Last time I played this song was when we had the dishonorable withdraw from Afghanistan. This Incredible song / album came out almost 40 years ago........ half of my life time, we've all known some heroes, some lived, others died honorably and this song is for them.

Perdí a mi hermano por cáncer cuando solo tenía 7 años, él siempre estaba conmigo cuando estaba triste porque mis padres estaban peleando o porque me hacían bullying en la escuela, recuerdo abrazarle cuando estaba ya muy débil y él sabiendo q pronto se iba a morir me prometió q siempre iba a estar conmigo cuando esté triste, al día siguiente me informaron de q mi hermano había muerto.
La primera vez q escuché esta canción me acordé de mi hermano y me puse a llorar. Es una canción hermosa ❤❤❤

This is one of my favorites, but it's hard to listen to. It always reminds me of my late step-father who fought in the US Navy in WII. He was the greatest man I ever knew.

I played this one on my way home from my job. It reminds me of a fighter, warrior, and someone who loved me unconditionally, my adopted mother.
At the time I didn't know she was fighting Stage IV breast Cancer. Within a week I found out my cousin also had Stage III. Cousin survived, adopted mother went home to the land of the brave. Before she passed I mentioned this one to her, and she loved it, just because of the lyrics.
If I ever get to have a memorial service for her, this one will definitely be played.
RIP mama. Gone but never forgotten.
