LAST OF US FANS THERE IS A SPOILER, kinda spoiler, at 57:00 DO NOT LISTEN IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAY TLOU 2!
Sorry for all the censorship! RUclips is sheisty! We had to go through this and censor like 4 times. Although we don't stand for Censorship in any way, sometimes the machine is too powerful. Love you all!
@@Inquiringmind0 they flagged ours for language, yes.
The problem I have with youtube Censorship is it seems so dam random. If they are going to do that, they should have set rules everyone should have to follow all the time. Not the way it is now and you content creators need to guess at what you can and can not do. And sometimes you can do it and sometimes you can't.
Fo example, I am pretty sure you guys don't show boobs right? I just watched three reactions to GoT's the past week were they had multiple pairs of boobs of all shapes and sizes, dancing and jiggling the entire episode. Now, I am not one to complain about anytime I see the female form in all it's glory, and I was pleasantly surprised at this.....development, 😅but if they can do it, everyone should be able to do it.
I was on my way to complain about this very thing there's so much inconsistencies with RUclips.
@@TheOctobersReact WHAT THE (**&$*%&$@
no idea what you’re on about
This one season performance as the Red Viper made Pedro Pascal's entire career, pretty awesome. I remember everyone who had read the books was waiting on the casting for Oberyn because he's a beloved book character and when Pedro was announced everyone was like, "who?" But nobody is wondering who he is these days.
You're absolutely correct 💯
For you. A lot of people saw narcos. Narcos was the first "serious" netflix original, back when there were less than 20.
@@prico3358yep.
@@prico3358This season of GoT came out before Narcos
This was my first experience with him and even though he’s been acting for a long time. Fell in love immediately. And then I find out he’s a lovable goofball in real life and now I love him even more ❤
Pedro learned his lesson. He wears a helmet on The Mandalorian.
And even made of Beskar 😂
@fatihkaya870 this is the way.
😂
🤣🤣🤣
😭😭😭
In case you're wondering, the reason Oberyn wanted a confession was that he wanted Dorne to go to war with the Lannisters over the death of her sister and her children, but his brother (the ruler of Dorne) said they would only do so if Tywin actually confessed to being responsible for the deaths. So Oberyn wanted the mountain to confess before he died and say that Tywin ordered him to do it so that they could go to war with Tywin. Unfortunately, things didn't work out.
That gives me some closure.. oberyn was amazing.
@@DJsDomain_Exacto por eso oberyn keria la confecion😊 pero la mayoria de la gente dise q murio por arrogante cosa q esta equivocada
The scene between Tyrion and Oberyn in the former's cell is an acting masterpiece.
It’s PERFECTION
“He’s just a baby” breaks me every time!! 😢
and this was shot on pascal's first day as Oberyn !
@@RielMyricyne just incredible!!
It always brings tears to my eyes when Oberin says "thats not a monster, thats just a baby" he saw Tyrion as just another baby unlike everyone else who was saying he was a monster.
Mine too...
And Tyrion has never really had that "confirmation" before...; that he's just a regular person.
A person who's been mistreated by his family, his entire life.
"He was just a baby"
"He's just a person"
Not a monster and NOT he's fault!
Don't EVER apologize for being "too enthusiastic" over this show! I'm not sure that's even possible! 🤣 I love y'all! Y'all are mad funny, and your chemistry is next level.
Mr Octobers: Lets gooo
Ms Octobers: Why are you "let's going"??
😂
The look on Tyrion's face when Oberyn says, "That's not a monster; that's just a baby" is one of the best parts of the series for me. It's like he's been waiting for someone to say that his entire life.
In a previous episode Tywin asked Varys if one of his little birds could get into Mareen to deliver a message. So no, it's isn't Varys who is trying to divide Jorah and Dany.
If you remember the last small council meeting when Tywin told Lord Tyrell to fetch his pen and quill it was to right the letter sent to Dany to stir trouble
ser alliser absolutely is trolling jon when he calls him lord snow. he’s mocking him for being a bastard. idk if yall know already, but thorne hates jon because thorne fought for the targaryens during robert’s rebellion and that’s why he’s at the wall now
Well isn't that ironic lol.
Damn Mrs October I feel you so deeply girl. "I feel like no ones gonna fight for him" - In that scene with Tyrion and Bronn the second you had tears in your eyes I immediately had tears in my eyes! It's such a heart breaker, the boundaries of that friendship.
i know that was so heartbreaking 💔
One of the few times Little Finger actually spoke the truth... "his mother should have" (hit Robyn).
Yeah,I LOVED that scene so much. LOL. Got to give credit to the young actor portraying that character,he's a very GOOD actor.
But then again if she raised him better and not to be a spoiled brat, he would never have needed to get smacked. The reason he is the way he is, is because she raised him telling him he’s the most important person ever who can do whatever he wants.
she did. She slapped him with her tits
@@TheSofkujepanenand the father innocent, as always
"he had the dub!" Literally what everyone says afterwards.
These two episodes took us to the highest high and the lowest low in one fell swoop…
_I will be your champion…_
"Why are you let's-going?"... 😂
Ps. You've Met Lord Royce's son Waymar in the very first scene of the show.
Remember that Nights Watch Ranger who was killed by White Walker in the very first scene of the show, The one leading them?? Yeah, That was him!
in the books, they make it more logical why oberyn was doing what he was doing. it wasn't just emotions, he also needed the mountain to confess he acted on tywin's orders so that he could bring dorne to war with the lannisters, he REALLY needs that confession. also, he used poison on his spear, and he was sure the mountain was done for, and thought he had time to extract the confession.
i dont get this rules, they must be more specific, should mountain rush to hi corner and cat in half everyone ? if it was gladiator arena oberyn is hoplomachus they carry small shield and dagger in case if they lost spear, oberyn lost spear he pretty much dead there
Arya was laughing at the Hound, who having gone through all that crap, wouldn't get the payment he wanted.
In fact I don't see why not. she's still related to Robyn.
Also I think she laughed cause it’s just ironic that she has come so close again to her family that she was so close and it slips away again so all she can do it laugh
First time i saw "that scene," I knew that Oberyn would die, as soon as the camera gave a momentary half focus shot on the mountain's hand!
LOVED your reaction to the fight between the-MOUNTAIN and the -VIPER-heart-felt.I was shocked when I first saw that scene too. Wanted ole dude to stop talking and just kill the Mountain !!! LOL.
Remember in the last episode when Tywin asked Varys if "his little birds can find their way into Mereen? ". The pardon was written by Twyin. Remember when he asked Mace Tyrell to "fetch my quill and ink"
Also the wax seal on the paper had the imprint of the Hand of the King.
Yeah, watching Oberyn's head bust open was tough, especially with the fight won.
Great reactions, as always.
Things I love about Ep 8
•Dany not looking in Jorah’s eyes when she’s banishing him. Makes it much more serious and heartbreaking.
•The weather in the Ramsay Bolton scene. Idk I love a good windy day and it just makes it so natural. And the banners were flying proudly
•Tyrion’s convo with Jaime about their cousin. A completely “pointless” conversation. Ordinary, real, as death looms
over him. Very nice.
•Ellaria Sand’s screams when Oberyn died. The actress did that
*Im sure you guys already know but nobody else in the Eyrie know that Sansa is Sansa. Her name is Alayne, niece of Littlefinger. Even in these episodes the Eyrie’s council said that her secret is safe with them. The guards outside don’t know.
I live for Mrs. October’s reactions. We are all her: so invested and sympathetic and fighting back tears (while her man over here: “you gotta give to Ser Gregor, though…” 👀 lol)
Love them both.
❤️ you
The pardon was a copy provided by Tywin. A couple of episodes earlier the small council discussed the threat Danni and her councilors. Tywin asked for paper and sealed the letter with Baratheon seal. He did it to expose Jorah,
Tywin sent the letter pardoning Jorah using Robert Baratheon's seal.
Also Oberyn needed a confession from The Mountain so Dorne could declare war against Kings Landing
I was binging game of thrones late into the night, I fell asleep and woke up to hear screaming at the end of the fight "WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST MISS!!??" this episode got me back into GoT originally. I needed a rewatch its great watching you guys go through the motions!
"Yeah! Because her and Jon hit that lagoon action!" --died 100%
That duel was off the hook. Made us all almost think the Viper has won and then reverse it in the most graphic way. Great episode.
Oh man, the Mountain & the Viper!
It wasn't pride or anything.the viper was there for the confession.he wasn't there to free tyrion.and he considered the mountain dead the first time his poison spear cut him.he wanted that confession so he could go after tywin.
oberyn lost when he lost spear, in gladiator arena you cant lose weapon hold the fight and quick visit blacksmith for another one lol, mauntain should cat him off from corner and kill anyone who would try to throw spear
@RadiantVibe8 this isn't gladiator rules.its trial by combat.different set of rules.
@@baronhomer1 so Mauntain should wait for another spear or he can chop vipers corner ? block him to pass there like goal keeper ? what oberyn can do get to the audience and make circle thrue town sneak to his squire, its trial by combat lets get some crossbows hidden in audience so he can pick up later)
This is my second comment, haha. Everyone has their personal take on the worst Game Of Thrones moment that tore their heart out... The Mountain and the Viper was it for me. I kept thinking about that for days after. I wanted justice to be served so badly, and after his talk with Tyrion in the dungeon, we see Oberyn Martell as being a genuinely good person in that world; “That’s not a monster, I told Cersei. That’s just a baby...” I wanted so much more from Oberyn. Even though he had the fight won, his vengeance blinded him and his inability to just end it was his ultimate downfall. Just like what Bronn told Tyrion: "Maybe I could take him. Dance around until he's so tired of hacking at me he drops his sword, get him off his feet somehow... but one misstep, and I'm dead." And that's what happened. EXCELLENT reaction. You guys are awesome. Looking forward to the next one.
this is the last time the mountain is recast, don’t gotta worry about that anymore
"Seven blessins to ya 🤠" 😂😂😂 y'all funny asf
Stage 1 of procrastination : watching TV series.
Stage 2 : watching other people watching TV series.
hahaha love this
Did you notice the boy polishing Oberyn's spear before the fight? And no that wasn't a metaphor.
😂
man i thought he was sharping it up, i now question everything lol
He was Oberyn before he was ever Joel
I thought the same thing 😂
yall are right but i watched this in the wrong order lol
@@TheOctobersReact I love your GOT reaction 😀
Hubris... Indira Varma's scream was perfect!
Arya thought it was hilarious how much shit the hound did too get his payday by handing her over and he’s not getting a dime because as far as they know there’s no one there that would pay him
This entry is about to be a banger I haven't even watched 10 seconds and already laughing
The mountain and the viper is probably my favorite fight in the books and the show. It was really different but they did it pretty good justice.
22:46 "She's like a husky" made me laugh harder than it should have.
😂😂😂😂 mrs o too when she was editing
Well Oberyn wanted to hear a confession from the mountain before dying so that Tywin could be guilty for the murder of his family members.
Never apologize for being excited or super into a show/ movie we all experienced that with game of thrones and its good seeing you guys r enjoying it
This. This is my favourite moment from the show - Arya bursting out laughing when they find out Lysa is dead. Its so pure.
An emotional couple of episodes for Mrs October 😊
Great reactions as per 👍🏼
Don’t apologize for being too enthusiastic about this show. That’s how we all were first time around and why we all relate to you guys!
“It’s complicated” hahaha made me lol. GoT is wild. I’m enjoying rewatching the show through your videos and yes… my mind was always flustered after episodes as well 😂
Man, this episode hit me in the feels on so many levels- Tyrion and Oberyn's scene, Oberyn's death, Jorah's exile. So much good stuff (in terms of story, not the actual events).
Mr. October ready to talk about it and Mrs. is SHOOK 😂😂😂😂 this one is shocking for the manner of his death, but there is so much dread from the moment he drinks, then showing off before starting; it is expected for him to die. So when it seems that he wins, that is almost more shocking. But then he starts up again, and loses it for himself and Tyrion. Ugh 😢 bye Pedro. This show introduced me to him and I've been a huge fan of his work ever since.
Edit:
NO SUCH THING AS TOO ENTHUSIASTIC!!! Not when it comes to this show. Believe us, we as fans could talk about it forever even after seeing it many times! Also, as a fan of you both, I am thrilled to hear all your spirited conversation afterward!
i feel like i can talk game of thrones for hours and i will lol
Jorah is from Westeros, yes. He is from Bear Island which is a Northern Island off the west coast. For some reason he lost his Northern accent though 😂
The Andals were originally from Essos but they sailed over to Westeros thousands of years ago. The dothraki call Jorah "the Andal" because they think all men from Westeros are Andals but he is actually descended from the First Men.
one of the most memorable scenes in the entire show, even though ive seen this show over 15 times, im still on the edge of my seat during both episodes, season 4 is great, lovely reaction
Even the red wedding didn't make me go no no noooo as hard as the ending of this episode.
Jorah "the Andal" is a nickname given to jorah in Essos by essos people. In reality jorah is a northman mormont from bear island. He is decended from the first men, not the andals.
Arya laughing at The Hounds misfortune.😂
11:28 😂😂😂😂😂😅
14:07 such an important conversation. Glad yall included it. You learn a lot of Dany’s philosophy here.
Long time watching, first time commenting!
I just want to say I'm a big fan of the channel and thank you guys for sharing your game of thrones experience. I could never get my friends into the show becase they thought it ws just another Lord of Rings or Harry Potter type of kids show... So its been a lot of fun re-watching the show with you guys. I usually catch yo guys towards the end of the day when I'm finished with everything I can finally kick back and smoke and just chill out and fine some stuf to watch on youtube and when I see you guys in my feed I gotta click lol. Anyways thanks again, Im sending the good vibes your way!!! ✌✨✨
appreciate you so much! thanks for watching
He wanted the Mountain to say that Tywin gave the order.
50:50
Orson represents “the gods” and we the people are the beetles.
You should have uploaded the Sherman meme next to Mrs. October 😂😂 utter shock man
you can see just before the fight happens someone is putting poison on oberyns spear
What's the biggest lie in GoT? Theon's "he will be just and fair with you like has been with me" or Pycelle's "The most noble child the gods ever put on this good earth"?
Lysa's "Jon Arryn was murdered by the Lannisters."
what a crazy episode remember freaking out after lmao
Robin would inherit. He will be Lord of the Vale. But Petyr would be his regent until he comes of age.
But there is a huge revelation here about a mystery that began in the first episode.
Oberyn didn't just want to kill The Mountain. He was pointing VERY clearly at Tywin Lannister and asking "WHO GAVE YOU THE ORDER?!!!!" That was 100% absolutely necessary for his plan for the Mountain to tell the entirety of King's Landing this so he could exact his full revenge for Elia Martell and her children.
It was nothing to do with pride. He was clearly the better fighter, the Mountain had ZERO chance against Oberyn in terms of fighting skill, but he had absolutely no need to prove it. If it had been pride he'd have simply cut his neck while he was laying on the ground after first stabbing him.
But instead he went "no... no... you can't die yet. You haven't confessed!" He needed everyone to hear that Tywin was responsible, as like he'd said before, he came to the perfect place for justice. The real problem other than The Mountain being a poorly cast actor and giving as few speaking lines as possible, is that Oberyn got too emotional/angry at the end, which led him to make his mistake. He needed to yell to make sure everyone knew, but he had to be absolutely ready for ANYTHING The Mountain could possibly do.
Hard to blame him though, as nobody in our entire world had seen someone like this Mountain in GoT, let alone the people within the world of GoT, so to think he had definitely won wasn't exactly out-of-line when you consider anyone else in existence.
If you watch closely just before the fight, Oberyn’s sword is being prepared: not just polished, but treated with Poison (he is, after all the Red Viper). So the moment The Mountain receives Oberyn’s slashes, he will eventually succumb to the poison in his wounds.
So essentially, Oberyn defeated The Mountain; he just didn’t get to walk away & live afterwards.
Your reactions during Little Finger kissing Sansa, gold!! LOL
Honestly guys, your GOT reactions are the best. I’ve seen others but I love yours. You care, and you pick up on a lot and you totally miss other stuff haha!
I also really appreciate your episode convo and analysis. I’m not here for the GOT rewatch, what’s interesting is other people’s (Your) impressions of the story/show.
& 7 Blessings to You Too! One of the biggest upsets in GoT history. If only Oberyn had just finished the job. 🤦🏿♂️
… 😂😂 Also… I’m sorry Mr . October be having me ROLLING. Mrs October was traumatized crying after this episode, & Mr . October looked right at her & then went into the review. 😂😂I love yall
That story parallels what Oberon was about to experience.
New sub here, great job guys. You’re dynamic together is fantastic
thank you hunter! welcome!
I always quote that. “A lot of people give up on the gravy. You cannot give up on the gravy.”
Her "Seven Blessings to you" was cute! 🤣
I cant believe littlefinger got you guys. In hindsight, you could see it a mile away.
this episode was the first time i ever took a few days' break from binging Game of Thrones after what happened to The Viper. i couldnt stand the shock! 😂 this show and the writers are brutal
To be fair all the brutal moments are straight from the books so it's really the author of the books who is the brutal one ...
LF actually didn't know Lisa was watching the kiss. It's more obvious in the books, but still. He was really creepily obsessed with Catelyn, and when he saw Sansa building that snow castle, she reminded him of Catelyn when she was young. So he didn't plan that kiss and didn't plan to kill Lisa that soon. Overall he is disgusting
I love rewatching Game of thrones through your eyes, when we watched this years ago we would speculate and think about what's happening next, best show ever, I waited until the end of S5 before reading the books. We were really invested in this show, watching you and listening to your reactions is just soooo good.
In a past episode, when they talked about jorah not reporting anymore, Tywin said something about dealing with that, then asked for his paper & quill.
He resent the document with instructions to give it to Sir Barristan Selmy, knowing he would show Dany.
Everyone is - rightfully - talking about Oberyn, but here's a fun fact for y'all:
Even after everything, even in the book where their friendship is less developed and Bronn turns Tyrion down much more bluntly... it's still made pretty clear that he genuinely liked and cared about him. Lollys eventually has a son (born after she marries Bronn, but a product of being r*ped during the riot in Kings Landing) and Bronn names the boy Tyrion. Cersei is pissssed 😂
Never apologize for being excited and enthusiastic about this show and the storylines. We were/are just the same, and love to see it. Love to relive the way we felt the first we watched the show. (You just have the benefit of not having to wait and agonize for the next episode/season. 😆)
slowly starting to be my favorite youtube channel
Bron pretty much exactly described the fight vs The Mountain.
Why do I hear the viper’s speech and think of the princess bride? 😂
I just heard a clip of Diego Montoya earlier. He and Pedro have a similar tone and rhythm in their delivery in their respective character roles.
Every time I see oberyn stabb the mountain and start talking I think of Nate Diaz pointing at Leon Edwards
FACTS! good reference!
Stockton, what! *nate diaz voice*
To be fair, Mrs. October did have an accent for the intro. It was just a southern one instead of a Game of Thrones one.
I remember the entire emotional rollercoaster reading the books. Oberyn agreeing to be Tyrion’s championed left me pumped, energized, feeling downright triumphant even, and eager to get to the main event. And then I felt my stomach drop into the abyss as Tyrion watched his last hope for salvation get brutally snuffed out under the Mountain’s guantlets. I’m not a fan of getting my spirit repeatedly crushed, but it makes me continually appreciate how masterful a storyteller GRRM is.
Love you guys! Glad to see you hyped!
Poor Oberyn... he was doing so well, but just had to go all Inigo Montoya on the Mountain and it backfired.
I watched this years ago way before Last of Us came out so this is where I knew him from first. The reason he was taunting the mountain though wasn’t just pride, he was trying to get the mountain to say that Tywin had been the one who had him kill Elia Martell and her kids. He wanted justification to go after Tywin too. Don’t apologize for being animated, this was traumatic for all of us when we first saw it.
Damn can’t wait to watch this later 🔥🔥
In one of Theon's chapters Ramsey came back from a hunt, and he was laughing. With most people, laughing would mean the laugher was in a good mood, but Theon knew with Ramsey, that was not always the case. A laughing Ramsey could be as dangerous as a scowling Ramsey. I had a boss some years ago who had a bright smile and was quick to laugh, but smile rarely reached her eyes. Not saying she was a Ramsey, but you never knew where you stood with her. When she fired people she would actually glow. If she wanted to see you in her office, it could be literary to share a joke, or to fire you. You just never knew.
Bolton's house sigil is the Flayed Man on the X. It is the thing that they strapped Reek to, to torture him. Just FYI as you think about Ramsey and the Bolton's in general.
Gawd, you two are so awesome. Really enjoy your reactions.
Omg that intro. Already made my day
The beatles story Tyrion tells is the origin story of how he got so smart or how it all started for him. His logical mind awoke as a kid.
Great catch! Lord Snow is totally a troll... Jon is high born like a lord, but as a bastard can't be lord of anything, so it's definitely a jab at him.
"Lord Tyrell, be a good man, fetch my quill and paper." Tywin had Varys send a copy of the pardon Jorah got from Robert in order to sew discourse amongst Daenerys' team. It worked for sure. Can't blame her for her reaction...I mean, WE see he's dedicated to her, but to her not only did he betray her, and not only did he never confess, but his actions inadvertently lead to the death of her son and husband.
R.I.P. Oberyn. I love Last of Us, and Joel is a dude for sure, but Oberyn is also a badass and incredible character. The show doesn't do a great job explaining his motivations with the Mountain, but Oberyn wanted a reason to go to war with the Lannister to avenge his sister. A confession from Clegane would have given him the ammo to bring Dorn into that war against Tywin. Another cool thing about Pedro in this one, he was one of the few (major) characters that knew exactly how he was going to go out in the show and he was pretty stoked to play the character. The very first scene they shot with him on set was that monolog with Tyrion in the cell...powerful stuff and incredible acting.
Don't ever be feel bad about being too excited about the show...we all know exactly what you're going through 🙂
Arya was laughing because The Hound wouldn't be able to collect the ransom for bringing Arya. lol
This fight is mind blowing. 👀
45:03 "Lets Go!!" lmfao
Pedro Pascal deserves an Emmy for his scene in the dungeon with Tyrion. As much as Peter Dinklage deserved his for the trial scene. I LOVE that scene. Its a top 5 scene for me.
The Mountain was recast twice - the guy in these episodes, Thor Bjornsson, plays him for the balance of the show. Fun fact, he's a professional strongman and has won numerous titles including World's Strongest Man in 2018.
