That first story is absolutely f*cking terrifying. Just imagine walking out of the bathroom, going to your living room, and seeing all of your childhood friends bleeding out of every hole in their bodies. I would have nightmares every day from that moment onward. Also, its sad that your second channel isn't as popular as your first one. However, keep up with the vids, and don't stop anytime soon!
It's frightening just how long the after effects of datura can last. Days, weeks, months, sometimes years...sometimes for the rest of your life. I can't imagine willingly taking something that would not only produce the most nightmarish trip, but risk changing my already fucked up brain chemistry even further until the day I die.

Datura stories are my fave. Perhaps because as a moderately experienced psychonaut I wouldn’t go anywhere near it so it still feels foreign and fascinating.

I’ve mostly stuck to weed with a dip into a psychedelic every once in a blue moon. Datura stories are super interesting, the drug seems to be everything the anti-drug propaganda in school told us about. But on the other hand it’s so foreign, just like you I never plan to touch the stuff but the stories are wild.
Datura is one of the scary ones for sure. I’m starting to warm up to dmt but I prefer good needlepoint or mushrooms.

One day I took a whole hulk bar and woke up the next day with no memory of the last day and when I woke up I had Olive Garden mints all over my bed. Also on ambien I woke up half naked (bc I was sleeping) trying to open the door to my car in the wee hours of the morning. Shit is gnarlyyyyyy

It's interesting that trips, based on stories I've seen, either turn into a dream or a nightmare. It's like the flip of a coin.
But if you're unlucky, you'll be finding yourself in the worst nightmare of your life
The thing is that delirants and psychedelics greatly enhance what you're perceiving.
Most bad trips happen only because of poor preparation, usually something unpleasant and unexpected happens (like seeing a spider if you're arachnophobic) and the psychedelic compound greatly amplifies the perception of distress, causing a cascade of bad situations.
Same thing with pleasant experiences (like listening to your favourite music), which are amplified beyond euphoric levels.
The trick with psychedelics is to ease into them slowly and to trip only if you're in a calm surprise-free environment and in a pleasant state of mind.
Most of the bad trips you read on erowid are from teenagers and begin with "I was depressed that period".

But psychedelics help PTSD and stuff like bipolar, but not schizophrenia. They literally have ketamine clinics for depression. There's a way to do it if you are struggling mentally.

That shit had me laughing for some reason my humor is broken
So many of these stories are from people who are so young! The first drug I ever did was LSD at 13, and while I don't regret it, looking back it just seems too young, knowing what I know now at 45. I've not done a broad variety of psychotropic, hallucinogens (just LSD, MDMA, psilocybin mushrooms, DMT) and my significant other is a chemist, you can find him in the erowid archives under persistent or original persistent. I was just talking with him about these stories, he's taken datura about a hundred times, but he's always done these things in a controlled manner.
It is true that your brain is going through formations during adolescence, which will last into your mid-twenties, of course I have no comparison to see how I'd be if I'd never used these substances until adulthood. I just know that now I have improved impulse control and can regulate anxiety and how external stressors effect me better now than I could 30 years ago.
Just be careful, and having a babysitter is always a good plan. (I think sometimes I had more fun as the sober sitter, TBH!)

Never had a bad trip, but the only trips that I've had that were uncomfortable and unenjoyable were the times I took them when I really didn't have a strong urge to. You have to really want to in order to get the most out of it. Sounds simple, but sometimes your buddy brings out some tabs while you're out on a boat and you go "ah what the hell." Don't ever go "ah what the hell". Psychedelics demand respect and a reason for consumption. Know yourself, and your set and and setting.

I’m not sure if Datura is even a psychedelic. It seems more like a deliriant to me. All the reports sound almost identical to when I took 25 Benadryl. And no matter what the setting is, you’ll be crawling on your knees with spiders all over you while talking to imaginary people

I've taken Sacred Datura /(Jimsonweed) a couple times in my teens. I grew up in Southern Utah and it grows everywhere there. My first trip was really bad because I didn't do it right. I made a tea with the pods AND the flower (which is very toxic) and ended up in the ER. My throat closed up and I couldn't swallow anything including my own spit. My mother was so freaked out because she thought I was going to die of poisoning. I just remember lying in the hospital bed tripping out seeing spiders dripping down the curtains like rain falling. Apparently, I was having conversations with people that weren't really there.
My second trip I actually did it the right way and just made the tea of the pods alone. I can't really remember the details much now because it was so long ago, but I just remember trying to eat tacos and nothing would go down cuz my throat closed up again and having an intense thirst for water.
I do remember my sisters just sitting on the floor with me wondering what the hell was wrong with me and I was tripping out alone so I couldn't talk with any sense that anyone would understand.
I know the folklore behind it is that witches used to rub Datura on their broomsticks with the belief that it would give them the ability to be able to fly. And Native Americans used it in their Shamanic healing rituals.
After both experiences my vision was really screwed up. My pupils had dilated to their max during my trips and they just never returned back to their original size until like a week after. Everything was really blurry and light made my eyes sensitive and hard to see for about a week after too.
With me being pre-disposed to extreme anxiety, most I can handle is the occasional “Hippy-Flip” on shrooms and Molly. This shit though??? Pretty sure that’d be my one way ticket to a psych hospital 😅

There was a datura plant by the pool in my town but it was uprooted pretty quickly. Last weekend I went apple picking with my dad and there were literally dozens of datura plants all over the pumpkin patch.

I recommend looking into the 44 days of hell, or the case of Junko Furuta. Really fucked up shit. Like, it is not for the feint of heart. No joke, it it extremely horrific and has disturbed even the most hardened of true crime fans. To put it simply without all the brutal details, a group of boys kidnapped a girl and tortured her for 44 days before she died, in which they threw her body in a barrel full of cement. The shit they did to that poor girl is truly horrendous and the her death sounds absolutely agonizing. Again, it is NOT for the feint of heart.

Friendly reminder that if you take anything by mouth DON'T TAKE MORE until you're positive the initial dose has had more than enough time to kick in. That's why it's critical to know how long it takes to kick in. Some of the worst stories I've heard are when someone takes something that takes an hour to kick in, and after half an hour they take more and just get their ass kicked or worse.

Force yourself into a disturbing horror movie on lsd if you want a bad trip that much. Deliriants are a completely different breed to psychedelics and your brain is entirely uncontrollable (delirious), unlike a psych trip. The rational part of your brain just simply isn't there on datura.

I've done lsd, dmt, shrooms and several other versions of LSD. I've never tripped like I did on zipiclone. I was prescribed them as a sleeping aid as I was suffering from insomnia at the time. I realized if I doubled the recommended dosage and fought the initial drowsy feeling I would trip. One night I decided to take 6 tablets and only remember a couple hours of that night. Basically I broke out of my bedroom window for some reason instead of using the front door. The street lights seemed to be trying to communicate with me. They didn't feel threatening but rather curious. I somehow ended up at hungry jacks (Australia's burger king) I worked there several months earlier. I remember walking around the store then I started banging on the drive through windows aggressively until the night manager opened it and tried calmly talking to me while I demanded food. It was around midnight at this point (I went back a few days later and he filled in the gaps) The store closes at 10.30pm but I wouldn't take no for an answer until he eventually gave me a simple cup of water and I acted like I was given a banquet. I don't remember pretty much anything else after getting the water. He reckons I walked in the opposite direction of my house. I woke up in my room and it was totally trashed. My mum was waiting for me in the kitchen when I woke up with breakfast and I could tell straight away she had questions for me. She told me that I was rummaging through my room in the middle of the night looking for something but I couldn't remember what. She let me smoke weed so she assumed I was baked and went back to bed. But that wasn't what she wanted to question me about, she wanted to know why there was dozens of envelopes on the back table. Apparently I stole dozens of people's mail and just left it all on our back yard table. I told her that was not me and somebody was playing games with us. She didn't believe me but let it go.
It was like nothing I've ever experienced and I wouldn't recommend it. I did trip on it a few more times but I would only have 3 pills which would allow me to stay in control but feel amazing at the same time. When my script was done I told the doctor I didn't want to take it anymore and haven't now for almost 12 years. Sometimes before I take shrooms or something I think will shit like that ever happen to me again. It never has thankfully. Worst part is I don't know what I did that night besides what my ex coworker and mother told me. Who knows what I did, that's the really scary part.

I'm gonna say it: the first one sounds very made up. It's too precise, too on the nose with the morbid stuff. It feels like how a horror movie would be written, trying to maximise the macabre. It feels more like an author trying to write a bad trip than an actual report of a bad trip. If we compare with the other datura testimonies we had on this channel, it's lacking the confusion element and is mainly focusing on the morbid element.
