That was a really nice repair. No searching for the problem, no thermal cam needed, no messuring, …just a simple broken usb-port. Easy and smooth, but still a good job. Nice and thank you for the video.
I learned so many things from your videos and still learning. I was motivated to buy some basic tools and equipment to practice until I opened a home-based business for computer repair. I learn something new every time I watch a new video and Masha Allah you are amazing at what you're doing. Thank you for sharing these videos. عيد سعيد وكل عام وانت والأهل بخير وعافية
I’m very much a newbie and a terrible solderer. I’m a little confused which is far from unusual for me. Everyone says not to put solder on your iron but to hear up what you are soldering and add the flux wire to that. However, every skilled expert I’ve seen puts the solder on their iron when doing SMDs. Now I know who 'Big Boss' is and how he got his name whenever I hear it it makes me smile. Today I heard an appalling story of a mother and child, I’m glad there’s still people in the world with good family values.
Last day when i came through a broken powerbank charging connector i just thought of having your 500 port box. You are a good teacher. Keep going . Love from india🎈
That’s about keeping everything safe and help each other out , even thought you might have the ones who agree with what you do but it’s your business you choose what you want to do ! Everyone wants everything for free ! But those don’t understand you have a family to feed and take care of , I’m also one of those who loves to give back I go to a homeless Shelter and if someone needs something I repair or replace it at no charge to them and most of the times I have the parts from donations that I get from my local church thank you 🙏 sir for all your hard work and helping us learn every time you post a new video !
From watching so many episodes the workmanship you do on the boards is definitely better than factory. But you do such a good job but that's because of you doing it for so long you know all the tricks and refined them to doing it better than factory. Keep up the good work.
hey my man the plus and minus symbol are visible, + is almost to the edge of the board and the - is bottom right corner of the dark green square, just wanted to point that out, great job with the repair, you make it look so easy for sure
Thank you very much northrigefix for the 50$ giveaway , to be honest you are making giveaway since you started this channel these informations are priceless 😊
There's a minus too, in the far right, where the board changes color. I was thinking about that too, there are marks, but he did not see them, and I was screamimg internally "NO! LOOK, THERE ARE THE MARKS!" 😅 Like Alex said, the viewer will see these things a lot easier, because they don't have to focus on the repair itself.
You beat me to it. I was looking at the board, and when Alex said: "There are no markings on the board", it was talking to my laptop: "Yes, there they are"... I guess this is how children feel when Dora asks them a question on television...
For someone who does regular repairs, that 500 port box sure is handy. nothing worse than waiting on parts each time you do a repair. I've seen you do many port replacements in the videos. Kep the videos coming 👏👌👍😃
When i fix my friend's electronic, or my family electronic by myself, it's very satisfying when i see their happy with my repair. I think i dont have any hobby in my life, but i think now i have :) i start fixing my laptop that have short, with 1 solder and home tools and try buy some capasitor in internet that have same code and same shape. i hope can learn more from your video. :)
"A boldozer can never remove that connector " 👍great say & wisdom say from you 👏 , but my little brother disagree he said " i can destroy it better than factory too" with his little hands ✋😉
I really could have used that assorted port box a few years ago. It's nice that you guys took the time to make something so useful. Thanks for your hard work and your uploads. Your videos are always enjoyable. Have a great week.
Wow that's amazing, I also want to fix board level repair soon when I can afford to buy some tool. As of now I love watching you're video man I learned a lot. Love from PH❤️🇵🇭
That 500 Ports box made my life so much easier. I was able to repair so many stuff with it. If i had to buy one by one i probably ended up much more expensive
The way i see it , you are going to become an electronics repair empire very soon . Branches in everystate and possibly in every country . If you accept my suggestion . Start education service . The first generation will run the shops and you focus on education and growth
Good Job saving the world from more e-waste, if only we all just brought somethings once and just repaired them, cars, gps, all things. We could save so much waste. Good luck on right to repair over there. Your doing gods work, keep it up. More video card repairs please. Love those videos.
Awesome job on the Garmin my old unit had same issue and did not know it could be replaced that way I will try to fix mine in the same way I may need to order the same port form your site

As you were saying, "we do not have any plus or minus on the board," I noticed a clear plus on the edge of the board 2:04

You are a good teacher.
Keep going .
Love from india🎈
another fine fix. You do the repair community a great deal of good. Not only with your attitude, but your business ethics.
As you were making the repair, I was explaining to my Stepson what you were doing.
That’s about keeping everything safe and help each other out , even thought you might have the ones who agree with what you do but it’s your business you choose what you want to do ! The world needs more people like you ✨
Nothing can be better than factory, except for Northridge Fix! I want a t-shirt with that saying
The 2nd DC wire has (+) too. Only its at the board's edge and thus partially printed
There's a minus too, in the far right, where the board changes color.
I was thinking about that too, there are marks, but he did not see them, and I was screamimg internally "NO! LOOK, THERE ARE THE MARKS!" 😅
Like Alex said, the viewer will see these things a lot easier, because they don't have to focus on the repair itself.
hehe same same. there‘s + and - marked 😂😂😂
was just about to mention this
You beat me to it. I was looking at the board, and when Alex said: "There are no markings on the board", it was talking to my laptop: "Yes, there they are"...
I guess this is how children feel when Dora asks them a question on television...
Seeing these videos inspired me to repair smd and sharpen my smd had soldering skills 😅 thank you 😊
2:07 There are two very faint symbols on the PCB for + and -. However, they are NOT on the copper side, only on the solder mask.
Great work, man!
Your an expert, I would definitely trust you to work on any and all my electronics.
That connecter box... Man, what can I say. Absolutely lovely.
It's a Garmin "Diesel" a reference to it's intended use by truckers who drive big semi trucks. Greetings from Texas
Looks better than factory!
For someone who does regular repairs, that 500 port box sure is handy. nothing worse than waiting on parts each time you do a repair. I've seen you do many port replacements in the videos. Kep the videos coming 👏👌👍😃

In continuity mode you can touch ground and identify which pad is ground, then obviously the other will be red. Great vid as usual Alex.
"A boldozer can never remove that connector " 👍great say & wisdom say from you 👏 , but my little brother disagree he said " i can destroy it better than factory too" with his little hands ✋😉

It's good to see a nice straightforward repair and not another Hiroshima bomb.
Agreed! The guy didn't get the crazy idea he could do it himself and got a pro right off the bat to do it for him.
