Just want to say thank you for being one of the most authentic people I know. Takes courage to be vulnerable in a space like this, diamonds are only made under pressure. I literally saw one of my school bullies today in the supermarket behind the till, she didn't recognise me at all. When we look at what we've achieved in life despite the start we had, it just goes to show you - your past doesn't have to dictate your future. I'm amazed we're both as kind and gentle as we are despite our lack of role models 😂 you've come a long way, I hope you're proud 😘💜

Oh, my darling young friend! I wish I was near you so that I could hug you for what you experienced as a child! I was bullied all through school, from elementary to high school for being overweight, so I know how damaging to one’s psyche it can get. I can sometimes feel the pain even now at 63 years old. I wish that I could have been there for you. You have come a long way and is beautiful inside and out. Keep being your amazing self. Lots of love from Alabama to you. ❤❤❤

Racism is a sensitive subject. But we must not remain silent.
I am a white woman, but my children are mixed. They have dark skin, dark hair. Both have experienced racism growing up in a primarily white community. It’s been a rough road.
Please never stop sharing your experiences. They hold value to educate the masses.

Thank you T for sharing. As a mixed-race American, I experienced some of this from clear folks and from my own people and in my own family with all of the siblings from the same marriage and Parents. You are never Black enough or in my case Indigenous enough/clear enough. So you spend so much of your life trying to find a place where you fit in. I look like you are racially ambiguous in appearance but the police see us as Black women so we will experience what all Black people experience on those occasions. I identify as a Black Indigenous woman. I am tired of the gatekeepers.

Just discovered your channel. While I undererstand anyone of colour experiences racism, as a dark skin black woman in a racist & colourist world, lighter skinned people generally don't experience the same level of racism. So when we say it's different it really is. It's not that your experience isn't awful but with racist people. The darker the skin the more of an issue they have

Why diminish her trauma? You can relate without invalidating... this is exactly what she was referring to.

Came across your videos initially because of the Loewe puzzle. As a mixed woman in her 50's I can relate as I grew up in the countryside and went to Convent boarding school. My parents had no idea about raising a mixed race child and racism was never discussed (this I feel is a generational issue) you just didn't talk about racism, sexism, etc. as childern were supposed to be seen and not heard. I live semi rural now but my son (white passing and white father) still faced racism at school. They said he was lying about being mixed and he could only be white but then used racist terms to taunt him. Luckily he has mixed best friend and he feels he can be himself with him (the bros!!). I also understand that we shouldn't judge people as we never know what they could have gone through.

You sound like you had a very similar upbringing to mine. Because my parents too, never taught me about racism or anything with the word sex-ism in it 🤣 Infact, i didn't know i was experiencing racism until i grew up and started looking back at the things that were said to me whilst growing up, the way some teachers treated me, the fact that the school didn't handle it when they knew what was happening... Even some of the comments strangers would shout out the window on the walks home from school. In my head, that was 'normal' and it was just people being nasty, never mind racist. I'm glad your son has someone he feels he can be himself around, but keep a close eye on those ignorant kids who think they have any right to belittle or put someone down for being beautifully different... We don't realise the impact it all has until it's too late, and he shouldn't ever be made to feel uncomfortable for being himself... It honestly upsets me when i hear or see children behaving badly towards other kids because it makes me question what goes on at home for children to have such warped views. A simple core value all kids should be taught from a young age is simply kindness. 🤍

No scrunching with gel or anything after the mousse? How awesome is that brush?!? My hair is wavy & I have to work really hard to make it curly. Lots of scrunching. Going to order that brush ASAP! Thank you for this. Your hair is gorgeous, as are you. It makes me sad to know there are such vile children in the world. I’m a teacher & a mum & what I try to always instill is KINDNESS! xx

No scrunching, but i must stress that these are my natual curl patterns so im not entirely sure it will work in terms of curling up your hair more... what it will do is make what you do have more defined 🥰... Thank you so much lovely... 🥰🤍 xxx

Aww, its so sad you went through that. I understand the frustration when people disregard your struggles and try to one up you, especially racially. Colorism and same ethnic racism is probably worse to me than the other. Because it's like, we supposed to be in this shit together, not against each other, smh.
    Anyway, I LOVE your hair.

Its so true. But sadly it seems like everyone finds a reason to put one another against each other, even if youve experienced and gone through the same things. Thank you so much my lovely 🥰🤍 xxx

    Oh my God 😂
This started as a normal blog and now it turned to a session ☺️
I feel what you say I had the same upbringing
But my mom loves my brother more so much that she worships his kids ☺️ but I don’t care and I don’t mind
Also I’ve always thought that people of color are a minority in England and are marginalized

Can't have a blog without a session in there somewhere!!...
      We need some DRAMA!! 😂🤣
So you say you don't care, but do you really not care? Or are you doing a classic Tiana and saying you don't care to convince everyone including yourself that you don't care but deep down you really do? 👀
I think the racism experienced in england is very different to the one experienced in America, over here it's all very undercover and hush hush if people are racist. I literally know a 21 year old racist but you'd never think it if you met her 💀 🫥.. But in america, people will literally get away with killing you because they're racist 😞 x
