Thanks for these old classics better actors plots than today's, movies
All the great elements... fog, organ music, secret passages. A great "Who-Done-It". Thanks for another terrific movie!!
I love the classics, murder my sweet, too late for tears, terror street , cornered, the dark corner. So many great movies from that time. Thanks for sharing.
Okay ... That's it ... I've thoroughly enjoyed this film 3 times and I'm in love with (the memory of) Sharon Douglas ❤ The plot of "Fog Island" was brought to life by one outstanding cast -- Music was perfectly adapted to the story
I love your channel. Thank you for taking the time to upload these wonderful old films.
If you see a movie has George Zucco and/or Lionel Atwill, you know it's going to be good (like "The Black Raven"). This is a great film. Great cinematography, great acting, especially by Zucco, great script. What more could you ask for 68 minutes?
+steve cannon A couple of cold beers would do nicely steveo.
actors are dependent on script and this script stinks.

Spectacular! Bravo! Love these FANTASTIC, THRILLER, MYSTERIES
Wow! I’m a long time Sherlock Holmes fan and I recognize George Atwill from the Hound of the Baskervilles, where he played Dr. Mortimer, and also Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon where he played Dr. Moriarty, and then also George Zucco from Sherlock Holmes in Washington where he played a Nazi spy ring leader, as well as the excellent The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes where he too played Dr. Moriarty but in a different time period. Nice to see both Dr. Moriartys together in the same movie.
You are a fan !

Don't u mean lionel atwill .he was n many movies, like Charlie chan murder cruise
@@joshua462 Yes, yes, yes, you are so right! Thanks for the correction. I don’t know how I could have made such a dumb mistake. I disappoint myself at times.
Oh forgive me. I should have put it this way. I really love this great Who-Done-It movie!! It has everything going for it in more ways than one!!
George Zucco--always fabulous--a silky villainous treasure in every movie he's in! a guilty pleasure!!
George dealing with scumbags. Great movie. Love George's work. ❤️ His life taught me to not take myself too seriously.
Wonderful cast. I wish they made beautiful, feminine women like Sharon Douglas, these days. Forties actresses were something special.
I agree,
@jfsfrnd these people are much older than our parents.Maybe grandparents to be precise
@Robby Bonfire, I know what you mean you're not talking about the women and how old they would be now how old they are there in that time frame, I feel the same way even up to the 60s westerns or on the 50s highway patrol, but for those guys to compare mothers and grandmas it's just silly, I definitely can relate, I have made the same type of comments a few times maybe we're just more nostalgic.
@emma jones I can handle that for you, (*suave English accent) Oh my Darling Judy Judy Judy, !!wait; Darling - still a'suave accent;-' I "mean misses '- misses' Jones.

Thanks Pizza. Zucco has that scary look in his eyes. Many hidden places. Peek-a-boo! Eerie. Enjoyed.
Lionel Atwill (1885 - 1946) was born in England and began his career there as a stage actor before emigrating to the USA. By 1918 he was a Broadway star and made his screen debut in 1919 and made a string of popular silent movies. He moved easily into "talking" pictures and by the 1930s was involved in horror movies. Some of his more memorable films were Captain Blood (1935), Son of Frankenstein (1949) and To Be Or Not To Be (1942) - this last film was, for him, a very rare comedy. He never pretended to be anything but a competent B grade actor but he achieved considerable success.
A very unique horror film, and George Zucco is quite good.
Thanx Pizza man! Really enjoyed this! Reminds me a bit of House on Haunted Hill and And Then Were None. Excellent!
WOW, that was some knock down, hammer down, fight scene those two guys had, then one got smashed over the head with a chair!!! Whew! Love it!
What a cast.Zucco, Atwill, Cowan, Keith& my favorite Veda Ann Borg. zwatch this one.
silly people are still fighting while they are drowning, nice film just wish it hadn't been so dark in between
OMG! That room where all of the water is filling up in is really scary! How are they going to get out, or are they?
Nope!
Love this movie 😊
Thank you for up loading this Film 😊🇬🇧
Good way to end a movie, justice done and happily ever after. I like this movie.
I always love the scene where people are stuck in a room with no way out and it starts filling up full of water, what a way to go.
hahaha WOW 😳
Thank you for posting this wonderful classic I'm enjoying it as I do all you're movies you upload 💕 Thank you once again 💕
I liked this older movie. I was 1 year old when they filmed this movie. Thank you for video.
I really enjoyed your old movies thanks for putting them up
Apples And Cinder Blocks
It's funny, I've been watching so many pre-code movies that I got used to not having a soundtrack. Now, it's almost distracting! LOL Of course, it doesn't detract from a great movie! Thanks!
WOW! What a great 👍 thriller, with a lot of twists and turns! Didn't know who to trust!
Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX. May the Sauce be with you.🍕🍕🍕
Steve Cannon you are correct!
Lionel Atwill, and George Zucco we're two fine British Actors.
Fog Island, The Black Raven, and they both the Diabolical Prof Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes.😊
Love it, as usual!! Thank you, Pizza!!
The volume could be louder, but other than that I love this who dunnit movie!
Three beautiful women in this film. Sharon Douglas was so polished and refined - a real beauty.
In all the movies I've seen that had Lionel Atwill in it, he never moved any quicker than he does in this one. Good actor though.
Poor George was plagued by Alzheimers later in life, back then it was
called dementia. He always played his villainous roles to perfection.
Wow, this was really a very good movie. Very enjoyable.
Been a great past few nights. I’ve watched The Old Dark House (1932), The Bat Whispers (1930), and now this.
he: I have no intention of leaving you alone. - she: very well then, i'll leave you alone.

Then....leave her ALONE!
This was a really good movie.
The description sounds like Then There Were None.
PizzaFlix -:- Awesome crime thrillers, and just an all around great RUclips channel !!!! I love all the info on these old shows, pre code also. Thank you for the time you have put into making this movie 🎥 channel one of the best on RUclips!!!!! +++++******A+ 😎
I really enjoyed this old thriller. Thank you.
Higher volume would make this far more watchable.
Thanks for the upload !! I love these public domain movies. I saw this by Another uploader !!
George Zucco always gave me the CREEPS WONDERFUL ACTOR
great movie crazy but good thanks for posting
Wonderful movie. What a way to get revenge. Thanks for the video.
Great film - especially seeing Zucco and Atwill together, it means murderous schemes.
Brilliant!
Absolutely Fantastic
I reviewed what others wrote. Surely you know that a film of this era won't have a lot of glitz and glamour at the beginning, and that the plot will unfold slowly over time. The idea of revenge or as Zucco puts it "retribution" is keen. Zucco certainly was methodical in planning the retribution. The ending is dramatic, and the love duo escape from Fog Island (aka Angel Island), out of the mist and into the day of another lifetime together.
Lots of shadow lurking in this movie.
Poor George Zucco ended his days in a mental institute . A lot of the B movie stars did not fare well in later life .
Steve Rhodes .....that is incorrect, do your research.
Booze probably, stick with weed.
George Zucco wasn't in a mental institution. He spent his final years at the Motion Picture Hospital facility in Woodland Hills, CA.
Amazing. Loved it.
Thank you PF!
woah now that was a tricky movie. thanks for posting it for us. its at least 3 1/2 stars. never saw a movie where all the questionable people died. bravo..
And then there were none, 10 little Indians....and others.
Alas, poor Yorick, I knew him well.
This looks better than my disc. Good show
Good movie Kind of hard to fully hear but a nice who done it..thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you.
I always love to discover the symbolic ‘puzzle-pieces’ (and foreshadowing) carefully placed by the Writer/Director, in whatever medium the story is told.
…Film allows great opportunities for this, and I feel happy whenever I spot one.
I’ve just begun watching this, but was tickled to notice that (while from the side it looks normal) the classical carved-feature in the centre of the fireplace - visible straight-on during the Host’s welcome-speech - appears to be a human-tongue; presumably extended in mockery of All who sit before it.
Lol; a perfect fit to the presumed-intentions of the current Host, and the Home’s (Piratical) Builder!
😜
Classic horror, from A (Atwill) to Z (Zucco)!
Jock... Very clever...take a bow.
Great old Movie, Thanks !
This was one of those pre-WWII mystery type movies that held its own as it intruded into the post WWII film noir era.
they made the ladies strong in those days or do not have cold receptors. Thin frocks, no sleeves, men in suits and overcoats
Great movie!
Great case 😊thanks
George Zucco is Awesome.
Oh dear 💅🍿this is so NOIR 🙆♀️Thank you for sharing with us 🦩💃🏾💫You are great 🦄🐬😇👒🍀🌎
Thank u 💓
Still another movie left unseen. However, Zucco and Atwill are always a good team. Cowan, if given half a chance is also good. DeWitt is like but not as fine as Gale Sondergaard. The others wooden soldiers. Loved the drowning routine. Back to sleep now.
Predictable; loved the stage theatrics, vintage fun like a 'vynal platter' play filmed.
Luv the older movies😷
Lol both Moriartys in one film, can`t be too bad.
@36:25, he selects "Crime and Punishment" by Dostoevsky. That tome is 576 pages and would be a much larger volume than the skimpy book he handed her.
This, and Black Raven, are my 2 favorite Zucco movies! (naturally, I love 'em all!)
BTW, I'm amazed that as of this date, 202 wasted, crack-heads found that they didn't ''like'' this great film. You'd think they could find lesser ways to spend their time?
great old movie
Ah! George Zucco!
The "Suave Malevolence" as I have dubbed him!
Totally unique, he was, and THE best at it!
. : .
Loved it x
Audio quality is improved considerably with the use of headphones. FYI
Similar to "and then there were none".
The murderer is... The murderer is..... BANG! oohhhhh... What good is a movie without Mantan Moreland?
VERY GOOD !
Wasn't he the comic foil in many Charlie Chans movies with Sydney Toles? His main feature was when frightened he would use "his bug-eyes"!
They don't even know that her step father is dead, yet she decides to go through his desk without talking it over with him first.
I don't know, but that seems a bit premature if you ask me.
Despite This, I Liked This Old Flik - Thank You For Posting 😎
Good movie
Nice big creepy house murder mystery with lots of sneaking, peeking, and people doing each other in. After seeing Veda Ann Borg as a hotshot taxi-driver cutie in another flick, I couldn't take her seriously as a nasty woman in this one. But she's a LOT more sexy in this picture. Enjoyed her acting. The rest were up to par. EAR PHONES are a necessity for this, and others, the sound of which is NOT high-fidelity. Thanks, again, PizzaFlix!
Has anyone heard of a movie made in the 40's or 50's about a nurse who disappears after taking a job and her boy friend comes looking for her. The house is haunted by multiple ghosts because the dr is performing operations that are distorting and killing patients he keeps in cages in the dungeons under the ground.
Fabulous
Good one 😉
Zucco is great, PERIOD
This my be a stupid question but was this filmed in a studio or a real island and what locations was this filmed?
People call these "B" pictures but they were really "C" pictures, relegated to second- and third-run theaters. The "big houses" wouldn't want PRC pictures on their screens.
I love it!
Great noir lightning.
We see a skeleton in that secret compartment. Does that mean that the person was concealed/trapped in there, without any clothing?! I don't think that clothes would completely disintegrate, without leaving any remnants behind.
That's only one reason it a b movie
OMG, I can't believe that's Donna Reed! gee just noticed, five minutes before the end of the film.
MAC what the heck was I thinking? Maybe a different film all together. You are on top of things, I like that.
Veda Ann Borg looks a great deal like a young Wendy Hiller.
I always thought the ending of this movie was funny until hurricane Ida hit the metropolitan area in 2021. Watching it now it's very disturbing.
Is there anyway you can pos The Uninvited, 1944 . It wound make my day, week, month, year!
Gail: Ditch Jeff. He's a control freak.
The women were polished and all the men wore suits.:)
