- “We’re in Music City!” says designer Monet Masters of Atlanta-based Forbes + Masters, “What better way to use a bonus room than to turn it into a listening lounge? And since it’s tucked away from the rest of the house, you can really jam out!” With the overwhelming task of taking on the music room in Nashville, the capital of live music, they jumped right in without hesitation-and soon decided the best way to make a statement was to skip the traditional lounge aesthetic (dark and moody) in favor of a light, bright space with serious flavor. that neon yellow blouse is absolutely fantastic!!!!!
Yes can we please have the designers clothes....yes please
When my mom was designing, back in the 70's, she always wallpapered the ceilings. This has a great throw-back vibe that feels comfortable & livable.
A music room is the best place for swivel chairs right next to the low & comfortable level of the precious vinyl collection.
I cannot tell you how relaxed I felt when seeing this room. I could design my needlework while singing and listening to music here. The other rooms are certainly beautiful. This room is where I would be solaced.
At start I thought it would not come out so great but damn!
The room looks so bright and fun! It looks complete but doesnt seem too cluttered and full which is a nice thing so the owners could add their own touches and experiences and memories in it.
Those padded wallpapers would be great for theatre and media rooms!
The result is amazing!
In love with all of the fabrics 😍
Love the wallpaper on the ceiling. Looks like stars. I bet its beautiful at night.
The ceiling paper is to HEAVY . It brings/drags it down and it LOOKS so much SMALLER the room.
I LOVE the way you have the recods on the shelf. NICE
WOW! Beautiful space. So comfortable and relaxing. 💝🥂
I like it a lot. It’s bold yet chill. Differently beautiful
This is the room I would spend the most time in!
That green window shade...ewe. ?
I love all the different textures that was used.....i love it.
Great room for curling up with a good book too. That padded wallpaper and all those textures and comfy chairs screams "reading room" to me:)
That design looked a lot of fun!
I SO wanted to love this room because the designers are darling! I'm so glad others appreciate it. Clearly it is tasteful, just not mine. I do like that white "suede" wallpaper.
Incredible!
I like the idea and color of the wallpaper, but there is a clear "stripe" in the design of it that doesn't match up when the columns taper. The OCD part of me would become stressed by this.
Beautifully designed ladies!
I love this room but my ocd wants me to push that upper vinyl shelf in the middle to line up with the window. Lol
Yes!👏👏👏
Way cool
Çok beğendim harika duruyor 😍
The completely skewed placement of the storage cabinet in relation to the windows above, or to the vertical partitions in the rack bellow, looks either very contrived or just plain sloppy bad design.. The cabinets are cools looking, but there is no aesthetic or functional purpose for the position of the top tier, as is now, or for the position of the objects placed upon it or next to it. IThe cabinet's top tier could very well be placed asymmetrically to the center of the windows, but still fit within the grid - it would look more coherent to the design. Don't feel that this pattern wallpaper does much for the room either, or in relation to the other wallpaper. This is definitively not my favorite room design in this Nashville dream house.
It was disappointing seeing the designer do all the talking about staining instead of letting the carpenter explain his own craft.
well it was the designer's vision that was being executed. the carpenter wouldn’t even be doing it without that.
@@phDST1913 Designers need to respect the tradesmen. We are losing the labor class I in the U.S. It doesn't pay well to be a craftsman if society has no respect for those who do the labor and are expert in their field. It was a blatant sign of disrespect and seemed incredibly egotistical of the designer. It was a disappointing moment in the video.
It was her father and clearly she was helping and knew her father's business. She is also a craftsperson.
@@agingintobeauty I deeply respect your concern for the integrity of the trade and as a daughter for a contractor/cabinet maker I have the upmost respect for tradesmen. As for my speaking roll in the video...I created the stain and hand stained every inch of the piece, as well as helped to build and construct. This is actually my favorite part of doing interior design. I have been building long before I started designing. We as designers certainly do our best to propose custom built pieces over cheap casegoods. We value the work of all those whom work to create our visions and lean on them for their input and added creativity and ensure that they are well paid to do so.
@@taviaforbes4383 How cool to know you did the work!
Too too much
