I lost my dad to cancer 10 years ago, and my mum to dementia last year so Christmas has been a bit of a downer for me and my bro for a few years now. I also played God of War at home by myself on Christmas, though it was a re-play to prep me for Ragnarök and it was after a day spent with my mates families who refused to have me spend it alone. Best Christmas I've had in ages. Shout outs to those out there who weren't as fortunate as I. Love Your vids Ola, been watching you since the early days since you were still squeezing in guitar practice in between taking your daughter to and from school. Glad you’re up and feeling little better Ola. I too have had major major back injuries in the past and deal with incredible amounts of pain. Aside from the discipline of learning proper stretching and exercise routine, I have cut sugar out of my life. And can tell you, the correlation is very real. The difference in pain is night and day. Not to mention the other health benefits that come with removing sugar from your diet. God Speed , buddy! Happy New Year!
I just bought my first Solar guitar. Came in the mail 2 hours ago. Black V with one pickup and Floyd Rose (V1.6FRC+ - CARBON BLACK MATTE). Boy, oh boy! I tuned it and plugged it in. Jammed for a couple of minutes. What a great axe, everything is perfect. Lightweight, comfortable, the neck and frets are perfect, the setup is fine in spite of the shipping travel (I live in SW Texas), the padded gig bag is awesome. I do fist 👊🏻 bumps or elbows with my friends lol, but I don’t want to get sick. I’ve also been dealing with neck/back surgery recovery since 2007 and was told by surgeons that I would be in chronic pain 4-ever. I just try to keep Chugging(PT), stay positive, and enjoy everything in life; because it’s (life) too short & I was lucky enough to have survived. My surgeries were long and extensive, as so has been my rehabilitation. I am thankful to be here for my family and to be able to be apart of this & so many other heavy metal communities! TY for getting my gift to my house on time. It arrived at 9pm on X-mas eve, and so…..Ola Saves X-mas!! Oh man…I just got over the stomach flu. It was horrible and w feel your pain. It took me about a week and a half to heal and gain some of my strength back. I’m happy that you feel better. Plus, I love how you randomly did this video. Your regular layout on your videos are awesome too. But if he did more videos like this one, I would not mind at all. The first thing I do when I wake up Sunday mornings is tune in to your vids. Always💯💯💯. It’s a great way to start the day. Take care and all the best .

I used to use a 6 space rack with a Ampeg VSP preamp, compressor, and a qsc rmx amp ( their heavy ones). That rack was like 80 lbs and miserable to move around. At least it had wheels and a handle.
This was pretty enjoyable video and probably the only thing I missed was Tha News. :D It's cool so see more behind the scenes type of content every now and then.
I think i remember Paul Gilbert saying on a JHS video that he named his pedalboard a certain name and got around the whole traveling thing. For example the inventory or list would read "supermegapedalboard" and so would be written on the pedalboard itself. Maybe you can do this or something like that with your rack? Maybe I'm totally misremembering... 😅

The 23rd was my birthday and I was sick as a dog. Chills and excruciating brain pain like never before. And a horrible stomach bug. I was really sick last year this time its becoming a tradition I think. Its the 29th and im just starting to get better. Ive also been eating salads. I was recovering from a small bowel obstruction this time last year. I threw up a bunch in the hospital. Love some green guitars. May you and your family get well soon.

I switched to using Linux in various variants in the early 00s and I fiddle around a lot with opensource free stuff, amongst others also audio recording in Ardour and video editing in OpenShot and OBS on Ubuntu Studio, and there are no such moronic limitations as 'your CPU is too old' when doing that - worth a try 😉?
Get well soon Ola! I feel ya. I had chronic sciatica for months, because of this my immune system was shot to hell and I contracted a serious C.diff stomach infection. Plus, when you're over 40 it takes longer to recuperate. Getting old sucks, lol.
