic, duh! I love them, take them out, put them on, add powder ✔️
Add wat powder baby powder ?
Thanks ! For this video -I had waist length hair and started missing it so decided I would try extensions for length yesterday! My stylist wouldn’t stop commenting how much better and how much longer human lasts -but your references/facts are a great debate for it
Human because I have dark purple hair and it's hard to find a good topper in my color with synthetic. I can always dye my topper to match my hair!
For sure!! Oooh, I bet the dark purple is so pretty!
It IS fun to switch it up - not that I do for my day-to-day personally, but it's nice to know I could.
Lori Sheley where do you buy your wigs from? Are they toppers or wigs?
Do u have suggestions on a company for a synthetic topper?
Hi lori can I ask where do you buy the synthetic ones? thank you!
Abi Nyxx That's a really good point about night & day. May be good to have both kinds for those reasons.
If you wash it with baking soda ( check you tube ) or use dry shampoo it eliminates the unnatural shine
Hi Natasha, I see you are from Europe. Could you recommend an online shop you are satisfied with?
Both
For Travel or when I am in a hurry, I use synthetic. Other times, I wear my human hair.
I hope I will meet you one day and give you a hug. I cannot deal with my thinning hair anymore. But hair for women is so personal and so feminine, thank you for sharing and walking me through this process and making it normal.
Come on out to Texas. ;)
Just the thought of carrying some strangers DNA in my head is a no no for me
Yes ans it's a bit unethical. Human hair wigs often come from women who are too poor and have no choice than sell their hair, a symbol of their feminity 😟
but carrying plastic that contaminates and doesn’t degrades easily if you decide to get rid of it?
@@leila_de_hautjardin no its not unethical... lot of people donate willingly and for others you are HELPING THEM in exchange of just their hair! not their blood or kidneys! When ppl can sell their blood! and that's totally ethical, how is hair unethical?
Human hair only contains DNA if the root is attached, witch human hair wigs do not.
@@MsNethrak but they tend to get scammed or paid barely anything 😁
You crazy so funny because it is a big step, but so many have takened it.
Thanks for chiming in!! When you find a great stylist/colorist they are worth their weight in gold, aren't they?
CornerOfHopeAndMane Yes absolutely.
Thanks for the tips! I have had both and am tending to lean to synthetic. My human hair ones really frizz up 😢
Human hair is the very best.
I just never have liked long synthetic wigs. Once past the neck it needs to be human. For short styles they are great.
Human hair toppers, but willing to try synthetic--having a very hot summer & its too hot.
Try Godivas Secret wigs they have toppers
Thank you. God bless
New to this, thanks for the tips. You have made me rethink synthetic hair.
My hair turns light during summer, and dark during winter. I personally haven't had any problems with it. The colour of my hair depends on whether I spend more time outside or inside, I always assumed it's the same with human hair wigs.
I could connect with you, you speak clearly and simple with no gestures. Good luck from Tehran.
Synthetic all the way, I love it so much. I can throw my hair on, run a comb threw it and be done with my hair in under 5 minutes. Plus, it looks so real that I get compliments on my hair weekly and people asking me where I get my hair done.
Gotta love the speed factor!
vwzen81+ WHere do u get your wigs?
i prefer synthetic better because its affordable, even though its basically plastic but there are lots of synthetic wigs that looks like real hair, so yeah, synthetic it is
Hi Lauren! Your updo is so adorable! Can you show us how you do it or reply with what kind of clip you use to keep it up? Thanks!
Any guidance on matting or tangled wigs please?
I used to be anti synthetic until I actually tried a high quality one. Never looking back. The main thing I dislike about real human hair is I never truly know the original texture of the hair, even if the wig seller knows who’s head it came from! and as someone that has always never did their hair, it’s annoying having to basically learn how to do hair lol
I have curly hair and haven't found a curly synthetic topper yet.
Curly is hard, I admit! Most synthetic comes wavy but a looser wave. What is your curl pattern like?
You might want to look into vivica fox wigs and other african american lines like bobbi boss...freetress...sensationnel. there are some super cute high quality curly wigs in many colours ..lengths and styles
GURL you know I’m lazy and I love my synthetic. Hah! So glad the human hair crisis is over by getting a decent synthetic option!
GURL YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS. P.S. Just got back from Rosa's.
Human hair is the very best. It looks more real & last so much longer.
Synthetic is just a tangled mess for me... unless maybe there is some super high-end synthetic hair that I've never tried
Synthetics are awesome but I prefer human mixed wigs
I have many human hair wigs and I find myself throwing my fun long fun colored synthetic wigs more
I'm interested in synthetic, but I've never seen a synthetic silk top. Do those exist?
Synthetic... human hair takes 1 hour plus and over time it gets tangled in all the wrong places...a total waste of money. It's best to buy 3 or 4 synthetics over 1 human hair piece that may look fab but in a short period of time will drive you cracy
The nape especially needs extra love with human hair.
TOTALLY agree!! I buy my heat friendly synthetic wigs in lots of 12 each spring/fall. 6 straight and 6 curly in the same colour. Works so perfectly!!
I am just getting into all of this. But I bought 2 synthetic wigs. Haven’t used them yet. I’m kinda scared to. I just don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve been looking into toppers but they are so expensive. Ugh.
Nekomancer really?? Oh wow. I’ll have to look those up and see. It’s so confusing to me. 😖
Look up Taz'swigcloset she is so amazing with wigs. You will love her, and Heather at cysterwigs.com also Kim all are on youtube. I hope this helps you. Good luck I found them and it helped me so much. ❤
Patty Liort thank you so much!
How long would a synthetic hair last? How often are you finding your needing to purchase another one?
If maintained properly, a lot of people say it can last for about 4-7 months of consecutive wear. But luckily they're much cheaper than HH so if you were in a pinch with your synthetic wearing out, it won't take much of a toll on your bank account!
I have had one for close to a year. (Not a cheap Amazon wig) Don’t over wash or over heat style them . Condition them periodically and they can last a long time. Also depends on wear. Do you wear the same one? Do you wear it all day every day? Longer wigs get worn quicker from brushing and rubbing against fabrics or collars.
Mostly I prefer synthetic wigs, although occasionally I prefer real hair. It depends upon all of the things that you mention.
They do frizz over time, yep! A hot air brush really helps to revive them, if you ever try them out again. :)
Is the wig you are wearing in this video still available?
I'm planning to buy one. What is the difference with the fiber synthetic?
Doesn't synthetic wear out quickly, though? That's what I was told but not sure if it's true.
So how to get a synthetic wig to style to the side you want to part it at
I guess if you can afford quality synthetic hair, it's a fun alternative, but not as much for someone who cannot spend more than $150-$200 every 6 months in hair.
I have never used hair extensions. But I would use only 100% synthetic.
I only wear human hair, now. I spent 13 years with synthetic and it was awful.
Just found your channel, and im interested in the norriko milan mono topper so my question is can it be heat styled?
The Noriko Milan is not HD-fiber (heat-defiant), so you technically should not use heat tools on it. You can add some texture with steaming: ruclips.net/video/Y_gLXHNl4bU/видео.html
Who do u guys us for synthetic hair toppers?? I only have a human hair one. Thank u!
What is the best, inexpensive topper ? I just want a piece to cover top of head. Jon Renau is too expensive. Thank you.
What's your budget?
Plz suggest some good synthetic wigs websites .. really need some good websites..
I LOVED this video, it was really thoughtful and well put together! Thanks for posting this!! I’m a both!
Suran Yoo, What is your favorite brand of synthetic? I'm about to purchase my wife's first wig and think I will definitely go synthetic since she spends nearly an hour everyday styling her natural hair. She's Filipina and her hair looks similar to yours, long and fine and thinning.
Todd
Annapolis MD
Mega Man hi Todd! My favorite brand I’ve seen in the market so far is Jon Renau. But the biggest problem I have with synthetic hair tbh is that none have a super realistic looking scalp (I.e. a silk top). JR is probably the only one I’ve found that I would wear outside the house but it’s still not perfect!
Synthetic...
However..
I just got a top billing hair topper and the darkest is a very dark dark brown..
I have a almost black..
Can you dye it with hair dye?
Hi! Wich wig are you wearing the whole video as in 4:50? I like the updo and the colours
Hi. Would you be interested in reviewing some of our wigs?
Hello I really enjoy your videos. I am thinking about getting a topper, I have thinning around my hairline, I would say about 3 inches from hairline I do have a lot of hair but right in the front you can see my scalp, my hair is about 18 inches, I was wanting your opinion if you prefer toppers with lace front or without lace and which topper you like the best.
So sorry for the delayed reply - I prefer without just because you have to glue or tape the lace down flat. You can get Top Secret (now called Top Style) from places like Wigs by Patti's Pearls.
Where do you buy your synthetic hair?
so helpful. thanks. I want to buy a topper online,is that reliable? what should I pay attention to ?
so glad I discovered you!!! Love your personality and confidence
Glad to have you here!
Can u send me a wig ? I dont know from where to purchase in pakistan.
Sorry, I don't sell wigs.
How would synthetic fare when used with a flat top style?
I'd imagine it would be fine!
I like synthetic better. I also live in Texas.
Can I wear synthetic hair with microlink ?
Both just discovered steam in Ireland it's cold alot
It's cold here, too, today! So sad. Ha.

HD in synthetic is most definitely bc the whole entire purpose is to have easy helper hair, IMHO
How do you fix the wig when u first get it and it’s zigzag
Synthetic! 👍 I enjoyed your video. Thanks!
Could you tell me what wig you are wearing for this video? Thank you!😊
To be honest I’m a frugal girl lol 😂.
