  • This video gives a fair and honest comparison of the Dewalt XR DCD996 and the Milwaukee FUEL 2904-20 Brushless Cordless Drills. I use a 1 inch paddle bit on each drill and make sure that each drill has a full charge before performing the test. I also tried my best to apply even pressure to each drill as to not skew the results. Leave a message in the comments if you have either of these drill and what you think of them and also let me know if there is any way to improve the accuracy of these tests. Be sure to susbcribe to the channel and check out my other tool and DIY videos. Thanks for watching, have a great day!

This is not an accurate test as there are a couple of major variables missing. Number 1 - how hard you were pushing the drills and number 2 - The quality and hardness of the wood you were drilling on to. If you can find a way to test the Torque and the Speed of both, that is all we need. Drilling thru the same block of wood does not mean anything as you might be drilling on a harder surface on one. Please notice that the surface of the hole produced by the dewalt drill is smoother than the milwaukee's. Maybe the drill was pressed a little less harder on it.

You're right there are a lot of variables. I tried to use the same pressure on each drill and not favor one or the other but yes there are varying degrees of how hard the wood is in different locations. Therr are a lot of other variables as well. I don't really do these tests anymore mainly because I've found most of the big name brands perform so closely to each other it is kind of a waste of time.

That milwaukee performs far better with a 6.0 HO battery

I'll have to pick up that battery and give it a test! Thanks for watching, have a good night!

Did you not think the test was thorough enough? I kind of stopped doing these head to head videos because I found most perform pretty much the same.
