Fleet being -2 is WILD TO ME LOL. I personally think it's the most even and straight forward mu reminds me of peach versus fox, except peach is a better character. Zetters amazing combo potential and very reliable and safe options into up smash are very good against Fleet as she dies super early to up smash. Zetter doesn't get too much off of grabs in this mu, but he doesn't really need it overall. He also has some pretty good mixups when recovering with his flip if given the chance, but he still gets edge guarded heavily if he's forced to up B (yeah, go figure lmao.) Fleet's best burst option to deal with zetter pressure is ISF nair which is harder to get if the zetter constantly crosses up your shield. Fleet also gets very small hits if people just DI her throws out. Her fair being also smaller and still having the disadvantage of being able to be SDI'd and floor hugged really show if you're competently abusing them. And both characters kinda opt out of using their projectile in neutral as it's just not worth the risk of it getting parried and giving your opponent a possible huge game changing advantage. All in all I think it's pretty even from my experience tbh
I don't really agree that Fors is +1, he outneutrals Zetter very hard because all his moves are both quicker and have more range, his dair being crazy large and one of the only true spikes in the game due to its angle means that getting offstage is more dangerous against than against most other characters, and he combos Zetter just as hard as the opposite. Also how is Ranno's frame data supposed to be worse than Zetter's ?
For clarien, I find she has a lot of difficulty landing if you get her in the air. Up air is great in the matchup and if she tries to land with dair you can punish with fsmash because the lean back allows you to dodge the large swing. But I always have a tougher time with forsburn. His range can be just really difficult to deal with.
Dual lox/zet main here with a couple top zets in my region. Fors was real bad for zet in rivals 1 and, while I think it's not as bad in rivals 2, I really don't think it's a winning mu. I'd put it at -1 for zet at best. Fors effectively wants to play the same game as zet. He can box with zet fine and absolutely kills him off stage. I think the lox/zet mu is -2 for lox. He can edgeguard zet but good zets aren't giving you an easy edgeguard and zet wins pretty hard every where else. It feels like bullying for lox. The fleet mu is interesting. It feels like both fleet and zet mains think it is losing for their character. Neutral is stupid annoying/difficult for zetter, getting out of punishes/dying early is stupid annoying/difficult for fleet. 100% agree on ranno. Curious question: I play Zetter as a secondary and played Fox in Melee for a decade. Is shine out of shield a good option for Zetter defensivly? When I was trying it this weekend, he doesn't stay in jump squat like Fox does, and it doesn't have the frame 1 invisibility as far as I know.
Lox has range on you, but once you get in you should be absolutely clobbering him. Most Lox's in silver spam options like roll or tilt that are just flat out not safe if you know they're coming. Your projectile is better than his, and you're faster. So if you see a Lox going to the corner to spam tilts and magma ball, just dash dance right out of range and throw your own projectile. Yours does DOT and make your moves stronger, so that will force Lox to take a risk to get out. Sheild their dash attack or jump over their side-b and you get a free grab or dair. If they stay in the corner, try wiff punishing their projectile right as they throw it or jump over their ftilt. Now they are pressured in the corner which is the last thing they want Over simplification, but the general idea is to use your speed to apply pressure Good luck 👍
As a Lox player, it feels like Zetters win if they have space to dance around me. On smaller stages where my axe can cover everything, I feel great and able to oppress him, otherwise I feel like I inevitably whiff a move and immediately get combo'd for 40% or more
