This is what I’m doing now, taking space from family. It’s not easy. As they are making it seem like I’m the problem.

Forgiveness is vital for healing, but it doesn't mean to continue accepting bad, abusive,or neglectful behavior from the person you have forgiven. Forgiveness is a gift, but sometimes distancing oneself from people who continue to hurt you is also a gift.

I'm sure this will be very helpful to many people. Forgiveness dissolves karma. Forgiveness of others because of what they did to you/others and forgiveness of yourself for reacting the way you had to react to survive that toxic family dynamic. Funnily enough forgiveness of others is far easier than forgiveness and love of yourself. Both take practice and time.

I was told by one of my kids I should never have responded in fear there was no other way to respond cause I was in a highly charged traumatising situation where my kids father was brainwashing them both against me teaching them to hate me not to go to school to basically do the opposite to everything I said at that time he not me had all the power I'm still trying to get over it to this day one son understands the other doesn'ti did my best in a violent abusive situation and that's what I have to tell myself daily to try to cope with all I went thru

Everyone in my family always Always never forget to remind me that I am a black male and that things will always be harder for me to do only because of my skin color. I didn’t like the hate and self discomfort that resides behind those words so I always tried to forget those teachings, because if I had not had that teaching in grained and I didn’t get the job I wanted, then all I would have seen was that I just simply wasn’t chosen... I tried to explain to my mom and aunt but they only saw neglecting who you are and your ancestors in that sense. The experience up front was more greasy in their minds so I can’t blame them. But yes, it is very emotionally frustrating to see your parents hold on to limiting ideas.

I have to forgive my parents for being physically, psychologically and emotionally abusive towards me and my sister during all my life. The fisical abuse stopped when I was about 20 years old. However, the emotional abuse still occurs on a daily basis. It's a very difficult lesson to learn specially when all my ego wants now It's to cause them the same pain they've caused me.

At first I was thinking about my boyfriend and his family, his whole family is abusive and traumatic. Then I realised this stuff can apply to my family as well. Everyone is super kind and sweet, but the amount of anxiety and phobias in this family are pretty intense and it's definitely passed down for generations.

I agree with everything you say. I'm one of 7 and that's a big family. I can honestly say that I had good parents who supported all of us although some of my siblings might not agree with me. I felt loved always without someone running after me saying I love you all the time I just knew. Later in live I married a control freak and that was very distressing and almost landed me in a psychiatric clinic. I have 2 boys both adults now and I'm immensely proud of them because I think they ended up being decent human beings. One of the boys is a dad and the amazing thing is that he is a very good dad, very loving to his kids without taking any shit and the kids are wonderful. That's really my point inspite of having a very bad role model he turned things around. I'm not sure how he is spiritually because we don't talk about it. I just find it better not to ramm my stuff down his throat. So to recap, I had a good childhood, a crap marriage and out of that came 2 good and decent adults

Lisa Romano kicked me out of her group because I posted that the feelings coming up for me were suicidal. I didn’t say I was suicidal, I said I wasn’t going to do anything but as a child I felt suicidal a lot as I was sexually abused. She kicked me out of her group, didn’t ask me any questions, seemed more like she was protecting herself against a “problem”. So beware. There was something inauthentic about that as she never even followed up to see how I was or anything!

It seems to me that a lot of so called Spiritual" people are seriously lacking in EMPATHY. So many people are in Crisis now... Severe depression and anxiety and assorted stuff going on.. It is overwhelming to say the least. A lot of spiritual people see this as negative.. and will sideline you.. Abandon you in your hour of need. It teaches us to Grow strong roots, that maybe we have what it takes within us... Spirit is LOVE and it WILL see us through Jessica. I know what it is like.. the suffering and anguish... But it is important to Identify What it is that is making us suffer so. Victim programming.. and Overanalysing..Mind..self punishment and what not... See if you can practise ALLOWING yourself to let go of that by the by.. It is a state we are used to... A LOT of people are.. Look around and notice. It is 3D consciousness of Fear and Survival in a brutal world and after Childhood abuse and severe trauma it is how we learned to cope. But we have basically been our own worst enemy. Compassion and empathy from others is important, but only WE can decide to say NO to this shadow mind trying to resist the natural flow of SURRENDER. All my love to you, you are not alone, and you are stronger then you feel!

I can't imagine what my soul was thinking if it thought I needed all the crap I've been through. I always wonder why, considering our higher selves are supposed to be so intelligent and understanding and generally what we'd think of as perfect, they can't think of a way to teach the same lessons without the horror. I'm at a loss as to why I seem to be someone who thinks about all the things Nicki talks about, but all the understanding in the world doesn't make me feel better. I also wonder if I'm the only person who feels like, in many cases, that "learning X isn't worth going through Y" People in my family are beyond learning anything they don't already think, unfortunately. They are fixated on the ideas of "should, must, and have to". My family never learns to "accept" things they think are literally evil, but that idea almost always includes anything they don't do. I would give anything for a permanent separation from my family, but it won't happen due to their belief that they have a divine absolute right to run my life and the ability to enforce it upon me no matter what I want or how old I get. I have a problem with forgiveness because I don't know how to get past the idea that a person needs to be sorry for what they've done to deserve forgiveness. If someone is unrepentant, so to speak, it might be meant to help me more than them, but I just have a visceral response to the idea of forgiving those who won't or can't change themselves to be worthy of it.

    • @sagebay2803

Heredity can also extend to an entire race of people. A race is basically an extended family that shares similar genetic, physical, and mental traits. The different races of mankind evolved in different parts of the world in different environments. There's no way everyone is the same. Different races developed certain mental faculties and higher intelligence that served them well in certain environments that required "thinking outside the box" in order for them to survive, while other races simply didn't need to evolve such intelligence and relied more on their physical capacities. This explains why, for example, different races on average differ in I.Q. and athletic performances.
Not only do we have to deal with the Karmic heredity of our family members, but our race as well. And if you decide to reincarnate into another race in your next lifetime, you'll probably pass on that Karmic heredity that you had from your previous life as another race.

    • @jwb52z9
      @jwb52z9 6 лет назад +4

You do realize that trying to tie intelligence to race, which is basically an imaginary construct when you get down to it on a biological level, is a bigoted idea, right?

So we have this karma where my mom is constantly going towards her mom (my grandmother) desperately trying to give her love to her mom but my grandmother is constantly cold and not interested and she is only watching for herself and her needs. My mom is not that much of a warm person and she knows to yell like all of a sadden for some not important thing and I think that all of that is coming from the love she is lacking from her mom. Sadly I do that too towards my mom.. I tried so many times to tell her and explain and give her unconditional love other times I've tried to brake the pattern and not feel neglected and brake the bond but I've failed.. My mom constantly is talking to her mom and she's making plans for cooking or to go grocery shopping and I'm feeling so left out like a black sheep. No matter what I say or how I say it it never changes. If I'm arguing with Grandma, my mom is always against me, and to be honest I really feel that my grandmother hates me because I can feel it, she can't look me into my eyes without hers to shake sooo much she can't keep them still like a guilt from within, every day she finds something to do or say so she could get me mad and I can't help it I can't keep it calm I'm trying every day so that and the fact that I see like a wall between me and my mom is not helping to the feelings towards her too..

I don't think many people in the comments understand generational karma. Generational karma has nothing to do with abuse or mistreatment. Generational karma is: My Grandma was poor because she gave too much, Granddad too, Mom was poor because she she was always bailing big sis and big bro out of jail. Dad was poor because he didn't put his foot down at work and allowed his boss to pay him peanuts when he was worth more.
So the theme here is the family needs to set boundaries, have self confidence, and quit giving so much to others. Then you break the karma by not making the same mistakes as them. Only give what you can afford to lose and speak up for yourself. That's generational karma. Has nothing to do with you being the black sheep or outcasted.

Yeah but if the sarcasm really effects your mental and emotional health then best to cut ties. If they are very toxic.

What about abuse in every sense from both parents . Neglected and starved . How can you forgive that . I broke the cycle but I still get karma.

Take away all the talk of karma and what you really have is a pretty practical guide to healing and forgiveness. I think the karma part probably turns a lot of people away which is sad.

Nicky I grew up in a family that never expressed love to others. Nicknames weren't used either. I don't feel comfortable saying 'luv, darling, sweetie' etc & can never hug & kiss unless it's my husband. We all get on ok but This was only a thing we'd do to Grandma cos she was old & sick ?? How can I change this? I luv helping, giving gifts & luv chatting but feel guilty when I can't physically & mentally complete the task. Any ideas?

Work on yourself more. It will come....just takes time, and work. Try other youtube videos: Mooji, Sadhguru, Bryon Katie, Eckhart Tolle, etc. so many out there....you will get there. My family was/is awful. No love either.
