    It was 100% a work. Tyson himself said he doesn't care about legacy... he cares about his family and their future. • @dqreps
      @dqreps 5 дней назад +1

      Just because he doesn't care about legacy does not mean that the fight was fixed or he was holding back. I've been boxing for 30 years. When you hit 58, you're no longer good. A shadow of your former self. I'm not sure why people just don't understand this. They expected iron mike and they got old man mike Instead. That's all. Nothing more to it than that

Unless you're a fighter, it's hard to understand but these things happen all the time. I have seen other fighters on here talk about this as well and shrug it off like it's nothing. It just looks "bad".

      @@dqreps You are full of sh*t. I boxed for 14 years. Yes, at 58, you arent going to be who you were at 20. But both of these guys were so loaded up with juice, it rewinds the clock quite a bit. The Tyson you saw during that fight, wasnt doing what he was doing because he is "old". Even at 58, you are a fool if you think that Tyson can only throw and land a handful of punches hahaha. All you have to do is take a look at the contract the fight was under. Paul and Tyson took everyone for a ride lol. The reason you saw Tyson doing what he did in there, was because he was ensuring that he got paid, and got paid as much as possible. He knows this is his last chance for a payday of that level.

    Sean Oliver does not get it. It was an exhibition match and scripted like wrestling. What is not to get? Mike Tyson needed money for his family. Shocking he does not get it was fixed. Boxing has been fixed since it started.

    It boggles my mind how people cant wrap ther head around this....a 27 year old beat a 60 year old man....he didnt even knock him out it went to a decision....it wasnt even a legit boxing match 8 2 mins rounds...listen i hate jake paul and all it boils down to is the name....its mike tyson....he got old hes still mike tyson in my eyes....hes my favourite fighter....what u think is more likely this grand conspiracy or a guy in his prime boxed a 60 year old man to a decision....if anything thats a slight against paul not tyson

    If you're citing restrictive rules like that, why would Mike come out strong then unwind to zero after the third?
    If the paycheck was to last 8 you would come out slow, pretend to feel each other out for the first few rounds, then slowly ramp up for an exciting finish... & if it resulted in a KO late, you're still getting paid.
    To.start strong & finish weak makes no sense & leaves everyone unhappy & resulted in boos from the crowd.
    I would think late injury on top of lingering health issues makes more sense.
    The knee probably went too late to postpone a 2nd time & when he couldnt reach Jake after 2, he stood & watched his defence as best he could to finish it out.

    Mike was biting his gloves because he wanted to sell the notion that he was rattled because thats what mike used to do in the amateurs and when he was being beaten, it was part of the work, Kev is right, mike tyson has already been beaten by fighters he should of destroyed, keven mc bride danny williams and some other guy who i cant remember, and mike didnt just lose he got smashed and knocked out, so basically mike doesnt care so much for his record or belts etc, he got a type of depresion from losing that made him give up caring about it, prior to the jake paul fight mike had 5 losses he took 20 million to make it 6 losses, one number vs 20 million

    Keep in mind Tyson made millions but didnt take home millions. His promoters took a good percentage of his money. This pay day helped him make a better life for his kids and family. This money he has a chance of getting and keeping now that he's older and wiser.
