What is the button for on the dash which is to the right of the passenger heated seat button? It has a red and yellow dot on it. I've never seen this button on European spec cars...

@@richardprice7763 The neat feature, you could prepay for cell service and the car became an extra cell phone. By the time the Viggen came about, Saabs were sold through Cadillac dealers, which is why they got On Star as part of their North America package.

you are talking about OnSstar. Google it. it is a GM subscription service for vehicles. Provides emergency communication and emergency call

Too bad these Saabs had weak reverse gears
We had several of them over the years and never had any issues with the reverse.
100,000 miles and absolutely no transmission problems.
