At least the brother’s business wasn’t a fried chicken skin restaurant, which accidentally burned down on thanksgiving after being open for only three weeks. But seriously, f those parents.

LMAO, a fried chicken skin restaurant?! That’s oddly specific but hilarious! 😂 And yeah, those parents are the real villains here.

OP, it's not easy. Your mom is an amazing person. It's not easy to leave an abusive relationship. You owe your mother gratitude. She didn't betray you. Your dad did. She gave the home up to make a wrong right. Also my parents didn't pay for my college either I paid my own way

OP’s mom clearly made a tough call for the right reasons. That’s the kind of courage and love you don’t see every day

I really think the parents dropped the ball here. because an investment in a startup is always going to be a gamble regardless of how you frame it. because at the end of the day you can never know how a business will turn out. they could have lost everything if the brother failed.
also I think the father will only learn that he was wrong the moment his favorite Sons business fails. because at the end of the day I think that's the only way for him to learn what a colossal mistake he made.
as for the brother I think he's got at least some decent morals. and if you truly did not know then well there's nothing for him to be blamed about.
as for the mother it's going to take a lot of effort on her end to make things right. but at least she is trying.

The brother is as bad as the parents. He could've given the money back to his brother but he didn't. Heck he could've offered to co-sign a loan but he didn't.

Funny how OP mother left OP, when should be fighting and supporting both son's from the START. Its too late too little 🤡
    .
He is her son too.. they already support his brother for everything before when its time for OP they pulled the rugged under him.
    .
And DAD ? He Just gonna come back with a sorry when OP settle to get back into his life. After he destroyed OP future. 🤡

I’m always suspicious of these golden child tales because it’s being told from the other side quite often the person who’s accused of being the golden child is a case of jealousy. Let’s be honest looking from the outside. The OP is jealous because his parents chose to give a bunch of money to his brother instead of giving it to him, even though and brothers they might actually get a return on investment while they were getting nothing from him.

Are you mental? His parents propped him up and pulled the rug from under him. His reaction was accurate as hell. His parents pushed him to do all those extra classes and clubs and then screwed him over. The fact that you're too dense to get that is amazing for all the wrong reasons

The story is silly. You don't get accepted to an engineering program unless they know that you've got scholarship and money to go. A prestigious engineering school does not accept you unless they know you will be there for 4 years. They have to keep their rates up. That's how they're prestigious. They don't let you in unless you can afford it. So you are being accepted meant that you had the money

It's almost as if the story was written by an AI that didn't know that. Crazy, right?
