Finnish army calls it 9.00 PIST 80. I carried one when doing my one year service as a side arm meaning 9x19mm pistol adopted to service in 1980, but I've read stories that our army had those during the ww2 since germans "annexed belgium 1940). Some +2500 guns where delivered, but could be much more. It was easy to maintain, worked well in really cold (-25 celcius) if just lubricated and cleaned well.
Ofcourse the military guns are worn and torn, but had no problems with mine. Ratteled a bit maybe.
Your's is a perfect example of one of the best pistols ever made!
    Cheers from Finland 👌

Oh the one that I used had an ring at the end of hammer so it didn't give you any bite. Slide perhaps if you keep it wrongly.

Another great classic, Sgt 1911! Although it's been a few years, I fired a highly customized Novak BHP at an indoor range once. As nice as it was, there's just something to me about a plain Jane, old school BHP that has a been there, done that attitude that I prefer.

Great perspective. Thanks for the video. I agree--the trigger doesn't compare to a 1911's. But... it's still a short, crisp, predictable break... so I find it really has negative impact on shooting. I've got small hands, and the grip /trigger reach are absolutely perfect for me. Nothing feels like a BHP in my hands. Mine's as reliable as anything and it's pretty much the only gun my wife wants to shoot when we go to the range.

Nice video, Brother. Finally got my 1981 Series 70 1911 a few months ago; followed that up about a week later with a 1972 C-Series BHP. Haven't shot either yet but my two main bucket guns I couldn't pass up. Am curious about the hammer bite on your BHP because you didn't touch on that in the video. How did it feel?

    • @SGT1911

Pretty cool! I have an Canadian Chinese contract Inglis High Power. Marking on the slide Browning FN 9MM HP Inglis CANADA MK 1 All marching serial numbers the pistol was made for and shipped to the Chinese government and has the CH in the serial number! It has Tangent rear sights out to 500 meters and a pyramid front sight. It is slotted for the should stock/holster and I have an original stock/holster for it. With the Original manufacture stock/holster it does not require NFA paper work or tax stamp. After market stocks Do Not Qualify for this exemption. I was lucky to pick this up as a Chinese surplus before the ban on Chinese firearms. The sights make this pistol more accurate than the standard H.P. sights due to the pyramid front sight.

Oh Sgt 1911....... what's happening up here in Canada is unbelievable when it comes to handguns. I hope I can own 1 of these 1 day. On a side note many of these were produced in Canada by Englis.

But I supposedly the same company that made my dishwasher.
Keep up the good work on this channel!!
PS. I found the laws in Canada to be okay but what's coming in fall is completely changing everything.
It will eliminate the sale both public and private of handguns as far as I understand.
If you have one you can keep it grandfather.
The only people who will be able to purchase is law enforcement and security and stuff like that.
      As far as I understand.
