So much potential in Africa. There's growth in Tanzania, Ethiopia, DRC, Kenya and more. You can do real estate, education, health, transport and live peacefully. In some parts there is conflict. You have to say that two or more languages are more powerful and united we stand, divided we fall.

@PanKrzysztofTM We do have our own version of the internet here in Tanzania especially. The way it works is by the collective echoes of ancestors that are channelled through our elders by electromagnetic waves that we then channel into binary data. This system can work work both ways sending and receiving data and we have managed to work with giants like Starlink and Meta to advance this technology.

Good video, it's nice to see quality modern railways being open in Tanzania. Just a small correction, this train probably doesn't go at 175 km/h, as the line speed is 160 km/h (allowed to exceed by 1-2 km/h sometimes). The number of highest speed on your GPS app is likely due to GPS "jumping" around when signal isn't fully stable, resulting in incorrect readings for a second or two which is still shown by the app. Still, the speed of 160 km/h is impressive nonetheless and much faster than any car or bus, not to mention superior comfort and safety. I hope to travel on this train one day.

Excellent commentary. I did that trip 3-4 times in a sleeper compartment in steam-train days, when my dad was running the Geological Survey in Dodoma. Every carriage had platforms so we could stand outside. I see Lion Rock! It's very small as it's far away here, but really dominates the downtown. A point to make in future videos is that ki-swahili is really easy to learn.

Back in P4, when I moved to Tanzania, I picked up Kiswahili in just three months. By my second term, I scored a solid 98% on the exams and ranked 2nd in my class. Kiswahili is a beautifully straightforward language to learn-practical yet poetic. Sadly, over 35 years in the U.S. have dulled my fluency, and most of it has slipped away.
Every time I hear someone speak Kiswahili here in the States, I instinctively try to join the conversation. But man, the words just don’t flow the way they used to, and I stumble. Still, it reminds me of how vibrant and unifying the language truly is. Kiswahili isn’t just a way to communicate-it gives East Africans a deep sense of identity and pride.
I’ve heard Uganda is moving to make Kiswahili an official language, which I think is a brilliant step toward regional unity. Language has always been a great bridge, and few understood this better than President Julius Kambarage Nyerere. He was a visionary leader, far ahead of his time, who saw Kiswahili as a tool for connecting people across tribes. His legacy reminds us that language is more than just words-it’s a powerful force for bringing communities together.

the change from MGR that had days of delays now we have on time arrival and departure with these high speed rail network is simply phenomenal. they should soon connect the entire country with these trains as soon as possible, especially to places like Arusha, Iringa, Songea and other cities.
Only if they can maintain the same process without delays in the future as well then that would be the greatest achievement Tanzania has done so far apart from the introduction of BRT.

Those certainly are splendid trains, and believe they've worked out the bugs and the S. Korean trains are going to be the world standard for a while. In my youth we had trains like that in the US, though they would look dated now they appeared quite cutting edge at the time. And they were smooth, even with 39-foot (12.5-meter) segments of rail bolted together, and wooden ties. They were all like that, and could be perfectly smooth at high speed of 90 or 100. (145-161 km/hr) Now US trains are all rough and slightly scary. I will definitely be watching the video about the train interior.

Awesome! But these fairs are crazy high! Easily beating those you find in europe for simular distances. But if there is still high demand, who am I to judge. Hopefully more tanzanians will be able experience the train in the future 🙏

Great work. Top standard public transport in Tanzania, while the US fails doing the same thing. Time to readjust some opinions I guess.

Meanwhile in South Africa rail has all but collapsed due to theft of rail infrastructure and government corruption and incompetence.

Seeing that the train set are delivered fully assembled from Korea, I wonder how the servicing, repairs and parts sourcing works. I hope there is local skills and manufacturing investment into those areas.
