I've been using Reaper for over a decade and it never ceases to amaze me with features like this that I had no idea existed. Thanks for making all of these informative tutorial videos!
Wow!! I love the flat color scheme you have there, Kenny. Also, your videos ALWAYS teach me something new about Reaper. If it weren't for your videos, I may have given up on the best damn DAW that's out there. Thanks again, KG!! >M
This is a very cool feature that I use for my guitar amps, to show the setting, which being a Mesa Mark series, there's so many options its nice to document if I want go back to it. That or simply add the jpg to the project folder.
I use a console with Reaper so I can't just add tracks to use for infographics as it messes up the channel correlation with the console. I prefer to use Regions for section differentiation. However, the tip on placing images in empty items is a very good one. It seems to make sense to create workflow icons in a photo editor and have a library of them. Thanks Kenny.
Is there a way to lock that first track in place - the one with song sections, so that it stays at the top of the screen when scrolling down? That could make this even more useful.
This is good to know especialy using Hardware insterts and you want to remember what setting you use on your hardware devices. I just wondering if you can use more than one picture?
That's a great tip, thank you very much. One question, though, how do I pull my timeline into the negative like you do in the video? Try as I might, it doesn't work.
Is there some other way to add some description or notes to the whole project like chord progression would be great to have as a "memo" inside the Reaper
besides using the dedicated Project notes you can store your notes in an empty item on an empty track like Kenny does with his arrangement section notes
Very useful for us old folks whose eyesight is not what it used to be - thanks Kenny!!
This ois by far one of my favorite features in REAPER!

Oh wow, I love this! It appeals to my OCD tendency to have everything organised and colourful. Really easy to do and really effective. Thanks, Kenny!
Nice!! - the song structure idea is very cool~

That's an awesome use case!
did not know you can use this, all my tracks will be cat pictures now haha. thanks !!!
That is just brilliant... Definitely doing this from now on! Thanks Kenny!

Super helpful, i'm forever forgetting what pedals/amp I used when I return to a song in reaper, now I'll know : )
Thanks Kenny.
Actually, I use this to put an image on my backing tracks to visually see which one is loaded.
This is so helpful to make quick storyboards for animation along side the audio. DANG!
Thank you Kenny !!
I like this music... A LOT!

@@REAPERMania Woa! Many thank for sharing.
This is awesome! Especially for drum mics
Thnx Kenny 😉🎼👍🏽
Awesome... My old eyes really appreciate this lesson -- kudos!
Game changer! Thanks Kenny!
You deserve way more likes, my friend!

Not yet.

Use as many as you want.
@@REAPERMania Cool that's what I wanted to know
Excellent tips!
All my tracks will be Shrek now. There is no going back
If I knew this was possible then I definitely forgot.

I think you can also use track notes.
What does that do to the size of the project, with all those pictures added.. ? Like the idea though.
REAPER only stores textual data in the project file, a couple of more bytes of image file paths won't affect the size drastically
@@ARE_YOU_SICK_OF_YT_CENSORSHIP Thank you
It would be great if any track could be locked in view. So it would stay on top even when scrolling up and down.
Too many frills for me, but I have some clients for whom that might reduce some of the endless explaining.
I pleced my photo on every track
All these commercials that promote these cord packs and different things are just sad.
👍🏻👍🏻
I wonder are those files automatically copied into Project directory, or do they "magically disappear" when musician brings their project to mix? :D
Make sure you choose "Copy media to project path" in the project settings and you should be fine.
Hi. How do you make the ruler go into negative numbers?
How did you make it go straight to your picture folder?
POW!!
Wait...so Reaper doesn't include an image editor like Photoshop?? Lame! *irony* 😄 Joking aside, great video, thanks for sharing!
