  • Chris Burkard is an accomplished explorer, photographer, creative director, speaker, and author. I’ve known Chris for over ten years. His first book "The California Surf Project" caught my eye because it was so fresh and alive. I then invited him on Advancing Your Photography, and found his artistic advice and his ability to capture moments were spot on. It’s no wonder he has over three million followers on Instagram, it seems we can’t get enough of him.

Chris is really inspired mm and other young photographers Lots. Does he said he use WHITE BALANCE locally like warm and cold in differ area for depth or he said different photos have different temperature? Does he said highlight the area use different temperature cold and warm in different highlight area?

What a beautiful image and the explanations make so much sense, great interview! I was wondering, about the image, the horizon ever so slightly seems to slant left down, is that just how the image is on the video or was that purposely left by choice because the overall image actually is quite balanced leaving it like that, or perhaps Chris left it that way to add stylistic drama or effect, or just something not to get caught all up in and say to yourself, I like it better the way it is? Just something I saw and wondered about.

Having tons of film cameras behind in video frame never means that some one is very good photographer, and everyone must follow their words. Thanks,
