Haven't been a fan of disney for a while. But Im glad that this one is doing well. Hope they learn from this much needed success.
Imagine not wanting to see a Pixar film. Your life must suck, and your heart must be freezing cold.
I’m glad Pixar is back. Hopefully those anti Disney trolls can shut up for a few months lol.
I have hated how Disney has destroyed alot of the classic IP. But I'm glad Inside Out is doing good. My family didn't really like the 1st one. Maybe Disney will learn a lesson from this much needed success.
The Disney trolls are pummeling “The Acolyte” right now. Okay, they can have that series. Fine-whatever. But Disney is king at the movie box office.
Deadpool and Wolverine will be another huge hit.....
Moana 2 too ...Mufasa too...
Disney is killing it this year
Those trolls are not movie fans, movie fans still want disney to succeed because we know that theaters will shut down if disney stopped making movies.
I always enjoy these box office breakdown videos. Thank you, James. Have a good week.
2:44 The reason Jodie Comer sounds that way is because she got to listen to 30 minutes of audio of the real person. Her dialect coach told her that the real person's accent was very unique and "singular to her". They didn't know a lot about her background or where she was from. She tried to get the accent as close to real life as she could.
Was just going to point that out. Apparently it was so spot on that when Jeff Nichols first heard audio of her accent it took him 4 or 5 seconds to realize it wasn't actually the real-life Kathy.
But every note I’ve read about it is discordant, it hasn’t seemed to work for anyone.
it worked for me. @@amcaesar
The look on James’ face after he read the synopsis for Thelma😂😂😂
You gotta see Thelma man, beautiful and hilarious movie
Thanks for the Scott Galloway interview recommendation! I am very curious to see how Kinds of Kindness does in wider release. And it would be great if Jesse Plemmons got award recognition, just curious how that would work for an anthology.
Great video as always! Personally looking forward to A Quiet Place: Day One on the 28th myself. Keep it up.
I thought Thelma was pretty good. Kind of a cute movie with an old lady on a mission to get money back from scammers
Excellent movie getting what it deserves.
You gotta see “Kill” (2024), James. Check out its trailer. That has a chance of breaking into my Top Ten of 2024.
Your reaction to the female actresses voice is mine to Josie Foster💚🇬🇧🌱 I'm looking forward to catching that biker movie soon...
Saw it with my family today and it was really good. You may actually enjoy it.
Ever thought of doing a top ten westerns video? 💚🇬🇧🌱
neither Deadline or Hollywood Reporter are box office "experts"... they're reporters with heavy input from studio press releases and not enough objectivity.
First! have a great day James :))
I heard they ripped off the concept.
“Inside Out 2” is my #3 (so far). I had “The Bikeriders” on my Tentative Top Ten list, but removed it upon further review:
👑#1. Dune: Part Two
🥈#2. Hit Man
🥉#3. Inside Out 2
#4. Love Lies Bleeding
#5. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
#6. Challengers
#7. Late Night with the Devil
#8. Abigail
#9. Civil War
#10. Last Stop in Yuma County
Hitman #2 overall??? Whoa.
Pixar sadly had lay offs a couple years ago. They desperately needed a win especially after the animation division’s Strange World took a historic bomb.
That wasn't Pixar that was Disney Animation
@@barbenheimer736 Yes. But if you read my post closely, you’d realize that Pixar is still part of the animation division. Disney like any other corporation doesn’t just mis-allocate wealth but debt. 💸 Pixar is not responsible for debt but doesn’t mean anything to a corporation. To quote Gordon Gecko in Wall Street, “I ruined your father’s company because it was wrecksble!”
Kids are officially out of school and it's showing at the box office. We saw Bikeriders. It was good, but nothing great. Next week we're passing up Quiet Place Day One for Horizon. THEN following week Quiet Place. July looks to be a piss poor movie month.
Whatchu talking about Willis? Longlegs and Maxxxine look great!
